- Something rather interesting happened regarding Bristlefrost in the latest Warrior Cats book. Here are my thoughts.

I believe that cats who’s spirits disappear “forever” are reincarnated, and there’s proof in the arc as well! Antpelt was killed in the dark forest, and later on Antfur was born. Spottedleaf died permanently, and then Spotfur was born. I have a feeling Spotfurs litter will be three kits, being stemkit, graykit, and of course, bristlekit. This will probably be a minor background plot in the next arc, but I think it’s plausible. They’ve used reincarnation before, why not again? Just a thought :)
graystripe and stemleaf didnt die forever so why would they be reincarnated? theyre already in starclan so its too late
@@SkyPangolin I think they just mean that the kits will be named after stem and gray but bristlekit would be the only reincarnated one.
Does that mean Cinderpelt was killed in Starclan? IT'S HEADCANNON TIME
I like to think that, too. I’m writing a fanfiction where Bristlefrost is reborn
@@billcipher8645 That was a different kind of reincarnation, where Starclan chose to send a cat back to life instead of keeping them as a spirit.
Can't believe you just called Bristlefrost a Schrödinger's cat
What does that mwan
@@2simpleofamango281 Schrödinger’s cat is basically an idea that if you put a cat in a box and there is a problem with the box that should kill the cat the cat is simultaneously dead and alive until someone opens the box (edit: I hope I am right)
@@christianfillysecretagents4477 I'm pretty sure you are?
You described the hypothetical experiment, made to prove his theory of quantum something or other
which is that until observed, an object can be in multiple states at once
Ty for that
@@strawber3seal_77 okay good, thank you
Haven’t watched the whole video yet, but I had to get my theory out.
When a spirit faded forever, they leave one thought behind : the future or the past. Their strongest moment. That thought stays in the Earth forever.
Of course, this moment was the future for Bristlefrost’s; her strongest moment was with Rootspring. Some cats, however, leave an unforgettable moment of their past. For example, someone like Spottedleaf could share the moment she first saw Firestar. Or the moment she became a medicine cat apprentice.
The sisters, or someone like Rootspring, can access this moment through thinking about the cat. That is all left of them, and that fragment of their life will remain forever.
Simple explanation: The warrior cats multiverse exists, and the dark water is the place between universes.
0-0
It's just a theory it's not Canon bruh
@@Strongclaw They didn't claim it was canon lol
@@Clooover "Simple explanation" as in its true which it definitely is not.
@@Strongclaw You don't know if it's not true though. Theres no proof it isn't but theres also no proof it is.
Plot twist: Dark water is a portal and now Ashfur and Bristlefrost have to spend a whole super edition trying to find their way back.
What about darktail (I don’t remember his name) we was killed in the water too
we need that
@@KatzeBabesyea, but I’m pretty sure that was in the main world not in the dark forest
that would be hilarious
lets hope theyre not in the backrooms…………
I’m actually writing a book with that plot:
Bristlefrost and Ashfur are trapped in some kind of infinite darkness due to falling down in the dark forest water, meanwhile Rootspring gets some kind of vision which leads him to the tunnels under ThunderClan and WindClan territory and there he meets Rock, who seems to know something about Bristlefrost
(I’m not really done with the brainstorming about that book)
Imagine ivypools pain. The dark forest took so much from her, and now her daughter :(
Not even a body for her to bury
I knowwwww 😭
Ivy pool was my favorite character during the Omen and the Stars, and it broke my heart to read about her grieving for her daughter. :c
Mhm along w Rootspring I couldn’t agree more😞😭😢
IKR? Poor Ivypool, and Rootspring! 😭😭😭😭
My hope is that BristleFrost is slowly making the ascension to Starclan. Her spirit is swimming against the current of the dark water and her love for Rootspring [like Rootspring's love for her] will allow her to escape and eventually reach Starclan.
I love the thought of Bristlefrost and Rootspring's love keeping her from fading forever. It gives me hope that something will happen in the next arc. She might not come back as a living cat, but I hope that she at least gets to be in StarClan. I hope that she will at least be able to watch over Rootspring, Shadowsight, and her family in ThunderClan.
@@miaperry1834 same!
@@miaperry1834 If this does happen then I feel like Rootspring would think it's his imagination which would sadden me to my very soul
I have a teory, or rather a headcanon about when a cat fades, it doesn't just stop existing. In PoT or OotS, it is mention (if im not wrong) that Starclan cats are given the propechies by a "Higher Power". I mean, Starclan wasnt responsable for the Three or their reincarnations. So maybe that Higher Power is composed by Faded Cats, that sometimes can get reincarnated.
