In this video I cover why I dislike squish molds, options to make them work better and ways to mold parts much more successfully than with squish molds

What, no sticky wax? #RobertTolone
Lol, I don't have one of those gizmos
Wait a minute.. You cannot reference Robert Tolone and not use wax....
You're an absolute legend Eric!
The parts you made for me were the most outstanding quality I've ever seen!
You most welcome!
Good job, Eric

Молодцом!
F4 phantom is more cool tha x-wing ... maybe i'm nostalgic but....
Lol
hello Eric, btw, why use squish molds over regular ones?
Dunno why you would, I don't like them.
justo lo que ando buscando... gran gran video. gracias por compartir.
I just stumbled onto your channel. I really have not looked up resin casting channels. But your thumbnail grabbed me.
Very interesting things in this video. I have been out of the business for 10 years and I am starting my new shop up. Well, right this moment. I'm actually getting ready to go in, today to get productive for the fist time in many years. This inspired me very much.
I picked up on some things that you did in making the two molds of the round vents or ports. It was a EUREKA moment for me. I have been engineering in my head for a while. To do a similar mold on the same shaped part that I have wanted to do differently then it has been done before. Because I have never been happy 100% with the results. THANKS!
You're got a new sub and I'm going to pass your channel on to others.
Beautiful work.
Thanks for the sub and leaving a comment. I hope that you leave many more in the future.
Maybe I missed it in the video, but why did you go with a squish mold vs an injection?
Making a point
@@EricStrebel Fair enough. Thanks!
Watched this video on advice from my good friend Peter Lawrence on just how castings should come out. Thank you for the excellent tutorial, subscribed!
Wow,awesome job on these Eric,& along the way you explained some of the pitfalls I've encountered while molding my lightsaber buttons- my best (& final) result was indeed injected,so thank you for sharing this process- fantastic work, sir.🏆
3:16 I wonder how much these parts have deformed over the years sitting in the box and in what ev environment it was stored it?
Good question, don't know of course
@@EricStrebel BT dubs, excellent video. Rock on 🤘
🤘
Fantastic to see! Thanks. The vent and injection pipe certainly worked well!
Great video and great job on the mold/cast. I think you need to create a 3d printer that prints sacrificial cardboard pieces. : ) Mahalo for sharing!
Good idea, interesting concept, hmmmm
This is really cool.
Your mold key idea is really great.. I 3d printed the mold key so that i can use it many times...btw why didnt you consider to do undergate mold rather than squish mold..thanks
Making a point about squish molds...
@@EricStrebel I see..good point there
Very cool!
Great video bud!!!!
Thanks
