    Thank you for not only this wonderful workout, but all of your videos. Your humour, also is not really very common in some ballet environments, so thank you for that too! Kisses from Barcelona.

    Hooray! Adding this to one of my repertoires and this has been what I've been hoping for! I love the floor turnout but my head does not so barre versions are always happily received! Also my turnouts have been pitiful lately. Thank you thank you - and 'ello, Watson!

      Lazy Dancer Tips Turnout for what?!?! 😂😂 This workout is amazing and made the rest of the workouts in the list (today was this, feet strengthening and middle splits plus mini barre & ROH practice sets for World Ballet Day) so much smoother. Might make this one a daily with the mini barre, turnouts could always use work for further strengthening my muscle memory. Grazie mille, Maestra! *bows*

    Oh my gosh I love this video. I grew up dancing ballet and I have missed it so much as an adult that I am taking classes again. Struggling with hip strength and turnout so this video is wonderful for me. Thank you!

    This class i will try practice as often as i can. My natural posture is totally the opposite from a ballerina posture. Turn outs are so difficult for me. My knees and ankles are turned inward. My feet are collapsed and i have a lordosis. I am also hypermobile in all my joints. This class will hopefully help me to have a bit more of a normal posture. I love your teaching style!

    Thanks so much for the video Alessia! I've done it for a long time and it's been helping me with my awful rotation 😂😂
    I've got a question, why can't I do fifth position correctly? I've been dancing for over 7 years and still can't do it well enough

    • @lazydancertips
      @lazydancertips  6 років тому +1

      Mariana I'm so happy to hear about your amazing improvements!
      Don't worry about 5th position, I don't have a flat turnout either. We just work with what our body has got. It's a matter of body structure i'm afraid, some people are very lucky some others like us, can work to the best of our abilities :):):) Never stop dancing! This Art is about what you give with emotions, it's not just about body shapes :) Love Alessia

    I love this and your videos!! In your opinion, is it possible to improve your turnout as an adult? I've heard both yes and no. Thank you again!!

    • @lazydancertips
      @lazydancertips  6 років тому +1

      Stephanie, if we ca change the shape of the body as adults we can definitely improve turnout. It'll be harder for us than young students, but nothing is impossible! :)
      Lots of love

    Hi Alessia! I recently discovered your channel, and I absolutely love your videos. I have a question about turning out when your leg is in derriere -- this is something that has been confusing me a lot. I noticed that when you do the turn out, turn in exercise to the back, your hip opens. I do that too, but I was previously under the impression that the proper way to do it is to NOT move your hip. Is opening your hip actually fine? Is not moving your hip even anatomically possible?
    And when I do tendu or degage to the back, my hip also opens slightly. Is that incorrect form? I have very not flexible hips so this has always been a question for me :( Thank you!

    • @lazydancertips
      @lazydancertips  7 років тому

      Hello There! Thank you for your message and your intelligent question! Well spotted! Yes the hip, when working at the back, anatomically will open. There is no way phisically to keep everything absolutely squared. We have although think to be as square as possible, whithin reason, to hold on to the right muscles and stop the hip from wobbling. Have a look at this video, is a very good explanation ua-cam.com/video/ACuVnmS7h9A/v-deo.html Ciao Alessia

    Hi Alessia! I am looking for a video of impoving turnout and I instantly go to your page and here it is! It really helps as my turnout has already improved after one session. But I feel my knee really painful--is it normal? Thank you! xxx

    • @lazydancertips
      @lazydancertips  7 років тому

      Keep sustaing your feet arches and don't over-rotate from the knee down. Use your upper leg muscles, never your lower legs to find the right turnout :)

  • @FluidlyWillful

    Like the chair exercises :) (And no, not because I get to sit down... :P lol I try to do exercises that give that inner thigh a good squeeze, since I think I tend to sink into/use my outer hips for support when I'm bouncing around or kick bagging or whatever else more)

    • @lazydancertips
      @lazydancertips  7 років тому

      Way to go!! Bravo! Keep up the great work and never sit on the chair unless you are done with the routine ahah :D:D:D Lots of love Ciao Alessia

      Hi Juliana, imagine to offer a cup of tea, resting on your heel, as you would with your hands, which means your fingers would be facing downward and your wrists up. Same thing with your feet, your toes pointing down and your heel up. :) Ciao Alessia