In that case, I think it would work like partial explanation to the Sisters and even Rock and Midnigth. Maybe all of them can contact that Higher Power without Starclan as an intermediate and the Earth or Earth ralking is actually comuniacting withta Power. It would explane why when Root search for Bristle, he only found her dying memory as she is now part of that Higher Power I gues.
In conclusion: How can a Series of feral cats has such a complex lore???
this makes sense
I really like this idea
This is exactly what i thought as well
This is a good idea! It would be sad if cats just faded from existence forever
I was reading the Warriors wiki and it says that StarClan cats cand die again but they vanish forever GOING TO A DIFFERENT PLACE
I need to share my new theory because of this video and other people's theories. So when a StarClan or Dark Forest cat fades away or is killed, they simply reincarnate to any other newborn kit, when any living or dead cat falls through the dark water, their mind forcefully goes to what they wished the most, then they relive their life, but with what they wished for the most, Bristlefrost thought of Rootspring and their kits, so she went to an alternate universe where Rootspring joined ThunderClan and they had the three kits of her imagination. I believe because of this that Ashfur thought of Squirrelflight, so in his alternate universe, Squirrelflight is now mates with him and happily raising their kits, also raising Leafpool's kits but they don't find out about their true parentage. I think it sounds like a good theory honestly.
Underrated
Now my brain is trying to think of all the cats that died permanently and their alternate universes.
Now I have a large theory on this
So my main theory is the water isn’t actually water itself, but an form of “ anti Matter”. The reason why cats died within it is because it destroy all matter living or dead. Has humans do understand that anti Matter must have matter to balance itself out. Anti Matter is always viewed has space itself, having no form like water itself. The main reason we have the memory left behind is because of Bristle Frost love itself. She wished for one thing and the matter and antimatter tried to balance itself out leaving that memory within the earth.
Now do I think Bristlefrost spirit is gone, no of course I do not. It just not logical has energy is never destroyed, but recycled into an endless loop of the universe. My main theory is that there is an loop for all cats. Cats are born into the world, living out their life like anyone would be, at the end of their life. They become spirits, overtime those spirit slow fade into Energy leaving behind a spark of their once memory. After doing so they go back into the earth, being reborn again has a new being with an whole different destiny. On very special cases spirits will remember their former form, like Jay Wing and Jay Feather moment in life. I also think this count for dark forest cats has well, has there will always be evil in the world to keep it balanced.
Again it’s just my theory.
Now I understand why the authors wanted to write a Ivypool super edition. I bet they wanted her to go on a journey to the dark forest again to find her daughter
what if she DOES find Bristle, PLOT TWIST, wait I need to right a new book! " Ivy Pool finds Bristle Frost! " THANKYOU
@@rosaliewindhawksso8633 lol
neat theory, really! Personally tho, I really hope the writers stick to their guns and keep Bristle dead-- not brought back, not reincarnated, nothing. It was a beautiful, poignant moment for me and it'll be extremely cheap if she comes back just to be mom #42 with Rootspring. Actually, I would love if an eventual book showed Rootspring actually moving on and finding a new mate. Bristle died when he was really young and he has a lot of life to live. It would be very sweet.
If they go back on it, I'll be so mad. It would completely defeat the point of the sacrifice
I wouldnt mind if she was reincarnated but I dont want her having anything to do with rootspring because she should be a blank slate, no memories of her past life.
@@screeching2181 true. That would be as good as a new character tho 🤔
I hope for reincarnation that's only in-name appearance and personality. A comment near the top mentions how when Antfrost died, Antfur was born soon after, same with Spottedleaf and Spotfur. Possible this happens with Bristlefrost?
@@itzzausty Spotfur was born nowhere near when Spottedleaf died tho. Lion and Cinder had a whole litter before them, with Sorrelstripe, Hollytuft and Fernsong. So much so that Spotfur is dating someone her NIECE is interested in and isnt that much older than her! There has been a fair timeskip between AVoS and TBC.
I loved this video! I love to think about metaphysical ideas. Remember when Jayfeather was somehow transported back to the time of the "ancient" cats? He had a mate there and I can not for the life of me remember her name. Who's to say that Rootspring and Bristlefrost were mates at some other time and had been reincarnated as sometimes happens in the Warrior Cat universe? Maybe they were remembering their past lives together? It's just one of many possibilities.
Half moon was her name
Half moon a white cat
Half Moon, the ancient tribe leader
Halfmoon her name
What if the water bristle frost “died” in led to an alternate world and she’s still alive?
Amazing! :)
@@loucievaconsin2698 really I didn’t want her to die
@@featherfootproductions Same... :(
YES
She can’t be gone completely…
I would honestly really love to see something like that explored.
Not necessarily with her but in general.
