On April 18th 2006, Mr. Wiel Rutten was appointed honorary chairman of the Royal Concert Band of Arcen (The Netherlands). At his farewell reception he said: “Saying goodbye to something dear, is part of life. But staying connected afterwards is something one can also express in music.” ‘Per Sempre Vicino’ therefore means always being a part of it.
