Haha..My great pleasure.I actually didn't think of this move at the time. I accidentally put the plate in that position and found it to be a very good choice. And my teammate mitaocat asks you to pay attention to her on live. Otherwise she will be very sad.→_→
Amazing gamble by the Dr. I have a few observations on the video: -Originally, Red was also threatening to join the field with the crossroads. Pretty much it was a coin flip for the field. That was until yellow placed the next farmer. It's not a threat to join that farmer, it's an insurance: if Red gets the crossroads (but not the straight line), joining the farmer on the right is not longer usefull, as it also joins a yellow farmer. If yellow gets the crossroads, of course he will join the farmer on the left. -When Red creates the other "entrance" to the field, that is not yet the main field. They do get a bit of better chances to win the field, but it's not "getting any of these 2 tiles". Of course, one way to win the field was getting the straight line, but joining on the bottom with the crossroads would've only given 6 points to red (9 of the field minus 3 he already had). To join the big field wihout the straight line, he needed to connect with a dorito to the 9 point field, and join the 9 point field to the main field with the crossroads. So one connection was a 50/50 and the other one a 25% (a little bit less, since there are few tiles left and we have to consider conditional probability, but I'm lazy).
Excellent idea to make a series like this! And brilliant move indeed, I was live commenting on this match. After seeing this move, I was in disbelief for a few seconds. And after a few seconds in silence, I expressed my admiration for finding this move in one word: WOW!
Could have yellow tried to win the big shared road by placing their 1st roaded triangle above the attempt of the field connection by red? So that in the event where red does get the straight road yellow can overtake that 14-point road and maybe use their last meeple to score some more points elsewhere. Not sure if this plan would increase yellow’s odd, though... but it is a neat ideia :D
Neat idea! If Yellow were to do that, though, he might as well just drop a farmer on the outside of the curve of the ccrr to connect into the 24-point field, rather than the 14-point road.
I find this move) My rating in BGA was 701 in maximum. But if not for the title of the video, this move looks arcade at first glance and is not striking

Great move and I guess it will be a huge contender for the best move of the championship!
Oh, I'll have to make a poll after I've released all the "move of the week" videos!
Milk it for content!! (Totally in favor!)

@@AlexeysCarcassonneChannel yeah, that could work as well! Or maybe do both :P