No one ever guessed that possession would be a thing in this series, so I don't think it's all that crazy to imagine a canon warriors Isekai lol
I feel like bringing Bristlefrost back would be kind of a cop out. I’ve always hated when heroes come back to life, bc then you never feel grief or suspense properly.
As much as I miss bristlefrost, I agree.
Off topic to this video but when the books end I would like 1 of 2 things to happen
1: an old cat telling a story to their grand kitties about the clans, but they are actually a former clan cat themselves after the clans went extinct due to two legs, this also means the tribe is gone, warrior clan is the only group of cats left with clan customs
2: a cat wakes up, and we realize that the entirety of clan life was just a dream and it actually never existed
2: No wonder there were so many continuity errors! /j /lh
Both of these would cause mass outrage
Willowshine: Died in the dark forest and shes in StarClan
Bristlefrost: *Deceased, no residence*
Well if you think about it, Willoshine didn't really die in the Dark Forest, she just died wondering outside of her body for a bit.
I mean, bristlefrost's spirit and body quite literally dissapeared
FINALLY SOMEONE WHO NOTICED THIS
I absolutely love this video. I'm so glad that there are people like you in this fandom, who make awesome videos going even deeper into the meaning and happening of the events in the books, straying away from the status quo. Thanks for this video
I think Bristlefrost might be seeing the future and she's not actually dead, she's just so deep in the water she can't quite escape. She loved Rootspring so much that she's still alive just missing (like Rootspring in the previous book, only she doesn't make it out physically), but Ashfur, filled with hate, DOES die forever because it consumes him. And the next arc Bristle finds a way out (probably thanks to the new protags Flamepaw, Frostpaw, and/or Sunbeam) and comes back and has kits with Root.
(ok I don't actually think this, it's just what I WANT to happen. I don't want her to be gone forever)
TL;DR I'm in denial so this is my headcanon/ hope for the next arc
Yes I understand this, I know that she has to stay dead but I really don't want it to be true 😭
Her body disappeared from the living world as well
My theory is that her spirit was saved last minute and shoved into frostpaw. So bris tells frosp stuff and frosp tells others and she can't possibly know this stuff so she becomes a med and thinks she has a connection with starclan (hence the blurb) and mothwing dies and it turns out she doesn't so she can't be trained by spirit cats (WE ARE IGNORING PUDDLESHINE, AND RC PROBABLY CLOSED ITS BORDERS OR SMTH) so epic quest yada yada finchpaw is evil flamepaw becomes leader sunbeam exists bye bye.
Nah I agree too. When I read it I just thought she was looking into the far future.
I agree! Bristle is actually me fav character! I just don’t think it’s more likely than some other theories going around.
Okay, this is actually so interesting.
Now, I want to write a fanfiction about where Bristlefrost and Ashfur went. Maybe they went to an alternate reality!?
It reminds me the litter who died in a guide. They joined Starclan as their warrior selves, but they technically never have been warriors. They introduced themselves as "the warriors they would have been" if they didn't died tragically. Do they also know a parallel, or better said, a coexistent reality ?
Wow, I never thought of it this way! I thought of it as Bristle accepting her life, her death, and her love by thinking of what had and what could have happened. Well I guess that's sort of the same...
Also, I understood you perfectly. This abstract idea of the two realities has always been in my mind so I had no trouble understanding.
Maybe when Bristlefrost was seeing memories of her with Rootspring, she didn't bring it into existence. Rather, she was able to use the last of her energy to break through the fabric of reality to enter into an alternate universe where an alternate version of herself had kits with Rootspring and her main existence essentially merged with the existence of her alternate self in an alternative universe. In other words, our Bristlefrost's consciousness merged with the consciousness of the AU Bristlefrost and is living a happy life with the AU Rootspring in the alternate universe while possibly only having faint memories of her life from her original universe. The trace of Bristlefrost that Rootspring found could be the evidence of Bristlefrost's jump from her original universe to the AU universe.
I love this theory
I really hope Bristlefrost stays gone forever. Nothing personal against her, it just would feel like her sacrifice was meaningless
If she comes back then in theory cats like tigerstar and ashfur can come back
@@Strongclaw or worse, a cat like spottedleaf!!
Spinning bristlefrost is my life
Ues
I think Bristlefrost is a recarination of someone. Same with Rootspring. I feel like that explains why Bristlefrost was having the memory of her and Rootspring running side by side, sleeping together in a nest,, and looking at 3 kits. She was probably remembering a bit of her past life with Rootspring before they were both recarinated. Plus, a lot of people keep saying that for the warrior cats to be recarinated, it happens right when they die. But look at this, remember Jay's Wing? Lion's Roar? Dove's Wing? They were dead for a LONG time, but then they were recarinated as the cats we know today, Jayfeather, Lionblaze, and Dovewing.
