I think even though he’s rich and successful, he has the mindset of a college kid still since he’s been by himself doing crazy stuff since then. @@fuziontonygaming that's what I thought until Patrick says that it's probably nothing dark or misterious and I was probably a fallout left me with a dilemma
Travis just seems to be a guy who was somewhat talented and super lucky. He was lucky to have a bunch of friends that were more than happy to help him gain success, he was lucky to have parents that believed his lies about staying in school, and he was lucky about the fans that he gained through his music. But the sad part is that he is very ungrateful for his past and is highly narcissistic. I'm actually a big fan of his music because you could hear production value and he has a nice way of using autotune.
It's not a hard leap to believe the stories about Travis, people have been consistent with the fact he's used and stolen from them and his actions against his parents prove that as well. If you'd steal money from your own blood, it's not a huge leap in logic to assume he'd steal beats, and use people for connections. I've been following Travis's story for a while and I it's not hard to tell he's kinda a dick to people he feels aren't useful to him.
Interesting too that in most photos he's giving the finger - to who? The fans or the photographer? You and me? Save the finger for people who piss you off.
i think that just proves chess is a really cool guy, & it doesn't prove any innocence on travis' part. chess misses his friendship w travis & doesn't wanna focus on any of the bad. which is ok, but like majority of the others in travis life had negative stuff to say, which kinda leads us to believe travis really did them wrong / left them for his own profit
In my opinion Travis stealing from his parents and eating the sour cream with Kanye says everything I need to know. He’s willing to do whatever it takes to get what he wants. The other stuff I’ll take with a grain of salt but it doesn’t sound far fetched AT ALL
i mean isnt that what the music industry is? its a rough place and everyone's favourite artist has done some shady stuff and bent the rules to get things their way
@@whereisaimaan No, it wasn't that rough. It just became rough once the money flows even bigger and exposure that much more important with the internet.
The way he treated his parents shows the selfish side of him, literally living off of every one, lying the whole way, even if you just take his words, you can see thats what happened, the only way you get to do that for that long is by making big promises. Than everyone around got dropped LOL never liked him, im biased af. so idk.
@Michael Silungwe but what if it didn't work out? what if he did all that, for nothing. Because some of it wasn't just promises, it was straight up stealing and using your own family. There has to be some sort of line when it comes to it. Other wise you get a lot of people doing the same, and not all of them will make it. dudes just a bad example imo.
ok but ever heard litteraly almost everyone thats famous say this "To be someone, you have to be fking selfish man, if your that hungry for it you gotta be selfish" Like man your judging the guy off how he treated his parents, but sometimes parents can be your biggest ever setback cuz YOUR goals, dont allign with their goals, and so on, that leads to (personal experience) parents being so negative and down about your goals cuz "they dont sound realistic" cuz nobody else in the family did it, that type of energy and vibe can mentally, emotionally and even physically kill you, so i understand exactly why he treated everyone like he did
Travis seems like the kind of guy to lie about who he's working with. It worked out for him obviously but there's a lot of people in the game like that. People who know how to network and also stretch any small connection they might have just enough to get to the next wrung on the ladder.
@@fuziontonygaming his songs aren’t about the writing though, it’s the production value & feel. The words are just an extension of the melody. A lot of rappers like that now (like playboi carti)

