Madeon really means what he says about albums- adventures is not just an album, it's an experience. Most pop and edm albums are simply singles grouped together and then packaged and sold. What madeon does in adventures is create an endless flow of music, each song isn't just a single, they are part of something bigger, which makes it hard not to just listen to the whole album not stop. I noticed porter did this in worlds too, and both of them do the same thing live- it's an endless flow of music where each song feels like a movement in a symphony. Its formula that was born in classical music but has been ignored for decades and these two are brilliant in bringing it back. I find it a lot easier to compare adventures to Pictures at an Exhibition (mussorgsky) than say an album by calvin harris etc. Just wonderful
Seeing that it is a tie IMO between Jamie XX and Disclosure for best album, I'm betting on Jamie for the win ! Still , like AlphaCrew, I'm disapointed that Madeon didn't even get a nomination.
