The time has finally come for PART 2 of our Stranger Things 4 Vol. 2 Ep. 9 REACTION "The Piggyback" Season 4 FINALE with our family!
This episode was such an emotional rollercoaster and that is even such an understatement. We laughed and cried, and the moments were all so intense! In this episode, we get the final showdown between Eleven and Vecna / Henry Creel / One and Max calls out Vecna and lays the bait for Nancy, Steve, and Robin's trap. We also get Eddie playing the guitar in the Upside Down which was EPIC alongside Dustin, and Mike, Will, Jonathan and Argyle helping Eleven reach Max as "The Piggyback." Eleven Vs. Vecna was so cool and tragic, and SPOILERS the death of Max and Eddie is a massive emotional blow and we're so devastated. It's incredible how the Upside down is now officially coming to Hawkins, and even though Hopper reunited with Eleven, we're so stressed out about the state of things during the Stranger Things 4 ending and we can't wait until season 5!!

Fr, I mean they were both really sad. I am just way more connected to max than Eddie She's been my favorite charecter sense s2 so to me maxes seath was way more sad than Eddie's. But probs to caleb,millie,gaten, Joseph and of course the star sadie herself, they are all amazing actors. I mean the whole cast is.

The Upside Down and The Mind Flayer always existed but it didn’t have its shape till Henry shaped it. I feel like the Demogorgon was more or less searching for Eleven and everyone it killed and it took was because they were simply in its way but it took them as but each kill was strengthening Vecna

i don’t think so. there were demogorgons before one shaped the upside down, i still believe that the demogorgon of the first season was just mindlessly capturing stuff.

I want to know what the Shadow's purpose in that place was prior to Henry forming a psychic link with it and gave it shape.

Before 001 became Vecna, he had already imagined a world where he ruled and originally wanted El to be with him, but since El rejected him and opened the upside-down, he got his wish. When he was in the upside-down and explored the world there, it was barren but full of hive-minded entities that he could shape and form to his likeness, especially the Mind Flyer. When El opened the gate a second time when Will Byer went missing, Vecna was able to capture Hawkins setting like a snapshot, and that is why Nancy has yet to have her collection of weapons.

Yeah but I believe that vecna has Max consciousness thats why when eleven tried to go into her mind she couldnt find her cause shes with vecna. BUT because her body is alive I believe that when eleven kills vecna Max's consciousness will be realised back in her body, and she will be fine 🤓👍...at least thats what I'm hoping for haha
Sincerely?! They made the girl suffer HORROR! Before she even went to Hawkings she had a sad and turbulent life, it only got worse and she lost everything, her brother, her mother drowned in debt and just drinking and working herself to death, her stepfather abandoned her just like her real father! She has trauma, pain, guilt, anxiety, depression and still left all broken, blind and in a coma with no memories! If it was to give her more weight, it would be better to have put an end to it once and let her rest, now they kept her "alive" to later claim death again?! UNACCEPTABLE (if you gave hope, you need to let her live YES)

I think what happened is Eleven saved her and kept her alive, but since she still "died" briefly then that means Vecna still has her soul or something.
Since Brenner said that those 001 kills, he consumes. So that means in order to revive Max, they likely have to kill off Vecna for good.

Cried all over again when watching this video. I still can’t get over what they did to Max and Eddie. I hope Max will return. She is for sure trapped in Vecnas mind. Imagine if she could take control of it in season 5 and that way destroy the mindflayer and the uspidedown

I agree with you i think max is trapped inside vecna/henry/one (became one with him) because she died and the gate got opened (which mean vecna got her) before eleven brought her body back to life and thats why eleven couldnt find her inside her mind, and the duffer's brother said that her comma gonna have a major effect on S5 which i think because she is still alive (comma) and can do somethin to vecna/henry/one.
But i think max gonna die eventually (its my opinion it could be wrong) because her body couldnt take it just like what the doctor said, it possibly after they kill vecna/henry/one she's also gonna die

I was crying in the Season Finale when Max died with her emotional scene with Lucas's and Elevens reactions and the Eddie died and Dustin had to tell his uncle. It was so Heartbreaking
When ginger had snapped I was shooting tears like "oh no, she is dead". And let's be honest, Max is dead or worse.

@@sewdie6998 There could be an open happy ending, maybe something similar to Life is Strange 1 - there could be a time travel to the moment of the very beginning of the show, everyone is alive but nothing happened yet and will not happen because Eleven will somehow make a new timeline. Just imagining what could be the end.
@@sewdie6998 slight paralysis is a maybe, she might need some training for movement¿(I forgot what it's called) but she'll be forever blind. Her eyes are beyond repair, but her nerves for her limbs are kinda bent, so that's why she can't feel at the time.