I hope that in the new Warrior Cats arc, Fristpaw learns that not all cats who die permanently are gone forever and she needs to help them
This comment is so underrated! What if the spirit cats were stuck in some terrible place that's even worse than the dark forest, and maybe the protags could try to save them? Probably won't happen but it's a really interesting idea!
@@gummikandii5671this is one of my main theories lol
Well, guess I'll watch this once I know who Bristlefrost is
Yes
I’m a little bit very late to this video and I haven’t read all the comments so sorry if I’m repeating anything, but my theory is that in warrior cats destiny is just the plans of starclan. Starclan planned for Bristle and Root to have kits. As it says in the book it “should have been.” Ashfur was a starclan cat and contradicted the plan, changing destiny. Those kits were real in the ideal world that starclan planned. Or maybe there’s a whole multiverse thing going on (like the Spider-Man thing in marvel) that’s a main timeline based on what should happen and branches coming off of it and each version of starclan tries to keep their world as close to the main timeline as possible. The warrior cats books are just one branch of this timeline, our fanfics are others. This would mean all our head cannons are completely true. You may now applaud.
Strong WandaVision vibes here! Nice theory by the way
Just imagine the maps that could come from this!
I LOVE THAT SHOW
Poor Wanda tho
Thank you for pointing this out. I was completely shattered after Bristlefrost's death and barely noticed this part of the book. The fact that they shared the same memories flew right past me in my grief. This warmed my heart so much and, quite honestly, made me cry. its probably weird to be this upset about the death of a fictional cat with a fictional cat boyfriend. Its just the truth that they'll never be together, ever again, not even in cat heaven, that they'll never see each other, that makes you think about the real world, where we don't know if the afterlife is real, and the fact that we might never see our loved ones again. It's crushing when Rootspring, who's known since birth that people who die will be seen again in starclan, loses that reassurance altogether when the person he loves, the cat he's poured all his love into, the same cat he decided he'd leave his clan, sister, mother and father for, dies.
I still think it's stupid they killed her off especially after all that build up with root and bristle
they did that on purpose so that when she died it would hit you harder
I just finished reading A Light in the Mist yesterday, and I can't seem to understand why Bristlefrost is gone. Her body was in the living world. Her spirit was in the Dark Forest. Willowshine died in the Dark Forest with her body in the living clans. She isn't gone. She's in StarClan. When Bristlefrost died, her physical body was said to disappear. So why did Willowshine's body stay? Why did it not fade like Bristlefrost's?
I may be missing a piece of information that I've forgotten, but otherwise this doesn't make sense.
Bristleftost’s body was in the Dark Forest. Pretty sure she literally jumped into the Moonpool or somethin
Simply the fact that she went into the water at the end. The water is basically soul acid so yeah, there’s nothing really left.
@@bobsatonalog4839 that is true, but it is also mentioned that if you die in the DF, you're gone forever. I think it's because it’s not their spirit that's in the DF, but the actual body. When a cat dreams into the DF and dies, they’re not gone forever, but they are dead. But Briss’ body was in the DF, not just her spirit because she didn't dream her way in. She was physically inside of it.
Willowshines spirit didn't die, though. Ashfur interfered with the connection between her spirit and her physical form, rendering her dead. If ashfur had killed her spirit, she would have faded, but he didnt, he simply trapped her.
Bristlefrosts actual spirit died, so she faded away altogether. There's another living cat who faded away after being murdered in the DF but I can't remember the name.
@@Ocelot_Growl also Rootspring, Bramblestar, and Squirrelflight were the only cats to physically enter the moonpool. Everyone else dreamed themselves in
With the line that you based the video on, I always felt that she was forgetting. She was dying, sinking into the muck, and couldn't remember the difference between a dream and a memory. Her mind is giving subconscious wishes to her dying mind, and she doesn't know any better that they aren't real.
To put it simply, I think A Light in the Mist is one of the best books Erin Hunter has made thus far. It surely is better than any of the other Broken Code books. I liked how the story went and the differences that are now happening, like relationships between clans. Believe me, I never liked Bristlefrost because she was plain and boring and just kind of a fill in for that classic Thunderclan protagonist. When her end came about, it brought me to tears. How they wrote her off and the eery feeling that she is just completely just gone was heartbreaking. It made me mourn for her and brought a lot of emotions. Then how they dealt with Ivypool and Rootspring dealing with all of this was just even more heartbreaking. The last time I genuinely was so hurt was for Gray Wing, Ravenpaw, and Bluestar. Those three deaths made me cry and now Bristlefrost, a cat I never really enjoyed made me cry as well. I loved Rootspring and knowing how this would affect him just made things worse. I know how people feel about the Erins but I am quite unique when it comes to books. I take the story and make it real. Commonly, when I question things, people are like, "Cause the authors don't know what they're doing," Or simply, "The authors made it like that!" I instead take the characters, the plot, and the story and genuinely think about it and disregard the author to just make my own theories! So, with this book, Bristlefrost's end was heartbreaking because of how it was written and how they dealt with it.
