Our pastures are connected by grass paths. In the winter they become very muddy and soggy with all of the back and forth traffic. To help keep the mud off our boots we lay the uneaten hay from the night before on the mud and make a little dry path for the humans to walk on. In the spring we over seed and let it fill in.