@@Zoidd_Bergg the reacting is not an issue. One guy was trying to explain to his friend what was going on. One person missed what happened on the screen so another person was trying to catch them up. Reaction means an emotional reaction to what’s happening on the screen, not explaining the show to your friends. That’s called commentary

Commentating as you react, literally watch any channel that reacts to movies and series', they all do it, that's the literal point of them, commentating on what you see and also your thoughts on it. Not anyone's fault that you don't get that, if you don't like it, simply just don't watch, it's that easy.

People are not explaining the plot to friends not watching because they are on their phone or not watching the screen. 90 percent of them kept their eyes glued to the screen and are reacting to what they are seeing, not explain things to their friends sitting right next to them. mind flayer would be a separate entity but he shaped it and controlled it as a way to extend his consciousness into it and through its hive mind properties connect with the other creatures of the upside down.

Even creepier..that was Jamie’s real voiceover for Vecna, and Eddie was really playing along on guitar.. I wonder if there’s another dimension Elle could contact for another entity to help her. And still, why was Will kidnapped in seas one? Why the slug in his lung? Also, did Vecna kidnap him? Demogorgons never demonstrated either patience or telekinesis, remember how the door chain was lifted off? And why was a gate not necessary to kidnap the original victims?

My best guess here is that he was sending these "minions" out to search for El. However, in the cases the minions would loose contact with the other plain (when the gates get closed), thjey default to a preditory behavior and wreck havic. Unless he had other agendas with those creatures and they were just attempts at gaining a foothold in the world. Something else I am considering is that prior to Season 4, Vecna either was not strong enough or was not sure enough he could influence people outside of his dimension. Will might have just been a test. He worked in the lab he grew up in after all. So for him to rely on what he may have learned during that time working in the lab, he probably set the whole thing up to determin how he could invade peoples minds and use their deaths to open portals to his world.

Eddie delaying the bats saved all 3 at the Creel house because if he didn't distract the bats, they would've immediately flown back to the Creel house most likely, but Eddie going out and distracting them saved everyone. If Eddie comes back, I hope they do it right, because if he "somehow returns", it'll have the chance of ruining his sacrifice, just like how Palpatine "somehow returning" in ep9 would appear to ruin Anakin's sacrifice in ep6 of Star Wars. Flashbacks with Eddie or possibly his own spinoff/side show would be best. If they somehow make Eddie understandable and making sense, I would love it. I can't give up on Eddie. 😭😭
Also, about Max, even though she's alive now, she technically died, clinically, so Vecna now has her soul/conscience most likely, which is why El couldn't find her when reaching into her mind.
I can't wait for season 5. It was painful waiting for season 4 but now I have to deal with another wait. 😂
When Henry/001 was shoved into the upside down, it wasn't a permanent portal. It was a temporary one that didn't stay open, but when the portal in 1983 opened, that one was permanent and stayed open, and by that time, Henry, now Vecna, had gained an immense amount of control, twisting the upside down into an even more evil realm, and copied the real world when the portal opened.
About the Mind Flayer: there was already a hive mind in the upside down before Henry arrived, but it had no form. It was only the particles, but Henry molded it into what he wanted, which turned out to be the same shape as what he took an interest in as a kid: black widow spiders. I don't necessarily think Vecna controls the Mind Flayer. He's more like its ruthless enforcer like how Vader is for Palpatine in Star Wars. There are so many SW references that I believe that is the case. He could still definitely have control over the upside down though. It's really up to debate and theorizing until season 5 comes out and we possibly get some sort of confirmation.
Season 4 100% is my favorite season so far.
It's sad to see the entire town getting wrecked, but since Eddie was a fan favorite, mine included, seeing where he lived get torn apart by the portal opening was especially sad to see.
Well now that the whole world will know about the dimensional gateway and what's truly going on, the government won't have to torture people anymore and people won't have to be stalked anymore. It still made me mad seeing how the government just barged into the Byers' house in California earlier in the season too. If that's how it is irl too, I'm not happy with the way people are treated.
If other people were in different situations it may have worked out, especially with Eddie and the flamethrower would have been better against the bats too. Idk it kinda reminded me of Mass Effect where you have to choose a leader for each task in the last mission and hope they survive.

or kind of similar to the empire strikes back - many of characters ran out of time and the one with the power to confront the antagonist head-on wasn't ready. i think maybe if eleven was able to communicate with the rest of the team and tell them to wait it out and not confront venca then they could have prevented so much from going wrong
@@nerdymarriedcouple YES! Excactly I agree wit hthe Empire statement too! The ones supporting Eleven could have helped out too, excerpt they were stuck where they were. (Will, Jonathan and Argyle at least and Mike supports Eleven) I felt they would have been useful, yet unable to assist someone like Eddie. Granted if Eddie didn't buy more time it would have been a huge failure anyway.