As for this theory, which I hadn't really commented on so far, I think it's more or so a rush of memories spreading into your mind. I have seen something like it being done before. A character is dying and makes up false memories and believes they have happened because it makes the end more acceptable. Bristlefrost was obviously distraught over her own end and it was so much that she subconsciously made a false memory of herself having a life. It made her demise easier...which is even more sad when you think of it. As for Rootspring, he just sees those as possible futures that'll never happened, which is also sad. Say what you want about the Erins, but they did a good job with this...and well, it was a great end to Bristlefrost. It'll suck reading how Rootspring is getting along, same with Ivypool, but I am looking forward to it. Glad I was introduced to the series, even if it was quite late, because I have so many favorites now! Bramblestar! Hawkwing! Gray Wing! Ravenpaw! Skystar! Rootspring! And quite a few more. Anyways, the finale was good and definitely one of their best yet.
THE FRICKEN AUDACITY THEY HAD TO KILL OFF BRISTLEFROST💀🔫
I haven't read these stories in so long but I love the Fandom. Apparently there are cats who can read earth's energies now?
And I thought Dovewings power was strange..
Here’s MY theory on what happened:
When Bristlefrost died, she was sent to an alternate universe, where her and Rootspring are living in ThunderClan, with their kits and family. My evidence is that her memories she gained just before her death, that was her becoming the Bristefrost in the alternate universe. She will somehow discover that she is in a different universe, and she will now try and travel from universe to universe to find the one she started in, and when she does, she will be alive again and will return to Rootspring.
A stupid theory? Of course!
Could it be true? Maybe!
So once a cat fades or is destroyed, they are sent to the life they wished they got to live
I have a theory about the Warrior cats books:
So the Warriors books are all written in past tense, right? So when warriors inevitably ends I think that Rock or someone will be like
"And that is the history of the five Warrior clans and their battles" to some random futuristic cats or something like that...
Yea
I'm very sleep deprived since is probably very hard to understand
(I really hope Akira sees this)
I think Frostpaw might become Bristlefrost’s new form at some point in the next arc. Her eyes are depicted just like Bristlefrost’s and her prefix is FROST
Frostpaw was already born before Bristlefrost died
@@Warriorslover to be fair, Cinderkit was already born before Cinderpelt died
@@Warriorslover Maybe frostpaw was a vessel for bristlefrost to eventually become?
@@quillheart877 Cinderkit was born *exactly* while Cinderpelt died, actually
Also spotfur has a kit named bristlekit now so maybe that’s bristle frost?
I want to add on to this a bit.
You know Spottedleaf? Who’s dead?
And Spotfur? Who was born AFTER Spottedleaf died?
What if Spottedleaf’s ‘last wish’ thing that Bristlefrost had, was something like ‘I wish I could have had a family with Firestar’
Then there’s Spotfur, whose name is similar to Spottedleaf’s, and looks almost similar to her (sharing at least some colors) who had a family with a (at least partially) GINGER tom?
But what if there was a technicality thing where Spottedleaf’s last wish didn’t specify weather or not ‘Firestar’ could die in this alternative universe?
I think Spotfur could be living out Spottedleaf’s last wish.
There’s a couple more cats I think this might end up applying to (like Flamepaw with Firestar and Antfur with Anypelt) but I’m too lazy to write them out and the only one I remember is Spotfur/Spottedleaf, so here ya go.
Anyway, this probably isn’t true, I just thought it was a strange coincidence.
Underrated W H O A .
Also Spotfur’s kit
Bristlekit
This is something weird but Stemleaf died right before he could see Spot’s kits
And Spottedleaf died right before Firestar could see her in Starclan
Also there’s Ashfoot, but that was before Ash died twice and she died I think
I think it was her mind having some form of euphoria before she died. In her final moments she likely believed it was real because her brain was literally suffocating and her spirit was disappearing. It makes sense that she was hallucinating
ALITM kinda seemed a bit rushed in some spots, tbh.
Agreed
@Sara Moustamandi i agree! But in some parts it just felt like they just wanted the book to come out. And I Also agree about Bristle'frost's death, but no warrior cats death will impact me like TigerStar's did (He's my favorite warrior cat lol)
I have a theory what if bristleforst was transported into that “memory” or alternate universe so when rootspring tried to summon her spirit he only saw a “memory” but that’s where her soul is currently living in the alternate universe
Consider the following: in the next book three young cats show up and it turns out they are the kits bris willed into existence they were just chilling somewhere before that point. I also like to think that spotfur and rootspring kind of help each other grieve.
