I guess lots of non muslims think that all of us muslims have read the Qur’an and know it by heart. But no, like yourself i am still learning the Qur’an through tafsirs and da’wah and it will be a lifetime duty for me to learn. The more i learn the more i fall in love with Islam. So let us all learn together. Alhamdulillah for giving us guidance!

1. Torah - Given to Moses (1st edition)
2. Zabur - Given to David (2nd edition)
3. Injil - Given to Jesus (3rd edition)
4. Quran - Given to Muhammad (4th and final edition).

@Janardhan Parweshwar Islam is the legacy of Christianity that's why you can find similarities in it. Also it has the best lessons from all the previous books. There was no way that Prophet Muhammad (SAW) himself could have written it as he was illiterate. Also to have such striking similarity between all the previous Abrahamic religion is not something he or anyone would have been able to write himself. Because the previous books were not available in Arabic at the time of Prophet Muhammad (SAW). Since Moses (AS) and Jesus (AS) both were sent to the Children of Israel and the Gospel itself was in Hebrew.

@The Rod You said that God judges people by deeds and not by religion. This is wrong, because in Islam we must have two matters of faith in God and deeds. God Almighty said in the Qur’an: I did not create jinn and mankind except to worship and the meaning of worship is faith in God and deeds and humiliation to God so faith in God from logic must be from the religion that It was send to the prophets by revelation in his worship. God punishes a person. Whether he worshipes him or not? If he does good or not, does he abide by his orders and prohibition that he set out in the Qur’an or not and I repeat again not by actions only! God will judge slaves by faith and deeds.

The cousine of the Holy Prophet(PBUH)Jafar Tyyar got the chance to recite a few verses of Surah Al Maryam in front of the King of Habshah named Najashi (Who was a Christian )in his court. 109. On the Day when Allah will gather the messengers, then say, “What response were you given?” They will say, “We have no knowledge; it is You Who are the Knower of the unseen.”
110. When Allah will say, “O Jesus son of Mary, recall My favor upon you and upon your mother, how I supported you with the Holy Spirit. You spoke to the people from the crib, and in maturity. How I taught you the Scripture and wisdom, and the Torah and the Gospel. And recall that you molded from clay the shape of a bird, by My leave, and then you breathed into it, and it became a bird, by My leave. And you healed the blind and the leprous, by My leave; and you revived the dead, by My leave. And recall that I restrained the Children of Israel from you when you brought them the clear miracles. But those who disbelieved among them said, `This is nothing but obvious sorcery.'“
111. “And when I inspired the disciples: `Believe in Me and in My Messenger.' They said, `We have believed, so bear witness that We have submitted.'“
112. “And when the disciples said, 'O Jesus son of Mary, is your Lord able to bring down for us a feast from heaven?' He said, 'Fear Allah, if you are believers.'“
113. They said, “We wish to eat from it, so that our hearts may be reassured, and know that you have told us the truth, and be among those who witness it.”
114. Jesus son of Mary said, “O Allah, our Lord, send down for us a table from heaven, to be a festival for us, for the first of us, and the last of us, and a sign from You; and provide for us; You are the Best of providers.”
115. Allah said, “I will send it down to you. But whoever among you disbelieves thereafter, I will punish him with a punishment the like of which I never punish any other being.”
116. And Allah will say, “O Jesus son of Mary, did you say to the people, `Take me and my mother as gods rather than Allah?'“ He will say, “Glory be to You! It is not for me to say what I have no right to. Had I said it, You would have known it. You know what is in my soul, and I do not know what is in Your soul. You are the Knower of the hidden.
117. I only told them what You commanded me: that you shall worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord. And I was a witness over them while I was among them; but when You took me to Yourself, You became the Watcher over them-You are Witness over everything.
118. If You punish them, they are Your servants; but if You forgive them, You are the Mighty and Wise.”
119. Allah will say, “This is a Day when the truthful will benefit from their truthfulness.” They will have Gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein they will remain forever. Allah is pleased with them, and they are pleased with Him. That is the great attainment.
120. To Allah belongs the sovereignty of the heavens and the earth and what lies in them, and He has power over everything.

