Hi Glenda, I should have mentioned in the video… the ‘new supporter’ is just what shows up when you are testing. I’m actual fact when a real person makes a donation it does indeed show their name in place of ‘new supporter’! Speaking of which… thank you so much for your support and the coffee! I am very grateful 🙏😊
Hi Alec. Great video thank you. I have followed your instructions for BMC thanks so much. One question - when you have two widgets running as you demonstrated, and someone buys a coffee ☕️ - will you get the sound twice too? As this might cause a slight echo if two are playing at the same time? Thanks in advance. Andrew
Thanks Andrew, glad it was helpful! Although technically there will be two separate alert sounds playing, they are triggered at precisely the same time so there is no audible duplication. I just duplicated my widgets 5 times and ran a test and you still only hear the one alert at the same volume as if you only had one widget on screen. When you have it set up, note that you can send a test alert from within Buy Me A Coffee....In your account, click on Settings (side bar), then Integrations, (top of the main area to the left... then next to "Stream Alert" click 'customize', then click on the "Send Test' button.... this will trigger a test alert through the Widget in Ecamm Live (or where ever you are using it)
@@TakeOneTech great stuff thanks Alec. Like you I’ve created my own BMC logo. Also I’ve customised the sound to - applause 👏🏼 however I find sometimes the sound comes over as a bit tiny. I’ll try it live tomorrow and see.
