You are so right, 1984 was when everything good happened!!! I graduated highschool in 1984 and my Hobie 16 was built in July of 1984!!! I'm an old fart as well at 55 years old but I'm forever young!!! This was a really cool build. I too had a first R/C car, heck I still have the thing, a Nikko Magnum, and it does have that buggy shape, so cool and so much fun to play with. Good job on the build and the Revell products seem to be pretty nice, gonna have to pick up some of that glue. To get into tight spots, I put a dab of glue on a toothpick but I wouldn't have to do that anymore with that bottle of glue.
Over an hour? How can I be expected to watch for over an hour?!? OK, I watched it. In one sitting. I wasn't disappointed! Thanks for the info on the paint as well!
LOL, don't worry, I build fast to get the videos up. As long as you are having a good time, that's all that matters. One day, or one year, just keep having fun!
Beautifully built. The early AMT kit was that quality. As kids we built what we had. These days at 61 i enjoy building these much more tha modern or retooled kits. Also even with its chassis, and interior misgivings the kit is packed full of options. Its much better than the curbsides offered now.
Another great build as usual! Bronco is a standout! Color looks like it matches the box art. Thanks for taking the time to show us this kit and demo the paint! You Rock. 🛻👍🏻
A "Three-Fur" kit. That's one more "Fur" than usual. I'll call it a bonus and get it ordered. Thanks again for finding us this unique kit - oh, and the build was great.
You said about hand painting to help keep your hands steady ,I know that deal I am going on 61 and hand painting things help's a lot.I also now use a lot of craft paints now for models after watching you use them.So it goes to show your never to old to learn something Chris, keep up the fantastic work you do.I also now use Gel pens on the models now. Thanks for all the great tips.
Excellent build and presentation Chris! Thanks for the review of the kit and Revell paints and glue!! I have been looking forward to seeing these products used!!
wow that dune buggy is a blast from the past. Had that back in the 80s. IIRC it came with a trailer and chevy pick up. Also had the combo kits with the pick up and Motorcycles and mini bikes. Remember them having are tires, but they were hard plastic and came in halves that snapped together with prepainted white letters.
Love this combo kit! It's nice to see the buggy and the trailer are so simple to put together and from experience I like using the Revell paints and glue.
The dune buggy came with the typical Revell Chevy pick up and was called Sandman. Was molded in yellow back then. Great build and video as always. Thank you.
That kit turned out great Chris love those new revell colors have to find something since testers has gone out of business thanks for the review on the paint 👍👍
I love the Revell paints. I work with the aqua color and enamel ones for 5 years now and I'm really digging the coverage of the enamel ones, some of the aqua color ones are a bit difficult but I guess that is the case with most water based ones. I mostly had difficults with the coverage of the aqua color gold and brass etc. but that's the same with Vallejo and Citadel, there I use the enamel ones
Great job, you make everything look so easy.... thats the sign of a true model making artist 🎨 Gotta love the 3 in 1 kits ! The artwork on the box is beautiful ✌😎
Yeah! I saw my neighbor with their grasshopper and my parents got me the Raider Pro because it had independent suspension and I loved the yellow wheels. So many memories!
What method do you have for stripping chrome and old paint? Thanks for the awesome videos. Love this build. Grow up with rail buggies . Hope this kit is available soon.
Hey brother. I get so much enjoyment out of watching you build models. I just recently picked up the model building again myself and then having a lot of fun with it and have learned a lot of amazing techniques from you and your videos and I am very grateful for that. I just finished the liberty Walk Nissan skyline GT-R and I will tell you what that model is a model I would love to see you build.
Great looking kit Chris, I don't often comment but I do watch your vidz. I'm curious to find out if the needle on the Revell glue blocks up, I've tried other glues with that kind of applicator in plastic and they clog up quickly and are hard to clear. Also glad to see you using their acrylic paints.
I've always used this revell glue .. the only thing I dont like about it is when the tiny straw blocks up. Then I have to find something to unblock it.
@@alancolenso1254 that's a good idea.. ive had the blockage further down.. had to get a strand of copper wire and push it all the way through.. I work on car electrics so the copper wire is easy to get.. but your pin idea is great
I build models but I don't have a workshop so I prefer to use acrylic paint rather than enamel on my own builds I have used the revell emamel before and yes with a little stirring it can be used straight from the tin It's the drying time that is why I now use acrylic paint more
wow this is a nice kit. the trailer alone is worth it. kit trailers are hard to find. only thing i dont like with any kit is the extra plastic you have to trim off.
I can't stop binge watching your videos....very inspiring...thank you.
I binged his vids as well. Funny, in the beginning he reviewed equipment and only did kit reviews. Glad he switched to builds.
Thanks for watching!
Me too 😂
why would anyone dislike this video? Great build.
The internet is full of angry people.
We're still gonna have FUN!
Thanks!
@@hpiguy That's the spirit! New subscriber.
They are too lazy to get of their butt and phone and actually build it for themselves
Haters gonna hate!!!
I can’t wait to get home to watch this one! I’ve been excited for this kit.

Yellow is one of the hardest colors for me to work with. Looks great. TY.
Yellow is my curse color, something always goes wrong but I got lucky on this one!

Absolutely Stunning!!! I can not wait to get my hands on this kit! Fantastic build and video as always!! I can't wait to try that new glue also!
Thank you so much!!

Great job again. I just built the same bronco but with the full top. They reused it for this kit I recognize the parts

Amazing work on all three kits!

They came out terrific! Also the Revell paints look pretty good.
Looks like a nice add for the stash! As far being old...... Ha Ha Ha..... I wouldn't mind being 44 again 😊 keep keeping on my friend.....👍

Did you like the combo of the Rustoleum primer with the Revell paint?
No issues as you see in the video, nothing reacted poorly.

Amazing work, definitely need to get one when the release! Only thing I gotta say, I saw the grill upside down and had to double check that lmao
Gotta get me one or two of these as well!! Got plans for a wild Bronco!! It won’t be a tow vehicle anymore!!

awesome buggy, i have a kyosho triumph and a ton of tamiya buggys.

Another very fine video Chris👍👍
Thanks for watching!
The upgraded RC10 looks good and who doesn't want the new Ford Bronco :) 2 door for me!
Thanks for watching!
Also I find that Tamiya acrylic paint is very good
The revell ones can be a bit too thick at times and need lots of thinning down
Great Build.
Thanks for watching!
I love this one!
Thanks for watching!
Nice build!!
Thanks!
I am not a car modeler but that looks a very sweet kit to build Chris. Always like the design of dune buggys too.

I remember building the buggy and trailer but not with the Bronco way back when.. was it with a pickup orginally?
I think so.
Have you ever did a Ford Bronco to look like Big Oly ?
Great work also.
I prefer the revell blue glue. It’s my go to. I’m very new to the thin glues. I was a humbrol guy but it goes yellow.
Mine was the Tamiya Grasshopper....and away I went with a 30 year hobby.
Yeah!
I saw my neighbor with their grasshopper and my parents got me the Raider Pro because it had independent suspension and I loved the yellow wheels. So many memories!
What music is playing? Very pretty!
You should definitely check out the 1960 starliner model by AMT. The detail and cast quality is pretty great

A soak in Super Clean will remove chrome fast, and paint overnight.

That's how the kit was made in 84
