It's oddly satisfying to see you start getting the hang of things. I was still learning things there after 15 years. But some people just stick to the basics and call it good. But I'm an explorer.

its become a routine of mine while I clean to look up funny secondlife videos, yours are great keep it up. I never have played the game but I find it so interesting lmao.
You can't do it to yourself, but to cure hiccups, offer them a dollar if they hiccup again.

Holy moly, Second Life has been around for twenty one years. That's crazy to think about, I was still in middle school when this hit the market.

Thank goodness you finally got Firestorm.
First, we rez, we don't spawn.
Second, we pretty much categorically loathe voice, so pack it in.
Third, maybe you have a premium account, which gives you $L300 a week, which could be some of your money.
Fourth, there is a magnifying glass in the bottom bar that will allow you to search.
I LOVE your videos, and would be so thrilled to run into you in-world.
God. I cannot believe the avatars and sims haven't improved even a little since I last logged in years ago.
They have improved tremendously, but we are still plagued by people who think it's OK to wear the stuff from 2003 in 2024.
Yep what Noot said. Lot of cringy people who don't know you can upgrade to newer stuff. Usually it's people who are older and/or have been on Second Life since the very beginning
@@KittyHatProductions It drives me crazy because I've been here 14 years and I am constantly customizing my avatar or improving on it, making experiment avatars, improving on them, etc. It never ends... Then you've got Mr. or Ms. 18 year old account over here who have no mesh on , ruth hair, look like phillip Linden and they log in every single day, on an I3, 1ghz or less processor, some nvidia 700series or less card, complain that all of us are lagging them with our beautiful avatars, complain that people treat them different because they look like a shriveled up husk, etc, as if it's not their fault. LOL

I used to be addicted to Second Life, like 2005-2017, and stopped when it got boring.
I was there tons from 05 till 07 roughly. What happened? Just fewer active users? It used to be so much fun!

Ive tried to join the pickleweasle, but I am always kicked as soon as I join because 'age violation'. I gave up. 'm not sure when I'll be able to join.
I just started SL myself (last week), so far the game can be summed up in three words: Horny Old Americans :') Do hope to try gaming and the rp scene next! XD
Try finf Grid Ride nights, lot of cool and fun people there who explore SL together.

I'm surprised that second life people haven't migrated to VRchat. In VRchat the faces animate, and the arms and legs move. It's so much more immersive in VR.
U need a shorter hair to make friends. Pple in secondlife hated people with long flexi hair.
Firestorm is NOT better than the official viewer currently, as they take a long time to update and fix errors, in addition, the official viewer already has PBR technology, emojis and much more and Firestorm does not yet; Firestorm was only good in the past when it was called Phoenix Viewer, nowadays people only recommend it because they are too lazy to learn how to use another viewer and not because it is better. Firestorm just has some functions that are easier to find and that are a little more hidden in the official Second Life viewer, that's all.

Official sucks, the interface is awful and as far as I know it still can't properly use all available VRAM which is nuts.
Also if you want PBR the Firestorm PBR beta is available, works great.
@@lemagreengreen It might be up to comp what you have. In mine comp FS runs like crap and official one gives me very nice graphics and nearly no lag. Yes it lacks few features what FS has but for me they arent more important than beautiful scenery where I can take even snapshots what doesnt need photoshoping after. I can also build and landscape fine ine official browser. So I think what browser to use is greatly up to what comp you have. FS is good for ones - official one is good for others. You just need test it out.
Honestly I know a lot of people won't like me saying this but second life players are probably some of the nastiest people I've encountered online in 25+ years.
IDK, within 6 years i have met only 2 nasty ones and few stupid....

It's cuz a large majority of the people in second life are either super autistic or deeply insecure.
@@XxxX-cv7mh I wouldnt say majority, how it seems to you depends whom you socialize and where you choose to be/go. Yes there are groups and places where you meet this kind people more often but there are groups and people where you never meet them. SL is really big and there is freedom to choose.
