If you're tired of sitting in ages-long briefings and being commanded around by teenagers, I recommend finding a good Conflict server to play on! It's Reforger's main, like, this is what you're playing the game for gamemode and as long as you maneuver around some of the bad servers (Bad moderation, adding 300 different cosmetic mods for SUPER COOL TACTICOOL SKULL MASKS IN 12 DIFFERENT VARIANTS!! and that kind of thing) it can be a blast to try to make an impact in a large war with a group of randos just as pebble-brained as you and I
Maybe I'm a gambler in the making, because the reason I stick with GM mode is for those times when the GM is actually cooking some good shit and you get some genuinely good Ops going. I gotta agree on the tacticool stuff though. Its so over the top and I wish we had more mods that expanded on the cold war stuff. It also makes the lobby spend way more time at the arsenal boxes than usual.

I am playing arma series since 2002, and I can say that your videos is the true arma experience. Some People forgot that arma always has been a sandbox that gives you tools to play the game how ever you want and have fun.
This is a Squad focused community and thats been something the Squad communities been in notorious denial of for about a decade now. Most either picked up Arma briefly, couldnt grasp it and rage quit. The majority of it has never touched the series and just goes off bizarre assumptions. In PRs heyday you never met player in either game who didnt play the other. Squad seems to have turned to a more typical tourny style meta game echo chamber community. Its more like a social club than it is a game people play as a team focused tactical shooter. Arma is whatever you want it to be. People have even made platformers out of it. BI themselves have made puzzle games with it. Theres servers that run similar to Squad, nam and mog servers for instance are very similar but with a bit more strategic and tactical depth. Basically Squad without the tourny style meta focus. Other servers are "super serial milsim" ops. They can be fun if youre in the right mood. Others are just complete fuck around fests. Like KOTH for instance. Its a COD style game mode. So many genres are just Arma spinoffs, Squad style BF milsim hybrids, extraction shooters, PUBG, hardcore survivals, even games like This Land is My Land are just liberation spinoffs. Right now the Squad is starting to show tis age and the communities migrating. Bi making game modes like Conflict that rival Squad backed by a modding community that can provide any era from WW2 to futuristic, even HALO/Star Wars mods is just something OWI cant compete with and it seems the Squad community is starting to split. The fanboy elitist echo chamber types are approaching meltdown mode, the more normal side of the community is simply migrating to the clearly better choice. OWI got too greedy in my opinion. Instead of going the PR route of including all these eras they split them into separate titles. As Reforger continues its much more rapid development it will suck a huge portion from Squad. When Arma 4 releases its basically OWIs death sentence.

I got myself this game a while ago, and I’ve learned how to play decently. If you need tips on the basics of the map and how to use your inventory or vehicles, there are handy tutorials on the main menu that will take you through first aid, gunplay and driving. As for thing to do, I personally like sitting around and building shit at bases, or running around as a Medic and failing to do my job.