44. These are accounts from the Unseen, which We reveal to you. You were not with them when they cast their lots as to which of them would take charge of Mary; nor were you with them as they quarreled.
45. The Angels said, “O Mary, Allah gives you good news of a Word from Him. His name is the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, well-esteemed in this world and the next, and one of the nearest.
46. He will speak to the people from the crib, and in adulthood, and will be one of the righteous.”
47. She said, “My Lord, how can I have a child, when no man has touched me?” He said, “It will be so. Allah creates whatever He wills. To have anything done, He only says to it, ‘Be,’ and it is.”
48. And He will teach him the Scripture and wisdom, and the Torah and the Gospel.
49. A messenger to the Children of Israel: “I have come to you with a sign from your Lord. I make for you out of clay the figure of a bird; then I breathe into it, and it becomes a bird by Allah’s leave. And I heal the blind and the leprous, and I revive the dead, by Allah’s leave. And I inform you concerning what you eat, and what you store in your homes. In that is a sign for you, if you are believers.”
50. “And verifying what lies before me of the Torah, and to make lawful for you some of what was forbidden to you. I have come to you with a sign from your Lord; so fear Allah, and obey me.”
51. “Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. That is a straight path.”
52. When Jesus sensed disbelief on their part, he said, “Who are my allies towards Allah?” The disciples said, “We are Allah’s allies; we have believed in Allah, and bear witness that we submit.”
53. “Our Lord, we have believed in what You have revealed, and we have followed the Messenger, so count us among the witnesses.”
54. They planned, and Allah planned; but Allah is the Best of planners.
55. Allah said, “O Jesus, I am terminating your life, and raising you to Me, and clearing you of those who disbelieve. And I will make those who follow you superior to those who disbelieve, until the Day of Resurrection. Then to Me is your return; then I will judge between you regarding what you were disputing.
56. As for those who disbelieve, I will punish them with a severe punishment, in this world and the next, and they will have no helpers.
57. And as for those who believe and do good works, He will give them their rewards in full. Allah does not love the unjust.”
58. This is what We recite to you of the Verses and the Wise Reminder.
59. The likeness of Jesus in Allah’s sight is that of Adam: He created him from dust, then said to him, “Be,” and he was.
60. The truth is from your Lord, so do not be of those who doubt.
61. And if anyone disputes with you about him, after the knowledge that has come to you, say, “Come, let us call our children and your children, and our women and your women, and ourselves and yourselves, and let us invoke Allah’s curse on the liars.”
62. This is the narrative of truth: there is no god but Allah. Allah is the Mighty, the Wise.
63. But if they turn away-Allah knows the corrupt.
64. Say, “O People of the Book, come to terms common between us and you: that we worship none but Allah, and that we associate nothing with Him, and that none of us takes others as lords besides Allah.” And if they turn away, say, “Bear witness that we have submitted.”
65. O People of the Book! Why do you argue about Abraham, when the Torah and the Gospel were not revealed until after him? Will you not reason?
66. Here you are-you argue about things you know, but why do you argue about things you do not know? Allah knows, and you do not know.
67. Abraham was neither a Jew nor a Christian, but he was a Monotheist, a Muslim. And he was not of the Polytheists.
68. The people most deserving of Abraham are those who followed him, and this prophet, and those who believe. Allah is the Guardian of the believers.
69. A party of the People of the Book would love to lead you astray, but they only lead themselves astray, and they do not realize it.
70. O People of the Book! Why do you reject the revelations of Allah, even as you witness?
71. O People of the Book! Why do you confound the truth with falsehood, and knowingly conceal the truth?

He will say: "Glory to Thee! never could I say what I had no right (to say). Had I said such a thing, thou wouldst indeed have known it. These ayat is directed to the followers of Prophet Isa A.S, the followers of Injil / Gospel..
Allah S.W.T. reminded the followers of Injil / Gospel in the Quran with this verse -
Allah said, "Indeed, I will sent it down to you, but whoever disbelieves afterwards from among you - then indeed will I punish him with a punishment by which I have not punished anyone among the worlds."(115)
Why..? Because this verse -
And [beware the Day] when Allah will say, "O Jesus, Son of Mary, did you say to the people, 'Take me and my mother as deities besides Allah ?'" He will say, "Exalted are You! It was not for me to say that to which I have no right. If I had said it, You would have known it. You know what is within myself, and I do not know what is within Yourself. Indeed, it is You who is Knower of the unseen.(116)

This also shown that Injil was not a copy of the Quran..
Injil was definitely sent down by Allah S.W.T to Prophet Isa A.S. before the Quran was sent down..
However, the original Injil has now transformed into the Gospel, which proven by the scholars, to have been changed, whether added verse, or words, or even removed, by humans..
Fortunately enough, the Injil was never, in any way, sent down for everyone in the world, except, for the people during that period of time, to be exact, the Bani Israel, as their guidance..
The Quran was sent down later as the final complete guidance, to everyone in this world, through Prophet Muhammad S.A.W..
Prophet Isa A.S. has also stated in the Injil -
"There is so much more I want to tell you, but you can't bear it now. (John 16:12 )"
- and continues with a specific description of Prophet Muhammad S.A.W. characteristic in the next verse, as the person who will bring the final complete guidance -
"But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. (John 16:13 )"..
These 2 verse by Prophet Isa A.S., are the connection between both scriptures, the signs of continuation..