I used to work with a guy who went to high school with Travis (since he was originally from Houston as well) and he told me that he remembers Travis being a rather quiet kid who kept to himself. Just kinda funny to picture how he remembers seeing someone who would become an absolutely MASSIVE artist in hip hop
I believe Travis Scott did what he felt he had to do in order to be on top...he's gotta remember, the same people you step on going up, are the same people you cross on your way back down..
At one point in time I wanted to go into Public Relations. One thing I know about PR is that if you want a story to die - don't talk about it. Always attempt to distract the audience with something else, keep pulling attention away from whatever thing you want to hide. Since Scott was (still is) in close relations with people high up in the industry I would imagine that he has had tons of PR coaching. You don't even have to have done anything bad to have something to hide, you would just want to remain mysterious or keep your private life private. Perhaps he is ashamed of something he has done in his past. Or perhaps he has a few skeletons in the closet. We won't ever know for sure with who he has as a baby mama. The Kardashian/Jenners are PR masters, truly works of art in that dept. His secrets will stay under lock and key.
Kilhoffer is just a open dude from what I can tell. I saw him talk at a convention a few years back and he really believes in being open and honest and do ur best work as often as possible as a means to get ur name out there
Patrick on a roll. Love these mini documentary videos for being informative and a nice length so it's not over so fast. Honestly I'd love to see these kind of videos 30 minutes or longer though I know that would take more work and perhaps the algorithm may not favor it as much as something more compact. Still I think it would be awesome if you found one topic you really were so passionate about you could make a feature length documentary around an hour on it. One of my favorite videos on your channel is the curious case of Kid Laroi for how thoroughly the investigation was done and how it asked questions without being overly assumptive.
Crazy how Travis looked up to Kanye his whole life and got to the point they were dating and had kids with sisters… Travis was so obsessed he basically became family with Kanye that’s crazy
Don't you think it's kinda weird Trav went from a kid that skipped school to make beats who was obsessed with Kanye to having kids with Kanye's sister-in-law? That's insane 😳
Not weird but seems to have been strategic. After watching this video I am now pretty sure their relationship was strategically planned on his part, and a smart one at that! Smh
When someone doesn’t have a straight story, means exactly that. Nothing about him says he’s a friendly dude who just had fall outs. He’s always looked like a user to me. Wtv works for him.
As someone who's been a Travis Scott since 2012, when he started buzzing in NYC before he really popped off I can honestly say Travis is a compulsive liar and it has benefited him in so many ways. There are way too many stories about the people who let him sleep on their couches to corresponding stories of Travis Scott stealing their hard drives and songs passing it off as him. For example, Travis stole the Sin City beat and song from Tommy Brown and Victoria Monét (who is most noticeably known for being Ariana Grande's go to co-writers). He lied about Mike Dean being the one who helped in get in good graces with Ye meanwhile it was Anthony Kilhoffer. Kilhoffer managed if and set him up with his tour manager and did all the shows with him before Mike Dean got into the picture. Even if you go back to his relationship with Ashton Travis. Everyone around him in his circle popped off heavy before Travis did. Ashton Travis was signed to a record label I won't disclose because he hates that part of his career lol but in a recent interview he had he hinting about the close ones around him moving weird and you could hint that he was talking about Travis without putting a name to the stories. Honestly, all the holes in Travis' stories are the MAIN reasons in which he's a superstar today.
@@ozul-xxx he's done a good job of covering it up and no one cares enough to really go digging. People still think Travis is some amazing producer when he stole the beats that got him recognition. Thats some expert marketing ngl
And that is probably the main reason he doesn’t speak about anything. Either doesn’t want the truth to come out or doesn’t wanna try and keep track of all the lies he’s told.
He’s smart for that tho and eventually Travis became a top artist he took the “by any means necessary” route. I don’t blame him even tho it’s dirty hella rappers like Carti did similar shit

yea I didn't mention DJ premier because 1. I couldn't find much information about it other than that fact. 2. I genuinely don't think his dad/DJ premiere helped him THAT much. If they did the story is way less interesting too. Like Travis just got put on by his dad, thats a boring story and is the case for a lot of other artists
I learned that Travis keeps his ball rolling with mystery if he told all his secrets and stories he would not be as popular, he sacrificed a friend ship but he always had the mentality of making it and he eventually did
On a side note, I bet you Travis Scott parents would have helped with his career if he was honest. His mom bought him home a laptop to help him produce better beats. They were obvi somewhat aware of it.

I live in Dallas TX and I was in college around the time Travis was moving all around TX doing shows. I’m glad you brought up Illroots and other blogs. Around this time the blog era was in its prime and had a huge impact on him going from local rapper/producer to a up and coming superstar. Austin TX had a annual show at a house called The Illmore. Normally around the time of SXSW. It was the blog Illroots and the Texas based concert promoters Score more working together to put on the best rap shows. This is from an article from 2013. Score more to this day is the same promoters Travis works with for any shows in Texas. Astro world tragedy included. “ScoreMore Shows and Illroots put on this week long party which went on from Wednesday to Saturday. Artists and producers such as Kendrick Lamar, Asher Roth, Chuck Inglish, Travis Scott, Trae The Truth, Waka Flocka, Dorrough, A$AP Ferg, Kid Cudi, and more showed up to kick in the craziest of atmospheres.” But anyways, it was nice thinking about that era of rap music. Travis went from tweeting wiz, big Sean ect. to playing the most lit house parties with them years later. Great video like always Patrick.
Crazy to hear about it from somebody that was on the ground. You’re right about the blogs back then; illroots, 2dbz, gmad. I’m from Australia and that’s actually how I came to find out about Travis and plenty of others. I remember the Weeknd dropping house of balloons around the same time too.
@@juuglord8509 yeah dude. The blogs started to get sued for copyright issues and most were taken down and had a hard time fully recovering. And at the same time apps like Instagram were blowing up. I was able to see The Weekend play a sold out show at House Of Blues in Dallas around that time. Now it’s a joke to even think the weekend could play such a small venue.

Loved the video bro and this docu style content is addicting! Anyways, to add to the Travis mystery. At my last job Travis Scott used to come in frequently for a period right before quarantine lockdown. I was there for 4/6 of his appearances and it was my job to make sure he had everything he needed for whatever mood he was in. To make a long story short, this dude is 2 different people in one body. I think it's because of the amount of shit he puts in his system that he honestly can't remember things that he does. Because when this man "rages" he goes all out but he's careful about what he mixes. Liquor/pills/weed/etc. Anyways, back to the 2 sides of Travis Scott. 1 side is this really chill and friendly guy who acknowledges everyone in the room and makes you feel like y'all go way back. He's extremely friendly and holds good conversation. Then there is other side of him, this side is when he "rages". Travis is a completely different person who is loud, wild, moves around the room as if everyone is in his way but isn't rude to them. He moves with purpose but its almost random and all over the place and when talks to you it's like he sleepwalking. Strange dude but I'm still a fan despite it all and he's left me with stories that I always love to tell.

