FLORIDA Offshore Fishing | First Timer Full Experience

- Join us on a 10 hour Florida fishing trip with Hubbard's Marina. We depart John's Pass in Madeira Beach bright and early before navigating around 20 miles out into the Florida Gulf, where we spend over 6 hours fishing in waters of 60 to 90 feet deep. The waters were rough and the conditions were challenging, (especially for beginners like us), but we were determined to catch some fish! Be sure to watch to the end to see if we caught any fish or if the rough seas got the best of us.

Everytime I'm in Florida, I want to go fishing. The private tours our out of my price range. So I go on the party fishing boats. I appreciate your time and what this tour includes. Thanks again!
Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to comment! We are definitely not big fishermen, but after this last trip, we could definitely see ourselves fishing much more in the future. As beginners we were a little bit concerned we'd be left fending for ourselves on the party fishing boat, but the crew was so helpful and gave us some great tips on how to catch some fish, even with our limited skill set and far from ideal conditions!

We really did end up having a blast (Skylar included).... but we were a bit worried for the first couple of hours.
That's always our goal...catch just enough for a great meal.

Yes Hubbards is a great trip. We live up in Brooksville so we out on Queensfleet. I love going charter fishing. The dinner cruises are fantastic too.

Brings back memories of deep sea fishing with my grandpa on the Jersey shore. One year he won the boat prize for the most fish. I won for the biggest. A huge Flounder that fell off the hook as I got it over the rail. Luckily the boat crew grabbed it. The secret! Pour a little beer on the bait. Might have been grandpa’s trick to keep drinking beer all day. Not sure but it worked. It has been many years since I went on a party boat in FL. Might be time to give it a try.
Wow you have so many awesome memories to share. I (Skylar) also have great memories of fishing with my grandpa. Ours were just pond fishing in Iowa for blue gill and crappie, and there certainly were no awards to be won, but they were some great memories none the less. We saved the beer drinking on this fishing trip until after the fishing was done... but had I known your grandpa's trick, I surely would have started earlier😂

Thank you! We were a little concerned that with the rough conditions we wouldn't have many usable shots, but we ended up having some really good ones to work with. If I (Skylar) would have continued to film the whole trip instead of fishing we would have had a lot more, but our number 1 goal was catching enough fish for dinner!
hahaha....funny you guys doing that....I was out driving around lately to different locations, trying to see where are good places to fish from shore or a small pier, convenient free public parking, deeper water(not rocky, beach, or shallow), etc.....not much of a boat person, just want to drop the line in every now and then for an hour or two.....
It was a fun (and funny) experience. We definitely forgot how fun fishing can be. We hope you are able to find some good spots.
We are going to try and make the Shelling trip with Hubbard's on our trip this coming January.
If we can get down again in '26 we'll have to look into the fishing trip!

We usually head out to fish while in Key West (if i may mention Fishmonster Charters KeyWest..they are the best in KeyWest and beyond IMO)...Looks like we just found a place to check into while we are in the Clearwater/St.Pete areas now too!
We would love to do a charter out of Key West. I really never thought we'd be so excited about fishing, but after this last trip we are definitely both hooked!

We're glad you enjoyed it and hope you are able to get out on your own trip soon. I guess the banana thing is some sort of old boating superstition... supposedly bad luck. Not sure we're buying it, but we always prefer to err on the side of caution!
I went deep sea fishing in Florida a few times during summer family vacations. The sun was just beating out there. Got very sea sick and heat exhaustion.
Yeah we could see fishing on a hot summer day being pretty brutal. We definitely picked the right time of year... just got a really wavy day!
Dramamine (spl?)...works good for us...those 3ft waves can be brutal!!!
Next time we may have to give that a try. The patches that we used we do think helped, but they also caused both of our eyes to be quite dilated for a couple of day afterwards!
@@Explorcation oh man! Didn't know that was even a thing! The Mrs always make sure that we take some the night before and then another dose about an hour before we head out...
Thats not even close to rough.
I guess everything's relative... but if it's rough enough to put me on the edge of vomiting, then I consider it to be rough 😂
