"Over the past 10 years, gender ideology has rapidly swept the nation, largely via hijacking the gay rights movement, and under the guise of kindness. Understandably, Democrats were quick to get on board. You’re likely here because you know gender ideology and the medicalization of children is in direct opposition to core liberal values: protecting vulnerable children and adults from harm; upholding the rights of women and girls to safety, dignity, and protection of their honors and achievements; holding as foundational the scientific method, including practicing evidence-based medical care; freedom of speech and thought. You know biological reality is immutable and that we cannot continue to throw gay, lesbian, and gender non-conforming/gender-distressed children under the wheels of this regressive, out of control, ideological bus.
We think so too. Something is rotten in the state of Denmark, and we’re Dems, or recently ex-Dems, or newly politically homeless former Dems, who still hold onto our liberal values but believe that our party has veered way off track.
We all share a common concern: our Democratic representatives, and many of our liberal family members, friends, neighbors, relatives, icons, and organizations are supporting and promoting a harmful ideology and shutting down necessary discourse on the topic of gender. Remaining incurious about the sudden rise in adolescent girls and boys seeking to escape from their bodies, the dangerous and disturbing realities of “gender-affirming care,” and the irrational elevation of gender identity over the biological reality of sex, is neither ethical nor sustainable."

Just "supported" DIAG 😊 The more of us Democrats that voice our concerns with gender ideology the more of us will join in. We have to stop the bs intimidation that leads to self censorship.
And, unfortunately, we (gender-skeptical Dems) are the ones who are going to get the most heat. It's easy to dismiss a Christian nationalist who thinks there are two immutable human genders as just another reactionary against what's new.
I grew up gay in the 1970s in the Bible Belt. Now I'm an old white 'cis' man, the archetype of evil in Wokeville. It's interesting how similar these experiences are in too many ways. The Woke are very much like the self proclaimed 'Moral Majority' of the Reagan years. Humorless, self righteous, claiming the moral high ground. They could make or break a politician in many districts. 'Woke' is very much like a religion as many people have claimed. If we part ways with one of their beliefs, we're a heretic and treated as morally inferior, right-wing monsters.
We gays and lesbians eventually gained mainstream acceptance by coming out. Very slowly at first, but then it gained momentum. The consequences 40 years ago were very much like facing the Woke cancel mobs of today. People could lose a career, family, friends. I knew many people who had to move across the country to live in more accepting environments. Myself included. At first it was shocking when a high profile person came out publicly but eventually it wasn't even newsworthy. Nobody cared anymore.
I don't know what we might call the red pilled liberal movement but there are more voters registered independent than Republican or Democrat. The more we 'come out' and stand our ground, the more others will be inspired to do the same. Eventually, the shaming and bullying will end. Just as the McCarthy Era red scare ended, just as the rabid homophobia of the 70s and 80s ended. It's already becoming safer to speak of these liberal taboos openly.
I fault no one for staying in the closet when so much is at stake, losing a job is quite serious. I'm retired so I only risk the loss of friends by speaking my mind. For those who are able, the time to speak up is now, especially on this gender nightmare and the medical experimentation on children.

Writing a Substack article now with reference to this important video. These courageous Democrat ladies can shift the Overton Window on everything. The need to be seen as "nice" and "caring" motivates so many of the good people on the Left who are unfortunately dangerously wrong on so many critical issues.

The “anonymous” women here are examples of truly strong women and MOTHERS above all else. I pray they find a pathway to understanding and peace.

@@weouryourthem Yes I've been through it with a spouse that goes with the flow and I had to be the loving but firm resistance. It is very hard to stay married when values differ to that extent. I did what I believed is right and tried to stay in relationship.
The NSA has all the IP addresses and the names of everyone involved in the group. They would use the information if necessary. That is another important reason to get reformers in Washington.
Heartbreakingly personal. I applaud these ladies' courage. I am FIERCELY independent but live/work in a very blue area of the country and the groupthink can be incredibly stifling...

**Someone one said to me "Don't let ANYONE manipulate you into thinking you're a bad person." I remember that advice when i hear of these stories of (most especially) liberal groupthink. "Good" people come in all shades and stripes AND political tribes

My views of John Oliver and John Stewart totally changed as well. I had learned so much about DEI and gender theory that when I saw episodes from them on these topics it made me see them in a completely new light-as propagandists instead of a source for quality information. They are essentially “Rush Limbaugh-lite” with humor.
I think they are some of the do gooders who want to be nice and inclusive to a fault
Have you gotten to the point where you realize they're as wrong on every topic as they are on the ones you know better about?
Or do you think there's something different about how they treat just _these issues?_

I urgently recommend *everyone* but especially the guest I was paraphrasing watch _All Things Reconsidered_ by Boghossian et al. which is available on UA-cam for your convenience.
It says a great deal that these wise and thoughtful guests feel that they need to appear anonymously. I have to wonder how freely they will be able to advocate for a more sane approach to gender identity issues. Of course, there are all sorts out there who would call them transphobes, but how can they advocate "moderation" and "reasonableness" when they have to be anonymous?

Sorry, are you equating gender ideology and "COVID mandates"? Seriously? Also, the format, with 3 women staring at their computers while people off screen talk? For an hour? It's like those "reaction" videos, where you watch some person you've never seen before, react to a song they've never heard before and smile or look surprised. OK, but why?
I clicked over to your channel to see how it's supposed to be done, but it seems YOU HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO CONTENT.

@@miroirs-jumeaux It's called the "comments section". I made a comment. BTW I do have content but it's ancient (about 2010). I don't work in the energy business but I do support sustainable energy. I've never been to the Moon but I do know Neil Armstrong went there. Why does it matter whether I am generating content? I'm in the audience, generating comment. I thought my comment was helpful. This is a deadening bore to watch. Would have been fine as audio only. (Yeah, I know. I could ignore the video and just listen, they way I do with zillions of other pods). Point is, if you'd had your guests (from DIAG) on video, it would have been easier to watch.
