Thanks 😀 👍. I know it is high impedance, about 3000ohms. I was using an audio transformer, but I don't have that any more: ua-cam.com/video/tL6UkzGb7xo/v-deo.html
This reminds me of a time not-so-long-ago when I had more than one acquaintance who would stack one CRT television on top of a larger, cabinet-enclosed CRT t.v. so they could get a working picture from one and working audio from the other. 🤓
I love it when the subtitles come up and say [Music] just in case you hadn't noticed 😊 Seeing you use the plastic tube made me wonder if you could use the old tin cans and tight string approach 🤔
Yes, I use a new needle each time. For little videos like this where I am only playing a few seconds, I would probably use the same needle if I did several 'takes', but no more. Thanks 😀 👍
Interesting. I would think that the sock may remove some of the higher frequencies, including surface noise. So that may well be why the sound quality has improved as well as the volume reducing. 🤔. Thanks 😀 👍
Yes, that would work. I have tried using my phone with it to play music via a Bluetooth speaker: ua-cam.com/users/shortsXzrSdtL4oFs?feature=share Thanks 😀 👍
Its: LENA - SCHOTTISCHE (MEWES) INTERNATIONAL NOVELTY QUARTET Zonophone Serial 5002 If you hunt back far enough there is a picture of the label in my community tab. Thanks 😀👍
Neat! You can use an old tube radio to drive the horn, just plug it into the speaker output.

Yes, I think tight string could be made to work, though it might be quite tricky to set up. Thanks for the idea 😀👍

I really love your videos ❤❤❤
Thanks 😀 👍. I really appreciate it 😀
@@mrrgstuffdo you replace your needles everytime a song ends? I use a modern turntable but i was told thats how it was. Nice video!

Ingenious
Thanks 👍 😀
You’re welcome!@@mrrgstuff
Parabéns meu amigo.
Thanks 😀 👍

Thanks 😀 👍. The soundbox is a modern copy. I take a closer look, comparing it to the real thing, here:

oh ok
Je vois que vous vous amusez bien 😂, mais n'empêche ça fonctionne !
Thanks 😀 👍
Wow! It sounds good! Do yo hear better sound compared with the fake one?
Thanks 😀 👍. I have not done any proper tests, but the tone of the wooden horn should be better than the fake brass horn.
@@mrrgstuff Recently I put a sock inside the horn of my fake gramophone to adjust the sound. It sounds more clear without mixing instruments.

@@mrrgstuff try it and tell me, please
3d print adapter for a smartphone so can play modern music in your shed. 😁
Yes, that would work. I have tried using my phone with it to play music via a Bluetooth speaker:

Mame that tube nine feet with some insulation material in the interior and you got an orthophonic
Yes, longer tube would be better. I think the horn would need to be re-enterent, too. Thanks 👍 😀

What Iron Maiden album was that song from?
Ha! 😅. Very good. Thanks 😀 👍
Put a small speaker in it and turn it into a modern media center.
Yes, good idea. I did try a small MP3/Bluetooth speaker, here:

no bass
The frequency range of these records was quite limited, and there was very little bass by today's standards.
