The Mavs are facing a defense like the Wolfs and an attack like the OKC. They have being able to bet both individually, let’s see combine. Gonna be a challenge.

Gafford alone has averaged more block during the regular, and post season. That's not even including lively who is getting better and better each game it seems like.
I think our bench of better and that can make a difference. They have basically Horford, Prichard and Houser didn’t play very much against the Pacers. We have Lively and Maxi, let see if Hardy can contribute. Green will not play very much. Our bench can make a good impact.
Prichard will be hunted everytime he's on the court. I think his minutes reduce. Hardy's minutes might reduce with maxi back but who knows because now Lively is healthy Hardy can come off the bench and give us some good baskets.
Kidd is in genius. There are 10 players that he has trusted. I watched him in the 2011 Finals. We are going to hit ahead every chance that we get. That's how they beat Miami.

You are wrong about Porzingis and his playing streaks. Most of the time he rested on back to backs with Al Horford switching off night. So it wasn’t about his health they just rested him.
If they get normal Luka and Kyrie, they are a real threat.
My biggest worries about the Celtics players who can put the ball on the floor like Jrue, brown,Tatum, and white. And they have perimeter defenders with size like jaylen brown and Tatum

Yeah, the Celtics can all shoot, they can all create their own shots, and they all defend well. The Celtics are 76-20 on the season including playoffs, beating them 4 out of 7 imo would be even more impressive than the 2011 Mavs defeating Miami in the Finals.

Celtics managed to hold Kyrie as the second guy under 25 in 7 of the past 8 matchups. They will let Luka do his thing as Luka has scored 30 10 of 11 times vs Boston in his career but getting Kyrie to fold and shutting down Dallas’ role players will probably be the key.

I think the most significant questions is how can Mavs guard 5 out. Luka will score as mach to win, but they will have to hold them under 100.
Luka will get his stats, and he'll get different looks on defense. Problem is , celtics will spread you out and the Jay's will be feasting in the paint. Pick and pop will be open for Porzingis and Al. Mavs fans dont be surprised. This celtics team by the numbers is historically great. Celtics in 5.

It’s more so how the Mavs are going to defend the Celtics. It’s hard to guard Luka itself because he’s just smarter than any defense in front of him. The Mavs have to literally play tight defense on these guys.

Mavs act like Kyrie and Luka are defense stoppers, they will be exposed. Luka has a slow step and kyrie is just way too small for Boston. You can’t bulk up in a week.

It's just like a conditioned response developed over time. It's like this young guy that used to be a Hotdog vendor outside of Lowe's when I was a Manager for one of their large stores. He was always trying to be cordial to customers as they exited the store. He did this for years. It became a situation that now matter what he was doing (cooking, selling, arranging set-up, etc), the second he heard those automatic exit doors open, he automatically say "How are you doing?" It would happen even if he was bent over restocking, changing propane, ...Basically doing anything. He literally couldn't help NOT saying it. Sooooo, when I was bored, I would just be inside the exit door and would step to open it when nobody was exiting. Without fail l, he would say "How are you doing?" every time he heard the door opened.
He realized I was doing this purposely to mess with him, and we talked about it. I told him that he proves 'Pavlov's Dog' condition was real. He told me he could stop doing it, so we bet. 3 weekends in a row we did this and not once was he able to not say it. It was really funny and he couldn't believe he couldn't stop.
So when Nick says "Alright Issac..." I just chalk it up to past repetitive acts, which turns Nick into 'Pavlov's Dog'. 😉
You guys and your rankings. Who cares about All NBA defense? Which draft pick you were? Which stats you have? It is all about the ability to match your opponent. Luka has maybe 1 matchup in the whole league, who can make him problems: A healthy Kawhi.
Jalen Brown is athletic enough to match Luka`s body strength. But has he the smarts to really make Luka`s life difficult on the court? I don`t think so..
Every year, i wished Luka came more ripped and with a few pounds less in the saison. I stopped wishing that. BC he knows: with the weight and build he has right now, nobody can stop him from creating the space he needs to do his magic. Maybe he runs out of gas in a few games during the playoffs. But he never runs out of space. And that`s everything he needs. Hope it becomes a great series..