R.I.P Bristlefrost (and Graystripe) 😢😔😭🥺
It sounds like theyre opening the door for alternate realities. It could allow for so many more stories to explore the warriors world from new perspectives. Like the AU where bristlefrost and rootspring DID have kits. An AU where Rusty fails to beat Longtail and gets thrown out of thunderclan. Or an AU where Jake was involved in Rusty's life and gave him to TallTail like Princess gave FireHeart Cloudkit. Or an AU where Jayfeather absolutely refused to be a medicine cat and actually proved his clan wrong by being the first blind warrior. Where fanfic CAN be canon. Its just an alternative reality; like you were saying.
I read it, and saw it as "the future that was supposed to occur". That they were seeing what the world had laid out for them had Ashfur _not_ become the impostor and nearly destory the clans
I think they either get reincarnated or get sent to ANOTHER starclan that no one knows of. Or maybe they wonder the earth and The sisters powers (and the kits of the sisters) can't sense these cats. Its always possable!
I think Bristlefrost's spirit is just lost very far away from the lake and Starclan bc Willowshine also died in the Dark Forest and other than the way she died the circumstances with Bristlefost are the exact same. If I wrote warriors I would make a novella about ghost Bristlefrost finding her way back to Rootspring and Starclan.
Akira's getting real philosophical-
Very good video, I thought sth like that as well when I read the ending a few hours ago. Needed a little comfort, thanks😅😪
I was so angry when she died though I don’t know how popular this opinion is but she’s my favourite character. Her death had no affect on the plot apart from Rootspring being sad- so Violetshine could’ve died instead?
SHRODINGERS CAT
honestly, with the amount of power starclan has (according to the theory i have thought up), i wouldnt be surprised if something like this introduced the multiverse or something
what if the book series is just getting ready for more powered cats and bristlefrost had(has?) a new power that can something something, maybe rootspring has memory powers, or the earth just naturally is affected by memories
but also, what if bristlefrost's power was direct manipulation of the earth o whatever?
What I have read into today (November 2023) is that Ivypool’s Heart is set to release in beginning of September next year. It is said to be set in the same timeline of the sixth book of A Starless clan and is to set the stage for the 18th super edition which is said to be a continuation of this plot from a separate character’s pov.
😮 I've never noticed that! Of course, I refuse to reread that part ever again, so that's not surprising. Bristlefrost and Rootspring's relationship was one of my all time favorites, so I was kind of traumatized by that book.
Bristlefrost dying just makes me feel sad
Is this what the cats thought of goosefeather?
Well the Erin's can do whatever they want obviously. Bristlefloof could literally be alive and well at the start of the next arc for whatever reason the authors decide. However, personally, I believe she's gone, and isn't coming back. We needed a big character death, and who else could they have chosen, lionblaze? Lol.
I more confused with the state of the warriors series since i haven't read the whole series. Haven't read a warrior book for 2-3ish years
My heart shattered and I broke down into tears after brislefrost died after rootspring decided he was going to change clans to be with her
*I’m going to scream if Frostpaw’s medicine cat name is Frostbristle*
So funny, yet so wise, Akira.
I think that when a spirit or cat fades they are trapped in a small black box or go off on a limbo: spotted leaf is constantly getting attacked by mapleshade bristle frost constantly drowns in the dark forest water or: they go off to a higher place or get reincarnated but not always near the clans, she might be reincarnated miles away rembering root spring unable to get to him
My therory: When bristle falls into the water ya know what happens but heres what im saying. JUST READ THIS Bristle kit opened her eyes to see herself next to her mother and her littermates she looks around and sees a cat with the same eyes and fur as her, the cat wispered, “help me!” She scrambled up and stared up at it who was this strange cat!? NOW THIS IS GONNA BE LIKE ANOTHER PART Ash kit opens his eyes he saw how beautiful everything was but he saw a cat with his features, well how his mother described him.The cat wispered, “Come here little kit i need you to help me” huh?! Who was this! Next part BristlePaw was dreaming about dark sloggy water and AshPaw was there to, she was pushing him down. As he slid down her head seeped down as she remembered things, BrambleStar? Who was that she only knew StrikeStar, her leader she remembered a cat named RootSpring and her heart thumped loudly. Next parttt RootPaw raced along the SkyClan border. It was his first patrol he was so exited! But as he ran he spotted a ThunderClan patrol and he gazed at a pretty she-cat with gray silky fur. Another parttt AshPaw was twisting in his sleep, a horrible nightmare and SoftPaw woke and yelled at him, as usual. But he was thinking about a life a life he felt he lived before, a life of….. evil then that same cat he saw when he first opened jis eyes appeared “No please! You must restore me!” It yelped and flashed away. Next part BristlePaw woke and was startled to see the cat she saw as a kit, “Restore me, i beg you… Im you!” What was this cat mumbling about?! Explaining: When you fade or die in the water you watch yourself grow up, again but only the spirits who had a destiny that has not been claimed reappear and the only way to restore them is to go to… the dark forest and find the blazing fire. Its a hard task but the cat will be sent visons from the dead spirit.
