Great video. I'm a personal fan of the 18k gold men's watches. I have the Delirum, with the gold bracelet. And I just got the 18k Mariner today. Weighing 120 grams , and at a cost of $3,000, you can't go wrong. I love preowned internet deals on concord. A 120 gram Rolex would fetch over 10,009
Good background on a quality Swiss manufacturer that really flies under the radar. I have a 2000's Concord Mariner diver automatic rated for 200m that is only 9.6mm thick. With the robust integrated bracelet, this watch keeps me from lusting after a Czapek, AP, VC, and other integrated bracelet watches. Technically (water resistance, rotating bezel, and screw down crown) and aesthetically (sunray dial and high relief bezel) the Concord is a superior watch to those $20K+ options. What it lacks is the in-house movement and brand recognition. I think that Concord is a fantastic brand that just is not managed well through the Movado group. Nobody knows anything about the brand and Movado does near nothing to promote it. Try to find reviews of any of their models offered in the last 20 years and you will largely come up empty handed, making informed purchase decisions very difficult. It's a shame really. 😞
Great video! Movado mismanaged this historic brand for years. They finally seemed to wake up and introduced the C1 line, which garnered many industry accolades and awards. Unfortunately, this was around 2007/2008 during the financial crisis and they landed with a large thud. At $10,000 audacious watch just wasn't what people wanted at those times. Since then Concord has slipped into obscurity in the American marketplace.
Always makes my day better when Times Ticking uploads 🤗 Jake's voice is so great too! Silky smooth
heck , i love concords ...im getting my second Saratoga Quickset next week ...can't wait
Thank you 🙏
You’re welcome 😊
I really that nobody knows about how good these watches with automatic movements really are. Best kept secret. Don't tell anyone.