I have a little insight on the NYC era portion of Travis’ “come up” I went to FIT with Travis’ friends J will and J rich when Travis came to NYC I was one of the first people that had moved out of the dorms and got an apartment so he would crash at my crib a lot when he was making beats for Cruel Summer/ Yeezus production. Long story short he was a verrrrry shady and uncool dude. Very very very self centered I have countless stories that’s why the Astroworld tragedy didn’t really surprise me at all I knew something karma wise would really eventually catch up with him.
Also as for the TI section, yes TI was the first to scoop Travis and put him on Grand Hustle I believe that’s the label that Owl Pharoah dropped on? Don’t remember exactly but he was standing in my apartment when he got the call from TI after TI had caught wind that he had been commissioned by G.O.O.D music to produce for Cruel Summer behind TI’s back and TI was just going full ATL on him on speaker phone while Travis just had himself muted laughing his ass off. The dude really never cared about anyone or anything but himself it was so bad lol…..but I guess you don’t have to be a good person to become a worldwide sensation 🤷🏻♂️
I can also confirm that Tony Laptop story. Travis was INSEPARABLE from that thing for a little while he was doing Yeezus tweaking on it one night he had left it at my apartment and he said I had to bring it to work that day where he would pick it up or Kanye would “kill him” so I do remember the importance of that particular laptop

I went to 4 different high schools growing up in the houston area. my Senior year I was in government class with him at lawrence e. elkins high school. In the yearbook he was most likely to become famous. This was definitely one of the nicer areas in houston. He probably lived like 5 minutes away from the most expensive (at the time) suburbs in houston/missouri city. He was definitely one of the most popular kids in that school. He used to freestyle all the time at lunch and in class. The teacher loved him and pretty much let him do what he wanted. I didnt know much about his family but i know that all of the kids he hung out with were the well off kids. One of the dads of those kids owned a bmw dealership, the other lived in the richest suburb (sienna plantations). I didnt know or hang out with any of these kids save 1 or 2 i worked with at the supermarket in the area. I cant say (because I didnt know him personally) that he was a shitty person or anything. To me it just seemed like he had everything going for him and really loved the music. Even back then I could tell he clearly had the goal of making it in the music business in his head at all times. Idk about his character but he was definitely driven. And with the few connections in the high school that I did know he had, it wouldn't surprise me if he was already well connected to the industry. Side note: Beyonce's old studio was also in missouri city. At that time it was just an abandoned building that nobody had bought and was collecting dust. The kids from the schools would break into the studio and drink/smoke/party, place was trashed. After watching this I really do wonder if he was just super connected or if through his own networking (mind you he was really popular in school, went to college etc) and understanding of the role of social media that catapulted him. In any case this whole things crazy to me lmao. I wouldn't want fame for this very reason that you have people making entire essays on it focusing in on minute details etc. It is probably stressful af.

Artists and producers such as Kendrick Lamar, Asher Roth, Chuck Inglish, Travis Scott, Trae The Truth, Waka Flocka, Dorrough, A$AP Ferg, Kid Cudi, and more showed up to kick in the craziest of atmospheres.”

A lot of foolish people just believe everything the media tells them but the same can be said for the fools that believe every conspiracy theory they hear. The truth is in the middle.
I really like how you put this video together.
Whatever it is he is a humble man if you watch his Netflix documentary 'Look mom i can fly'
Hopefully dude is good and understands morals, ethics can't be bought those things are what help you sleep at night
Pure souls.
Keep up with the videos Patrick I’m loving the channel just finding out about you🔥
Bro Patrick Cc been on the grind lately, this was so fire 🔥
The time and dedication you put into these videos is amazing
He had the drive and ambition, probably just took split second chances, multiple times, and it amounted to who he is today. As soon as I heard rodeo I've been listening to him. Also it's probably just rap that is like this. Look at meshuggah and rammstein. Bands that stuck with each other since day one.
Love the vids bro, keep up the great content.👍
love these typa vids bruh they mad entertaining 🔥
All this proves is you gotta do what you gotta do to make it. I like how no one here in the comments mentions the self belief this guy had. There’s a always a way and it’s a cruel world. Jacques parents are more than proud of their son at this point in time
yeah they love how he uses Kylie Jenner and how he killed so many ppl during that astro world concert for ritual purposes. also that he discarded all of his friends like a narcissist

I love this video because it's unbiased, when you see videos like this they are either riding Trav or being too harsh on Trav
People should be harsh on him. He’s a trash person
Fr
@@yanerd5626 rather an unbiased video tbh.
bro I noticed that u had the EP cover for Only Yann's Cloud thing and I was surprised because he's so underground but I really like that guy
Thank you UA-cam for recommending this😭 I'm a rapper and I've been doing these moves on a daily. I thought it was weird but seeing this reminds me to keep pushing on. Thank you♥️🙏🏾
but if people helped you and pushed you up don't forget about them like travis here, that's extremely shitty
I wanted to start producing and drop multiple projects that I have saved but after this I feel like I’m way too late 😤
