The Minimal Design MYTH! (What Is Minimal Graphic Design?)
Вставка

- What is minimal graphic design? More importantly, what is this myth that I refer to when talking about a minimal style of graphic design? You will find out the importance of these questions and their relevant answers, all in todays video by Satori Graphics!
In my opinion, a minimal design has functionality over aesthetics, that's to say how it appears isn't as important as how it interacts with the viewer. Minimal graphic design is a system that helps the message of a design resonate and become apparent to the viewer more easily. This can be done in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, whatever program you use. The core principle of minimal design remains. Functionality. That is what minimal graphic design is, and in the video we do look at how we can make minimal design, and not the myth of what many designers assume to be minimal.

Amazing video.
Thanks for sharing it with me
Great video Satori! How long does it take you to do all the animations for one of these? Seems like it must take a ton of work
Okay, I'm hooked...! 😁
Great Tom, thats why the discovery process is important before designing brand identity
exactly bro
Im speechless.. this is an eye opener. Thank you soo much
Great to hear!
Thank you so much great video!
Great video! The topic of minimal graphic design is not commonly talked about. However, it is highly important to understand it well.
Thanks for the feedback:)
this is super helpful. 🙏🏻
Always happy to hear that
Thank you!
No problem
Thank you, and wow
Thank you! I have a question, I really struggle with minimal design cause my thinking if it’s not an icon or text or an image or anything like that then it shouldn’t be there for it to be minimal. So then could you please explain why minimalist graphic design sometimes uses things such as the motion graphic in the top left corner of the white slides in this video, or what function/etc the spinning + symbols have?
This video spoke my mind :)
Haha that's good to hear, thanks
I really love this videos. Thanks you i lerned a lot. Btw. I forget send you a mail with some question, need to do it
Thnx!
No problem 👍
Awesome Work As Always Bro! If you ever publish your own book one day I'll buy one. I can't thank you enough for all the knowledge you share.
Have an amazing day my friend.
I am writing a novel but not a graphic design related book... yet 👀
well he's created an online course for design entrepreneurs which i bought as soon as it was released !
maybe you can start with that ! tons of knowledge there to start your own design business !
Kudos
👍👍👍
good advice. I can't stand clutter.
Awesome videos
Please make more after and before design and challenges videos. I really enjoy them. You design both creatively and scientifically.
The way I see it is that when minimal graphic design has no meaning or purpose, it's just the perfect excuse for the artist to hide his/her lack of knowledge on design/software.
the irony of it is that they claim to be minimal in the beginning but the final design is all cluttered up anyway
I see it a bit differently. In my opinion every message can be delivered with a beautiful design. Its all about the visual aspect. You’re right, Software knowledge is important but at the end of the day the software is just a tool you use, bringing to life what’s inside your head. Think about Chanel and Karl Lagerfeld. Without him it wouldn’t be the brand it is to day. You as a designer are the most most important part of the design process. No software. Its just a tool that helps you but you are the key part in all of it!😀👍🏻

welcome with another inspiring content video regarding minimal design.
Happy to supply useful content :D
All Hail Satori!
I liked the presentation of the video. It is beautiful and pretty simple, How can I make videos like this?.
Hey thanks for the feedback:))
Do you have a logo design course?
Thank you so much for content sir 🙏
My life depends on you.
Thanks
Is associating minimalisme with effencie a bad idea, as the goal of minimal design is for me (i am a beginner in the process of learning) a way to showing a lot by doing very little, which is the deffinition of effencie, but is it a bad idea to associate those together
Sir, do you design illustrations?
what fonts are these???
I am looking for a designer name that is short and sweet. Do you know a place where I can look for inspiration for a short but strong name? And how did you come up with the name Satori Graphics?
You need to look at yourself and see what kind of person/designer you are. For me, I was interested in Buddhist philosophy and a peaceful approach to things. So I looked at words and meaning within ancient scripture relating to Eastern philosophy, and 'Satori' means a sudden burst of realisation or understanding.
Your brand name should be relevant to you as a person and designer.
@@SatoriGraphics thank you so much ❤️
How do you do these smooth motion graphics ?????????????????????????????????????
Mainly by hiring a team of freelancers to help lol
from Bangladesh thanks
hehe same
Sending welcomes back there 👍
Maybe you have forgotten about design challenges
Right?
Making a return next week :))
@@SatoriGraphics ofcource man thanks!
I am having problem understand what are you saying
Or the tool who works at my local
Sir, can you please help us to review our works so that we grow quickly?
Sometimes my hammer pisses me off
I think that minimum design is basically never fill some space on design, only by the sake of fill spaces, or aesthetic. Zero decorations, only meaning. Like the japanese flag.
Thinking like that, there is probably a lot of real minimalist designs out there that doesn't look "minimal" at all.
First but 22th
:D
2:01 that's a bit of over analyzing, really it just looks like a bottle of medicine
No it's a carefully planned and thought out piece of design. The designer or designers didn't turn up and say 'let's make it look like medicine' and then tell that to the client, who replied 'sure that's great, approved!" Good design is well thought out
@@SatoriGraphics maybe, but to the untrained eye it does look like a bottle of medicine, and if the designers didn't think of that that would mean they were not thinking about the customer. as my mom used to tell me when reading the stickman comics i used to draw as a kid: "if you need to explain to the viewer what's happening, your visual storytelling is lacking"
good profile pic 👍
First comment to you my man
I wanna give the video a like then you say 'design your future today' randomly and I no longer feel like it
What a shame
@@SatoriGraphics Great video and this guy is being unnecessarily petty, however I do think that the 'design your future today' tagline fits in awkwardly, I think the delivery is too rushed, it sounds like it's been edited together with different clips. That probably isn't the case, but it comes across a little strange. It's a great tagline, no need to rush through it! As it is, it's the audio equivalent of a logo where the letters are too close together. Just wanted to give that feedback, love your videos! Keep up the great work!
@@alexjclelland nicer way of putting it. It's very rushed and makes me cringe. 'and finally guys, pause, design your future today' 'and remember, pause, design..' 'and as always, pause..'