BristleFrost’s destiny: to have kits whom grow up to be, BeamStar, a cat whom succeeded SquirrelStar, StemPool, A medic cat and, GrayFlower, who recives a Prophecy about how a new group of cats are coming and you will fight them but, they will not fight you.
AshFurs destiny: He was about to throw in ShadowSight but he saw himself, basking with a cream colored cat, and a kit hoping from flower to flower, he drops ShadowSight and he stared at the ground feeling what theese cat were feeling “Reatreat” he called then as the water rose he stared down at his paws. “StarClan has sharred with me and i now know i will be given a second chance of reincarnation and i will have my memories of this life to remind me of the pain of being evil” he blurted out
MY THEROY ALSO TOOK FOREVER TO WRITE
I cried whenever Bristlefrost had “died”
I was just watching some of your videos!
@Tialami I think it’s either that or in bristle frosts case she was actually sent into that universe she thought of
Me: *talks about parallel universes* Everyone else: YoUR HurTIng mY bRAiN
‘ ‘ rootsping 4ever alone ‘ ‘ HAHAHA thats a book i’d readdd, JKKKKKK
I thought you were going to explain how Bridtlefrost is fully gone. A cat can only be fully gone if they die TWICE. She DIDNT die before going to the Dark Forest, right? However someone like Spottedleaf is gone forever because she died twice. Is it because she died in the DF? Then what’s about Beetlewhisker? I thought his spirit was just stuck in the DF after he died the first time? Am I not getting something?
It was explained in alitm that once a cat dies in the DF, they die forever. Like, die die.
Willowshine died in the darkforest yet somehow didn’t vanish and even went to starclan so it makes no sense
You just made every. Single. Fanfiction. Real
My theory: When bristle frost or ant pelt ect dies, they imagine something. doesn't matter what but thats what they think of. then they are in whatever they thought of for example bristlefrost, she had thought of loving rootspring and when the book states that in her "final moments" i believe it is referring to still being in a form of control. after her spirit death she is in a dream like state of whatever she believed in. this is why it said in her final moments she felt only warmth and love. and right now she is in a dream/coma of what she wanted so a lucid dream type of thing.
just my opinion though.
For me is about alternative realities that are created as we keep imagining them 👀
As vid finishes,
Me: IM GOING TO WRITE AN AU!
I think all cats that "fade" from Starclan are sent to a place of "beyond starclan," kinda in the way human's see heaven. So I like to believe that she's up in a beyond starclan kind of place with all the other faded cats like Spottedleaf and Snowtuft (and any other redeemable faded cats) I believe she will be with all her loved ones in a long time, once everyone is gone and faded
Ty for saying these words at the end bc I was slightly less depressed after you said this tho when I read this before I cried all my tears on the page and cursed at Erin Hunter while my heart slightly broke into pieces and almost stopped reading the saga forever😞😭
Jayfeather said in one of the books that the mothers imagined there whole kits lifes
I would wanna see Spottedleaf’s memories before she died a second time. Did she think about a life where she had kits with Firestar?
What if Ashfur thought of a life with Squirrelflight?
I don’t like the idea of her coming back to life, but I would like if the was some sort of place after.
It’s hidden away, and the only way for the cats to go to Starclan is for someone outside to find it and break the barrier between the two places. (This place would be a dark forest like place.)
If this does happen I would think Spottedleaf and Bristlefrost go to Starclan, and Ashfur goes to the dark forest.
Maybe Spottedleaf went to this place, but Ashfur and Bristlefrost are still sinking deeper and deeper into the water.
I would like some more connections.
Maybe in the newest arc Frostpaw finds herself in a place with the faint spirits of those who have died two times / died in the dark forest.
You may say your opinions on this, but please be respectful.
to me it was an act of desperation. Not in like a bad way, but in a "If I'm going to die I won't focus on what I was robbed of, I'll focus on what makes me happy- the idea of a future with rootspring" It's not willing a new reality (Though I'm 10000000% down with that) so much as a rejection of the one she had and a choice to die not dwelling on that. I also think Rootspring probably didn't get a real memory or anything- just that in their moment of desperation they both landed on what they really wanted- each other. Difference is Rootspring didn't end on that thought, he had to live with it.
