I love it. I thought I was only one that collected non sport cards. I hope my family appreciates my collection after I pass and not just want to sell. You know some of the younger generation may not appreciate these classics

You continue to amaze me with your collections Dave. This brought back so many memories and because I had stopped collecting, I didn't even know all these tv shows had cards.
I remember having some of the Happy Days cards. I even remember one said "Only the Fonz is cool enough to take aspirin without water." 😀 I started doing that as a kid so I could be as cool as the Fonz. 😀 I had some Charlie's Angels cards, because of course I did being a normal boy. 😀 And Farrah's bicycle poster too, and I'm "only" 54. 😀 I had a bunch of the Star Wars cards from the first movie, including the "error" card of C-3PO. I remember asking Dad why the image looked wrong and he did a good job not laughing and told me that misprints happen. 😀 WACKY PACKAGES! I remember those in 6th grade/middle school in 78-79. I think there's still a folder somewhere in storage covered with the stickers I put on it when I was 11. 😛 And I like the rug too. 🙂 My parents had a small rug like that that I remember from childhood. 😀 Fun video! Oh man this brought me back! I collected a lot of those cards in the mid to late 70, still have some! There were some great shows on TV in that era! I love that you have the invoice when your dad bought the Star Wars sets requesting that each and every card be in mint condition! 😁 The Wacky Packages cards are classic! All cool stuff Dave!

Almost like they were letting us go to the theater every night so it was like we were getting cultured. The TV is also the ultimate baby sitter so I assume they also used it to get other things done at night. I didn't mind at all... I could watch A Team, Dukes of Hazzard, and The Fall guy all day long. It was Gunsmoke, Bonanza, the rifleman Daniel Boone all thole reruns of whatbyou posted and Hawaii 5-0 while hanging out at grandma's on the weekend
Dave, Just love the non sport cards! I am just a few years older than you but it seems that we had the same collecting interest! As a young boy of six years old I developed my love for non sport cards with several sets from 1965! I love the Flintstones, Munsters cards and of course my favorite Gilligan’s island cards, I only have 14 or so but hopefully some day I will concentrate on finishing that set! Thanks for reminding me of the seventies sets I will have to see what sets of mine still need completing. Thanks for showing them!
Love this Dave !! I think its very possible that the first cards i ever collected were movie cards from vending machines. I have a good size movie wax pack collection of my era late 80’ and 90’s. I also collected marvel cards for years had all the complete sets with holograms. Fun for me to see those again. Those nintendo cards were so sick I had so many of those probably have them in a box somewhere. Great video Dave
Awesome video Dave. Thanks for sharing! I’m a big fan of the Goudey Indian Gum cards as well as anything old Americana. I have an 1880 H602 US Presidents Abraham Lincoln card. I’ve only ever seen one other. Between PSA and SGC they’ve graded the card 15 times and my SGC 6.5 is the highest graded copy on planet earth at the moment. I think the artistic qualities of those old cards and advertising pieces are very under appreciated.
OMG. It keeps going!! Brady Bunch, Lost in Space and Wacky Packages series are things I have only seen in pictures. Truly an amazing collection. If you have extras and ever want to sell or trade I'm on UA-cam as well, nothing like your collection, mostly 70's and 80's & GPK but would love to chat someday.

It is HIGHLY SOUGHT and very VALUABLE ,OH who am I to tell you anything man. Just a quick aside I did see an unopened box of 1967 Marvel Stickers at the 2022 Niagara Falls ComicCon - he's a friend of mine and at "mates rates" he wanted $12500 US - which is like seventeen thousand Canadian. I did get lucky 10 years ago and got the wrapper, do I have a nice wrapper and EIGHT stickers

I meant to say I have in my collection eight of the '67 Marvel Stickers along with a nice wrapper, and although I do 4 or 5 comic shows a year the 1967 set which we have been discussing is as rare as hensteeth. Great video. Love the non-sports stuff. John had a few on those smaller Made in England sets like your Flintstones. His Primrose Confectionary was Laurel and Hardy but there were others that were similar in size and style. The best was probably the 1938 F.C. Cartledge boxing set. I think they must have all come from the same seller in England though as they were packaged the same.

These are incredible sets! I opened tons of those 1989 Nintendo packs because they were cheap at the time and found in every deli & corner store in NYC. The stickers didn’t stick & the “game” was a flop, but I couldn’t stop ripping into them!

The Flintstones set is cool! The Brady Bunch & Gilligan's Island set is another one that is just brings back the childhood. Mars Attacks has to be my Favorite still. I am sure I do not have more than a handful of non-sports sets. I know a G.I. Joe would make my list.

Great sets! I have most of those too, our taste is similar. I have a lot more horror sets from the 60’s…and the great Jack Davis artwork sets, 1957 Wacky Plaks, etc. You’ll die laughing! ❤❤ The Gilligan, Lost In Space, Munsters, Mars Attacks, Brady Bunch… some epic sets that i had to pass on in the late 80’s when I saw them, cause they were way too expensive back THEN! Lol. I end up “type” collecting those sets… just a couple examples in my collection. My Gilligan card is filler condition! One of my biggest regrets in collecting, was selling my minty Brady Bunch set back in 2009. It’s MY lost Cracker Jack card😮💨 If you don’t have the 1964 Outer Limits Set, that’s a challenging one! Black borders… Really fun to flip through, even if you never watched the show! Only 2, 16th series stickers away from my complete wacky run! I just can’t pay the asks on the graded stuff… (and the rare raw examples tend to be below a ex+ or better bar I set for series 16) Love your videos!

I’m still able to pick up PSA graded examples of sets I need a card from. Often for the price of shipping ! 🤞🏼
I love the Mars attacks it was my first vintage non sport set I put together. I regret selling it off along with my 1st series Garbage Pail Kids 10 years ago. 😭
I agree selling tends to result in regret. I sold my 1967 die cut packages set… regretted it so had to put another one together … at considerably more cost!
You saved the best for second to last! I have wanted Mars Attacks for a while but they are spensive. I think Topps pulled them early because of parent complaints. A few weeks ago I started getting the ~1940 Goudey bubble gum war cards for my kids to help teach them 🇺🇸 history and build the Warrior Spirit.

I have some wresting cards and sets - only memorabilia I have is some early 1970s programs from memeorial hall in KC. Mid states wrestling o believe. I was a big fan back then if kc wrestling. Mad dog ( handsome Harley) Race lived close to me. When I saw him at the mall ( circ 1970) I would literally run and hide

Amazing collection. I remember having some Mork & Mindy and Hulk cards back when those came out. Couple of years later started with baseball cards and pretty much ignored the rest. But I've come to better appreciate them over the years. And now I have cards from seriesl I didn't even watch like Dragon Ball or TMNT III. Plus the 1983 Return of the Jedi my brother collected and a couple of Marvel sets that never disappoint.

Is it best to store cards in an album rather than in a box?
I’d think so unless the cards are in top loaders

I have some wresting cards and sets - only memorabilia I have is some early 1970s programs from memeorial hall in KC. Mid states wrestling o believe. I was a big fan back then if kc wrestling. Mad dog ( handsome Harley) Race lived close to me. When I saw him at the mall ( circ 1970) I would literally run and hide

Amazing collection.
I remember having some Mork & Mindy and Hulk cards back when those came out.
Couple of years later started with baseball cards and pretty much ignored the rest.
But I've come to better appreciate them over the years.
And now I have cards from seriesl I didn't even watch like Dragon Ball or TMNT III. Plus the 1983 Return of the Jedi my brother collected and a couple of Marvel sets that never disappoint.
Affordable for now and fun. I neeed to set a Mork and Mindy set