If only El would have thought sooner that she might have enough power to keep her from dying maybe she could have stopped her from that one minute death that caused Vecna to achieve his mission and how Vecna survived that burn and many shots is just crazy if that didn't kill him I don't know how they are going to kill him in season 5

I like what someone else said before. That when El opened the second portal at the start of the show, Vecna was able to re-create Hawkens within his world. Like a screenshot. But it doesn't change with the passage of time like it does in the real world. That would explian the missing weapons in Nancie's room.

Probably the only problem i have with this season is that they killed off eddie at the worst time. He didn't deserve a death or at least couldve survived to season 5. But everything else is just phenomenal writing and acting. One of the best in the season.
Eddie couldn’t really have made it to season 5 tbh. Everyone blames him for what’s happening, there’s no way he could be integrated back into society (as unfair and horrible as that is) :/

I think Max is going to be apart of him and can feel him just like Will can. Her and Will are gonna have that connection. The emotional reactions with the acting is so beautiful. Max became my all time favorite character after Episode 4. I think he has her trapped somewhere with the others because he did say all the people he killed are now apart of him so Max might have that connection with the afterlife but she's not dead so Eleven can still rescue her. Theres still a chance but not for the others.....

Max will for sure wake up. There are many theories to as what tho. A vessel for Vecna to have a person on the inside to know what the group is doing. Like Mike was in season 2 when he was infected by the mindflayer. Or that she have got powers of her own now that Eleven used powers on her to bring her back. I myself think she is somehow trapped in the mind of Vecna. I would be very surprised if she does not wake up. To not have her be an important part of next season would be so bad seeing as she is one of the most lovable characters. I for one would rage quit if she just never wakes up. She needs to have a big part of next season one that is happier for her. She have suffered all seasons so far probably more than anyone. She needs to have a season where she actually wins.
Don't think she will dude. Vecna doesn't only steal their memories, he consumes what they are and ever will be. She's a part of him now. Plus, the Duffers confirmed she's braindead. He dies, she dies.

@@kingwacky184 While her body did not endure the extent of the injuries the other three sacrifices had to endure due to El saving her, he definitely did complete his ritual that's how those cracks started forming everywhere.

She didn't gain a new ability. She used her telekinesis to force her heart to pump blood back to her brain.

I feel like Dr Brenner is the MindFlayer in the Upside Down. They said the demogorgan is a foot soldier, Vecna is a general, and that means the Mind Flayer is the leader. Dr Brenner does stuff with the mind. I’ve had this theory for a long time and now Matthew Modine has said he thinks Dr Brenner will be back and that he might have mind powers.

I was very emotional for this finale. But now that I've calmed down, I have a few problems with it. The biggest one is Mike. In season 2, if Will so much as frowned for more than a fraction of a second, Mike would be by his side, comforting him. Now, Will is literally crying next to him and around him and he doesn't notice. Which is very ironic since he's called the heart of the party.
Two, Mike telling El that his life didn't really start until he met her. Not only did he know Dustin, Lucas, and Will before that, he seemed really happy to know them. Does that suddenly not matter to him? Also, the day he met her is the same day Will literally went missing. Also, also, in season 2, Mike told Will that the best thing he'd ever done was talk to him that day on the swings. He thought the best thing he'd ever done was meeting Will. But now, he's saying his life hadn't started until very recently. So Mike is either lying, or this is another "we forgot Will's birthday" oversight. And both of those options don't sound good. But to add another layer to it, Mike's confession was not only brought on by Will, but it was also Will talking about his own feelings but pretending El felt that way. So Mike is in love with the idea Will presented but that idea is about Will, so that speech technically wasn't really about El but also it was? There's a lot going on. But also, El told Mike that Will was seemingly making a painting for someone he liked and that she didn't know what it was. Will told Mike that El commissioned it, which means she'd have to know what it was. So if Mike sits down and thinks for more than 3 seconds, he should realize that one of them is clearly lying. One of them is lying to make their best friend happier. And that person is Will.
Will deliberately looked away from Mike so he wouldn’t see him cry so he wouldn’t see how in pain he was because as he said Vecna won’t stop till he’s taken everything and everyone he knows no one is truly safe and my theory is Will or Mike will be the final sacrifice kinda how Tony snapped in Endgame

no its a retcon. in season 2 joyce says his birthday is march 22nd in the ice skating rink someone is filming and it has the date march 22nd. So they literally forgot wills birthday canonically speaking. The characters didn't though the directors did. They accidently made that day march 22nd. So they are literally CHANGING joyce saying march 22nd to may 22nd in season 2. So they retconned wills birthday. Very minor but its a retcon. No one minds im sure but they retconned his birthday.