There used to be another tunnel besides Starclans and Dark Forests, I think I remember reading. What if that third tunnel is where the permadeath cats go
What if she's seeing the future. Rootspring might bring her back somehow. ShadowSight has a connection to the shadows and that can be finally useful for something. He did sense something of her
I really love talking about ideas like this lol- I haven't seen a lot of people in the warriors community that like this kind of thing so this video is really cool lol
(although to be fair I probably I think about these things too much and I'm going to end up giving myself an existential crisis sdjgkbhblksfjf)
I think when a cat fades or is killed a second time, they are reincarnated into a kit with vague memories of their past life. In the next arce there might be some mention of Bristlefrost being reincarnated in one of Spotfurs kits with mention of Cinderpelt being Cinderheart. Which ever of Spotfurs kit is really Bristlefrost will mention that memory in front of Rootspring. I think the authors killed of Bristlefrost so they can do something with that ides in the next arce. But that’s just what I think, I shouldn’t get my hopes up.
Not really about the video but dang Akira!! Your art has come a long way, I have always loved the little parts of these videos, such as said art improvements over the years as you grow as an artist!! Keep on going, you're doing great!!
"I don't care that you don't have money."
- Akira
Sheesh.
i want her to turn purple and say “i always come back”
the dark water teleports them to the radio area from hfjone and when you go there, you see the thing you most desire: like how bryce saw stella, airy saw the plane, and texty saw kittens. so bristlefrost saw her having a life with rootspring because thats what she most desired!
IT- IT COULD HAPPEN!!!! >:[
ok actually thats impossible :[ well, a hfjone and warrior cats fan can keep dreaming…………
Wait Like Cinderpelt died then was Cinderheart later on, well what if Rootspring was a cat who died back in the books and became Rootspring and same with Brislefrost, and maybe they did have kits back then!!!
When something happens in a book or movie that I didn't like, I daydream what I wanted to happen. And I do it so often that it does become what happened "so to speak" Is that what you were talking about Akira?
We found shrödinger's cat: it's bristlefrost, yay
Watching this at 1am, and I literally have no idea what’s going on, i am so confused.
Maybe Bristlefrost washed up somewhere because of her undying love for Rootspring?
If Warrior Cats wants to copy the Marvel multiverse, then I'm done reading it
marvel doesn't own multiverses? they're a pretty popular idea throughout fiction, or at least have quite a few niche works of about them. i can understand not wanting warriors to include it but it wouldn't necessarily be copying 😭
I know who these characters are but I have not read the books with Bristlefrost or Rootspring. I already know what happens on this ark.
Never before have I thought I'd be gaslit by a dead cat
If bristlefrost does come back by some miracle I want her to be a darkforest cat that let the darkness consume her and maybe in the new books she’ll become a side kick to the bad guy and the conflict will be the protagonist trying to get her back to save the clans
I know this might sound crazy but, what if as Bristlefrost fell through that lake she saw an alternate universe where the event of her dying never happened. Let's look at multiverse logic in other stories, Spiderverse. In Into the Spiderverse a bunch of dark matter is released from the collider. The dark lake that Bristlefrost drowned in is possibly dark matter with the fact that the Dark Forest was sucked into it. So just like when og Peter Parker saw a bunch of different universes when his head was put into the collider's releasing dark matter, Bristlefrost saw another universe where she was alive and married to Rootspring. So, what if Ashfur opened a portal to the warrior cats multiverse when he destroyed the Dark Forest and created that lake. It could also make sense with the Jayfeather time traveling thing because apparently time travel exists in Spiderverse with Gwen saying she was thrown into last week at the beginning of Into the Spiderverse. So, since time travel exists in warrior cats, then maybe multiverses could too. Since Starclan, The Dark Forest, and the Living World are separate dimensions, that could also lean into the fact more that there are multiple universes somewhere in the vast expansion of the lore that is Warriors. And Bristlefrost only saw one of them.
I feel like there are two alternative worlds one were she lives with rootspring and has her kits but they end up with the same fate the drowning so the worlds collide together and they see there alternative realitys
I personally haven’t read the book, but I feel like Bristlefrost MIGHT still be alive. It’s very unlikely. But I feel like she might have gotten out of the water after the cats left get dark forest. But Rootspring’s power isn’t strong enough at this point. So all he got was that vision of him with Bristlefrost with kits. I feel like it would be something that would happen in the future.
Yeah correct me where I am wrong
I hope so... I feel like a stronger writing decision is to leave her dead, but I don’t want that. It was too sad to see all those cats disappear forever, reincarnation or not :’d
the water receded completely and her body/spirit wasn't underneath it
