  • Dovecot presented a landmark exhibition exploring the life and work of May Morris earlier this year. May was the youngest daughter of William Morris and one of the most significant artists of the British Arts and Crafts movement.
    At the age 23, May Morris took charge of the Morris & Co. embroidery department and was responsible for creating some of the company’s most iconic textiles and wallpaper designs. Find out more with Dovecot Director, Celia Joicey.

    Is there any evidence that May Morris' relationship with Mary Lobb was not romantic in nature?
