      I've seen a bunch of good things with gelatin based foods, @fishkeepinganswers also recommended some food like that which I'd like to test out. How long does it last in your tank before it breaks down?

      @@SimplyAquaticCT i made mine into a bit of harder jelly (on my channel, its a short) and it start breaking down in about 30 minutes but with my plecos they finish it before it could break down but i also feed it occasionally for my shrimps.

      Ah this is awesome, I think if it breaks down in tiny bits then it's actually still pretty beneficial for baby shrimp!

      @@SimplyAquaticCT it does, it breaks down almost the same way as Hikari Algae wafers do.

    What does CT stand for? I was guessing Connecticut (a state in the US) but now I’m guessing not.
    Mark sent me. 😁

      Let me know if there is anything specific you're keen to see?
      Hopefully with time I'll be able to grow colonies like the legend Mark 😬

    Great video, I'll keep it on hand for reference. Trying to find a better method than just Repashy gel, blanched veggies, and algae wafers - I think I found a solution! 😅🎉 Loving your channel, keep up the great work

    How long the food last? Shelf life

      The first batch I made lasted a few months in an airtight container. Just make sure it's completely dry before you seal it up.

    Substitute for bee pollen?

    • @SimplyAquaticCT
      @SimplyAquaticCT  2 місяці тому

      @@andrewsmit9932 I wouldn't know, just add more Spirulina or something high in protein. Bee pollen is a pretty good protein source.
