I love watching you guys. I live in the States and I stumbled across one of the Anderton’s videos of you and the CPT and I fell in love with the show. I can’t remember how many years ago it was. It’s also been cool watching you on your journey in the guitar business. I wish you much and continued success in everything you do. I would love to sit and have a few beers with you, the CPT and Pete. I just can’t imagine how much fun that would be.

Good to see you safe and sound after the accident. Any chance you could reintroduce 9.5/10” radius on the ML1 Pro? I’d have sold almost everything I own to get the cherry red ML1 Pro X with a more curved fretboard.

Rob, amazing news all around! Glad you’ll have time to go make Anderton’s content and get to the show in Birmingham. It’s true that people noticed that the Standard line was missing at NAMM, but I thought I heard you explain the reason once already - perhaps in an interview. It makes sense not to rush that. You moved to a new factory and want to make sure the guitars are made right and not rushed. I’m sure there are lots of disappointed customers, but I think most people would agree that it makes sense. There are still plenty of Chapman guitars at dealers and on Reverb in the meantime if people have to have one now, like you said. It’s a sound business decision to make sure you’re able to mass produce at large volumes with a high quality.
About the band rebrand, although I totally understand the reasons for the change to Rob Chapman, I really do like the Clockwork, Wolf, & Co name. Seems a shame for it to just disappear even when it is all the same band members. Have you thought of maybe calling yourselves “Rob Chapman featuring Clockwork Wolf & Co” (or shortening it to Clockwork Wolf if there are any issues with keeping the exact same name) similar to “Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators?” You’d get all the same benefits of getting to play all old material you’ve ever done with past bands and your name recognition while still keeping a cool name to collectively represent your bandmates and honor the identity you’ve collectively built as Clockwork, Wolf & Co. Please consider it if you haven’t. I know you said your bandmates are all for the name change, but it’s just a great band name that fans have come to identify with, and it would be a shame to ditch that name altogether. Maybe you guys hadn’t considered a mashup name as an option. Just tossing the thought out there in case you guys didn’t think of that possibility. I’ll still listen regardless, of course, but just voicing my opinion as a fan.
Anyway, keep doing what you’re doing. I’m always rooting for you! 🤘🏻🎸🔊🎶❤️🔥
Hi Dude, thank you for the comment and taking the time to write it, to be honest people can call us whatever they like. I love the name as well but as much easier for promoters/marketers to use Rob Chapman since it’s way more recognisable…. I don’t know, I’ve gone back-and-forth on it so much, but ultimately I asked a few well established musician friends and they all told me just to call it Rob Chapman… I guess it’s my name after all

I had to find my grandparents birth certificates, both born in 1896 and their marriage certificate from 1931 by which time they had both changed their names

I got through the hoops eventually but it was a difficult process

Hey Rob! I wonder (and of course not asking for specific details you probably can't go into) what are the main elements that decide to switch manufacturing facilities for Chapman? Originally they were made by WMI and it lasted for a good while and then i think this is the 2nd or 3rd switch after that, which makes me think if it is about quality/QC, costs, availability, etc. Looking forward to hearing the new tunes!
We had a call from our friend Trever Wilkinson, he was recommending a new facility that he had been working with - we made a few prototypes to check them out and were blown away

Just rewatched the Rig Your Mate Will Hate video. I forgot you had hair, once upon a time, lol! New rig for Lee to hate idea, B.C. Rich Ironbird, Electro Harmonix Talking Machine filter pedal, and maybe an Orange amp, something from the Dark series, I know Lee has never been a big fan of Orange (I think he's a crazy person for that, but to each his own, right?) Anyway, I can't wait to see the vids from this visit. Chappers and the Captain are the best comedy duo the guitar world ever had!

Just going to throw this out into the universe and see where it lands - I am wishing for a new Cap10 model in the standard range, same white and tortoise pickguard, but with a high quality Floyd Rose. That’s my dream guitar.

There is something mellifluous about the way that "Island Of Malta" rolls off the tongue, I have been randomly saying that for decades. I believe that I should go look at the Atlas, now that I am thinking of it.
You should do a video about the best rig for busking. Bring in Ben from August Radio Project and have him bring a couple of his fellow busking friends from the area. These guys do this for a living every day and definitely more for the love of music than the pay. Unique lifestyle for sure. I think it would be a great video. Just an idea.