As stated numerous times before, Dallas is not the same team before the trade deadline and after the trade deadline.
So looking at the Regular Season between Dallas and Celtics doesn't tell you anything.
But the Celtics are the same team before and after (you could even argue the Celtics were stronger in the Regular Season because of a fit Porzingis).
So let's look at the matchups during the regular season between the Celtics and the teams Dallas just faced in the Playoffs.
Celtics vs LA Clippers 1-1 // Celtics vs OKC Thunder 1-1 // Celtics vs Minnesota 1-1
So the Celtics are 0.500 against 3 of the top 4 teams in the West.
(Celtics vs Denver 0-2, so 0.375 agains the top 4 teams in the West).
Now if you do look at Dallas during the Regular Season against these same teams.
Dallas vs LA Clippers 1-3 // Dallas vs OKC Thunder 1-3 // Dallas vs Minnesota 1-3
So Dallas is 0.250 against 3 of the top 4 teams in the West.
(Dallas vs Denver 1-2, so 0.285 against the top 4 teams in the West)
You can clearly see that the Celtics #1 seed is inflated because of playing in the East.
And their record is not great against the top teams in the West.
Dallas in the Playoffs against these teams 12-5, so 0.706.
Dallas is another animal since the trade.

I remember the shows where there was always a drink before saying Porzingis first healthy offseason. I'm a Latvian and follow KPs career, this show was the first of the Locked On network I started listening too. Since then the Wizards guys and now Karalis, and also some of the other daily shows. Nick has a special thing going though on these podcasts. Great to see Luka in the Finals, it's an awesome step for his HOF career. Hope KP can be healthy enough to have some impact in the upcoming games, we'll see, should be fun

My own opinion about on Kyrie's time in Boston...versus time in Brooklyn...
1. Kyrie was ridiculed by the Celtics fanbase because they think their team is better when he is out. So, of course, If I'm Kyrie, I'm like so you don't like me then...so I jump ship.
2. For Kyrie - i think he was betrayed by the organization. Joe Tsai shit on him so badly.
Hence, good thing Kyrie went to the Mavs...wherein he is loved by the fanbase and loved by the organization. Now, he is thriving.
Kyrie was loved by Boston. Before he got into his own sh*t. Wasn’t his fault for being injured in 2018, and that team showed promise vs LeBron. But then he makes a bad decision saying he PROMISES to resign and of course they will take that to heart, then talks with KD during all star weekend and manages to bail and get injured in the playoffs.
He further creates his own problems by hating on the Celtics entire brand and fans, stomping on the logo and plays bad every time they boo. So Boston fans continued to boo.
Kyrie also matured. Regardless of how those franchises dealt with him he also always ended up in the news for non-basketball reasons. There's been 0 of that with the Mavs. And it looks like he's really found the perfect role for him. He's the #2 guy but the #1 guy doesn't have the experience he has so he can be the old head in the locker room and he's not called on to carry the offense so he's been expending real effort on defense. He's very much the leader of that team which lets Luka just be himself.

Gonna be hostile with Porzingis’s probable return, obviously Kyrie’s third playoff meeting vs Boston since he left, and more.
Whether the duo of Luka and Kyrie in Dallas or the absurd juggernaut led by Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown of the Boston Celtics will win.

Luka - easily, clearly the best player in the series. Kyrie might be the 2nd best, but if not, EASILY the 3rd best. The problem for Mavs is after that. The next 4 are Green Beans. PJ, Lively, DJJ, Gafford need to raise their game. But best player in a series is a huge advantage.
If you don't count defense, yes maybe 3rd or 4th best. If you count defense, all 5 celtics starters are better defenders than Kyrie. It's partially why Boston booes him out of the building, no effort on D.
