This is the first time where I see the doctor actually warm up the neck before performing the Y-strap 😅
This is the best technique! Thanks for watching.
Same here. Most guys just yank
Some tests are necessary before the session, people know how to proceed after taking a look at these tests.
Yup most all chiropractors pressed for time and don’t do anything correctly, they adjust all spine / neck no warm up or stretching , not realizing they’re overstretching ligaments, muscles, nerves , etc .
Great observations. Thanks for the insightful input.

@Arctic_Blubber exactly! Thanks for understanding!
He was compressed. You can see his neck stretch out. Wow

Actually the rack has been brought back for years to help with ruptured disks
@@jeffreythompson5692 and instead, can rupture an artery or leave you permanently disabled. No real therapist will ever yank someone's head off this way. Gentle pulling yes, but yanking - no way.
I want my neck pulled like this !!☺️
Please come see us. We would love to help you.
You sound like me if I was trying to fake my way through describing the science behind what I was doing.
Thanks for watching. We appreciate it.
💀
This technique is so enjoyable mate, try it.
When you decompress each intervertebral disc with traction, they release temporarily from their fixed positions in the Y-axis and realign with the X-axis. It really depends on the severity of arthritis in the disc at that particular level.
Maximize the disc space with a HEALTHY intervertebral disc for optimum spinal health 🙏
However, as for me, I have two fusions (one in my neck and one in my lumbar) and I cannot get any traction. I am locked into a debilitating posture that can't be corrected. One day soon though that will change! New medicine is here and soon folks will be getting the help they need!!!
We really hope you get well my friend. Let us know if we can help you.

We learned a lot from this video. Most of what learned had nothing to do with spinal decompression 😅 mucho grande relatable.
Thanks for the great feedback! We appreciate it!
My old chiro never Y-Strapped me, but he would have the table at a mid level decline, cup under my head, and do close to the same.
It hurt a lot at first, but after 3 seconds or so, I would feel amazing. It was by far my favorite
This is a very similar technique, but instead of using the y-strap, your doctor used his hands. It’s also very effective and feels great.
@@JTP1999 how long does it last?

From my experience it's always best to go assisted stretch, massage then adjustments in that order. The difference is amazing. Just devote 2-3 hours to it. Follow it up with infrared sauna.
That’s great advice! We are big fans of the infrared saunas.
Meanwhile below the neck Carlos sharted simultaneously as the chiropractor yanked the hardest
LOL! Thanks for watching!
Thats a t-strap and seems much more natural of a tool for using on the neck than the y-strap! Chiropractic is evolving!
Yes, it is the second generation Y strap. Thank you for watching.
Love the t-shirt 👕
We love it too! 🤗
Is this a one and done thing or you have to do it regularly?
This is an excellent question. This is a form of manual traction, which works to distract the spinal joints, called the uncinate processes also known as the unco-vertebral joints. The procedure can have both short term and long term effects depending on the patient. We are also prescribing home-care exercises for strengthening and postural correction. The frequency depends on the patient outcomes. Thanks again for the great question.
I love how chiropractors have managed to convince people that having a “compressed spine” is a thing and that it can be sorted by yanking your head up 😂
We have lots of medical doctors and orthopedic doctors as patients. Check out this video!
Thanks for watching our channel. We appreciate it.
ua-cam.com/video/8aJj9YkBtZc/v-deo.html
This is an effective therapy for spinal decompression. See below from the Mayo Clinic.
How Does Cervical Traction Work?
There are two types of cervical traction:
Manual cervical traction: Your healthcare provider will hold your head in their hands and lightly pull it away from your body. They’ll usually pull with your neck in different positions or different amounts of bend.
Mechanical cervical traction: You’ll lie down and your healthcare provider will put your head and neck in a cervical traction device. There are a few types of devices they might use, but all of them have a mechanism to apply gentle, even pulling on your head to create space in your neck. Mechanical cervical traction can usually last longer than manual cervical traction because the device doesn’t require any physical exertion from your healthcare provider.
What are the advantages of cervical traction?
Cervical traction is easy to perform, and - if it works for you - can deliver quick symptom relief. People who benefit from cervical traction often have an instant improvement in their neck pain after a few treatments. Some of the most common benefits include:
Reduced pain.
Reduced stiffness and tension in your neck muscles.
More flexibility in the muscles along your cervical spine.
Some studies have found that in addition to stretches and other physical therapy exercises, cervical traction can improve your range of motion (how far you can move your neck).
I'll tell you what. Sometimes I wake up and I'm all tense in the neck or something and it's like that all day, can go for weeks even, but get some alcohol in me and have me take a hot shower, all I got to do after that is legit turn my head to look at something that catches my attention suddenly and it cracks so loudly, and then I'm more much more maneuverable and I feel great. This stuff is real.
@@JohnSmith-ex9mv and it’s never happened again since?
@@him050 No, it's a relatively common occurrence. A lot of times I'll lie on my back at some point in the week and move my head left and right and it'll just go loudly. No real crazy style of manipulation, just left and right with hands. The stuff in the video is where the guy is so stressed regularly and so much time has passed that he needs a guy like that to actually make it pop.
What brand is that Y Strap? Looks very well made!