0:54 I 100% completely disagree. It’s the LEAST serious MOST serious milsim! 1:50 Really bad timing - this last major update has some serious performance issues. Previously it was fine. BI will fix it….eventually
What follows is my opinion, I can only speak for myself and not others: As someone who has played Arma for 23 years (we just had our 23rd gaming anniversary), forget all the negative comments about how you 'should' play or what you 'should' have done. You played the game exactly how I estimate 90% of people first played and experienced ARMA - run around with a mate/s like chooks with your heads cut off and having a laugh. It was fun to be honest, but understand it can be a task just to play the game. I watched that video and yes, most of your criticism was actually correct. For example I have over 250gb of mods installed because I want to play on different servers. And yes, your comments about the mod requirements is true, there is no way of sugar coating it; the game requires mods. Without mods the game remains a blank canvas that is nothing more then a two decade old simulation, that accurately maps how a chronic asthmatic sufferer would go when they are running across bland and boring countryside whilst sometimes being shot at and killed by a person that they never saw by a gunshot they never heard. And it is actually good at depicting pain and suffering mixed with boredom and bullets. But the game has two things going for it, that both help and hinder the game's reputation. The following are the good things, after which I will explain why they are also bad; 1. A dev team who listens to the community of modders, release powerful tools to help those modders do what they do by making it easy for them to modify the game anyway they see fit. If that wasn't good enough the devs have made the tools themselves moddable. They will also take the time to help some people with certain technical problems or issues (modding in particular). 1. The community - I can jump onto any server and so long as I have a microphone, I can ask for help or simply say I am new and I will be helped. As I said I play on many different servers with many different game modes and rules, almost all of the people playing on those servers will not only help new players, but they also want to help new players. Some servers make it a rule that anyone who has experience on their server must help new members. Then there's the community of modders, I started out modding BF2, but I have also modded ARMA (extensively, for my son and I). I can jump onto a modding forum, ask for help with certain things, then get the help required sometimes even from devs. They want to help. Don't ask me why, they just do. Bohemia owe a lot to modders, as it is because of modders the game ARMA 3 for example, is still going after a decade. Now the bad; The dev team will often appear as though they aren't doing anything. They still have bugs in ARMA 3 that were present on launch day (get killed and shot out of your vehicle whilst it is on top of you, then have someone jump into the vehicle - the physics kicks in and you get kicked into the outer atmosphere). But they do work tirelessly behind the scenes, helping modders or producing tools to help modders etc., sometimes it will seem they set their sights too big or on too many different projects. Besides all that and possibly due to how old the game is, ARMA for example is a mess behind the scenes, different mods will conflict with other mods and you never know sometimes which mods are not playing nicely with each other. Then there's the mods themselves. Most people would not have a clue what each one of the 50 mods that are required to play on a particular server, can and does do. Then you will get mods that require extra key binds (the movement and climbing mod comes to mind), the control scheme for ARMA 3 is a bloody mess at times. Just take a look at the key binds menu when 60 mods are loaded and think about how you could talk a new player through setting it up. Depending on the mod, it may actively add tedious tasks and it is all depends on what the server owner wants. So yes; it is extremely frustrating and possibly very hard for new players to get into it. If that is your case, then the best thing you can do is ask. But even then some servers will have strict rules regarding even talking in local (do not play on these servers if you are new). Finally the community - just look at your previous video for proof, some people can be very toxic to new players. The new game Reforger may even have a toxicity program with pc and console players. The community is both extremely toxic and territorial for some unknown reason, yet at the same time they can be very helpful and easy to get on with. It is a true paradox. It was like that when ARMA 3 came out, I have no idea why but it is harmful to new players. I fully understand why this would put off new players, my advise; stick it out, the trolls will leave and or become more accepting. Most people I play with love new players, because it keeps the game they like playing alive. TL;DR - a good game that deserves praise and criticism and a franchise that has been built around the philosophy of; play the game the way you want to play it. If you got this far, thank you for reading. Thanks for video, cheers and have a good one.
One more thing, to any new players out there; when someone says that a new player should not play on modded servers, please ignore them. They are just being 'game snobs' and or being oddly territorial. Most veteran players will both hate and love new players, without new players they would not have a game to play. If they don't want you playing on their server, then that is their loss, because most server owners that think like that end up playing with themselves. And when they need to close down their server due to lack of players, then that is on them. It is your game, you paid for it, so find a server that you like with players who aren't like that.
Most milsims have private servers where they do take it serious about the ops. Unlike the pub server. Everyone doesn't listen, and team kills in the spawn. But that's in just about every server.
slorgs you should try modded conflict, i know there is no queue system and its a pain in the ass to get into, but it can have some pretty funny moments considering most servers are either 50v50 or 64v64
to be honest i only play conflict in reforger, i do the ops with friends in servers back in arma 3, reforger is my battlefield, 3 is my spec-ops: the line
Ngl the not seriousness makes this game much better I remember back in the day hopping in an Arma 2 server and people being ultra tryhard and official and stuff and then the last Reforger game I played was me and a bunch of randoms basically rolling up on bases and mowing all the enemies down and moving on to the next one. It was (semi)organized chaos and it was great
If you're tired of sitting in ages-long briefings and being commanded around by teenagers, I recommend finding a good Conflict server to play on! 😂first time seeing your channel and I love it. Great content man.
Cheers man
If I were an animal I’d be a slorGM, it’s a special slorgs offspring that plays Arma Reforger Game Master mode on privately hosted game sessions and has the chance to enjoy the game proper. I think you could be inspired by this animal 😅
This is truly an gaming experience
these reforger videos are fucking amazing i need more
How many beers would you drink 😊? Glad you somewhat enjoyed our server
BigBigBigJeff with a impressive amount of teamkills!

Glad you could join us in Whiskey One lads.
This is hilarious. The teamkil LMAO 13:35
I haven’t tried the official servers yet. The modded ones have been the most fun for me.
the upgrade from the Iphone 14 to the Iphone 15 made me laugh XD Perfect example
Arma Reforger is the Arma we needed
man i was on flus pve server the past few days too lol wonder if im here somewhere
you've made me re-download Reforger!
My last two play on conflict smaller island and normal one was actually good and not buggy! Didn’t got expulsed from server wich is why i stop playing the game at launch 🚀 its better than it was for sure! Heli are so hard to control though
TBH, the new kit menu looks a lot better than the older one. I know the difference isn't crazy, but it honestly seems a lot nicer to look at. It's less straining. I played reforger recently and did not like the inventory screen.
I am glad you've done all this for me, so that i wouldn't have to buy this for myself.. only to figure out nothing really has changed lol.
Game engine has changed. Now every cpu core is used. and u have 100+ fps in the same scenario where arma3 have 20fps )
The modded conflict servers are elite
@@blackburn1489 i will wait until arma 4 arrives
@@jaybeeonyt if only they didn't crash so much, it has been especially bad today
@@blackburn1489 i love the upgrade to the new engine and everything that comes with it, but i am talking about the classic arma experience here. I'll be waiting for Arma 4.
Perhaps some sort of fennec-fox. Are there arctic ones?
Please play more reforger with Jeff, its too funny
I keep looking at this game trying to figure out what I can do here that I can't do in Arma3.
Telling someone to play official servers is the worst advice a Arma player can give.
I know it's your opinion, but I started with official servers because I wanted to have the vanilla experience. I don't have the time and I don't know where to begin and I'm pretty happy with official servers
Can you play with an Xbox controller? I tried squad but it's hard to play it with it
The Darkgru servers are fun, just conflict with some nice weapons and drip
Trying to get into Nam servers are a pain dude! Always full but when I get in helicopters start going down baby! I was born in the wrong country during the wrong time because WOW am I a good Viet cong. Even nailed one of our own sky dragons by accident because they told me it was enemy during the night. Absolutely nailed the poor bastard but watching it go down like a rock had to be the funniest thing
hey guys! i was actually in this vid here (i was MTRedPhantom)! wanna shout out to the main man for makin this AMAZING video! great job brother. ❤
0:54 I 100% completely disagree. It’s the LEAST serious MOST serious milsim!
1:50 Really bad timing - this last major update has some serious performance issues. Previously it was fine. BI will fix it….eventually

What PC you running this on I have a 4050 laptop that runs it better than that with mods and 128 players
First 10 seconds sold me
1:40 like GRAY ZONE game
What follows is my opinion, I can only speak for myself and not others:
As someone who has played Arma for 23 years (we just had our 23rd gaming anniversary), forget all the negative comments about how you 'should' play or what you 'should' have done.
But the game has two things going for it, that both help and hinder the game's reputation. The following are the good things, after which I will explain why they are also bad;
Now the bad;
The dev team will often appear as though they aren't doing anything.
Fuckin penguin 🐧
Y’all made my day with this one 😂
You should try conflict servers like insurgency or wcs servers, darkgru servers etc just make sure the servers are good
Raggiana bird-of-paradise
Most milsims have private servers where they do take it serious about the ops. Unlike the pub server. Everyone doesn't listen, and team kills in the spawn. But that's in just about every server.
Not in tfw
Never played OFP, mr Bondovitch?
guys have rifles with deadly ammo, granades and granadelaunchers but please dont put your knifes on your rifles before you enter combat..........
keeping it funky keeping it fresh!
slorgs you should try modded conflict, i know there is no queue system and its a pain in the ass to get into, but it can have some pretty funny moments considering most servers are either 50v50 or 64v64
I've never seen 16 or 77 ping before in my life on Arma Reforger. I sit at a casual 370ping
Id be a Grizzly Bear cuz maybe then women will want to be around me
haven't laughed at a vid so hard in a while W video

to be honest i only play conflict in reforger, i do the ops with friends in servers back in arma 3, reforger is my battlefield, 3 is my spec-ops: the line
Absolutely love these.
you should play WCS servers they will give you the best times there iv had a blast there and its now has the most servers at the top
Why is Chaplain Kimi a combatant? That's a violation of the Geneva Convention.
dear slorgs i would be a shart cow...
Ngl the not seriousness makes this game much better
I remember back in the day hopping in an Arma 2 server and people being ultra tryhard and official and stuff and then the last Reforger game I played was me and a bunch of randoms basically rolling up on bases and mowing all the enemies down and moving on to the next one. It was (semi)organized chaos and it was great
