I know I'm a year late but I suggest you actually draw the bones with each muscle on it as well as write down important stuff he says helps me remember anatomy a lot more
If only Bridgman's students had made the rest of the book as clear as the hands section. Wonder what a book actually written by Bridgman would be like.
it's been one year since you fool hoped for a leg part... i did too.... but in the future... hope for this stopped being and the survivors of no bridgman deciphering for the legs have tried to study how he did legs on his poses... sincerely, hope you wont meet the same fate as us... we were fools...
Thank you for all this great content James! I've tried to study Bridgman's books but couldnt understand it for a long time. You've brought a lot of clarity to the original text :)
I love your work, and your breakdowns are so good, i've learnt more from you than from the bridgeman book which I bought. It's your explanations and how cleanly you draw the examples... simply brilliant. Thanks so much. Keep them coming please. I am SOOOO subscribed 👍
I would love to see you make a breakdown of geometric patterns - its an analysis I haven´t seen anyone do before... like islamic geometry design and viking knotwork for example
Hey @moderndayjames, I've got a suggestion, idk if you've got a lot to do still, but i mean I'd buy it if you did it on gumroad even, nobody really talks about how to approach drawing bird's, be it anatomy or just general rendition, given the details i guess.
These videos are so intimidating but also inspirational.

@@loafofbread5251 I already draw that way.
Just wanted to say, you vids, more than just about anyone else's on the platform, genuinely get me wanting to draw. You are awesome.
studying Bridgman really helped me instinctually consider perspective because of the blocky interlocking shapes. Thanks for these breakdowns!

Bridgman himself made a book about hands titled
A book of a thousand hands
Thats why the hand section is so clear
This deciphering bridgman really really help me improve can't wait for the leg part
oof, i wouldnt get my hopes up. He uploaded the bulk of these videos about a week or so apart. We haven't had an update this entire year...
Seems hes just not motivated to make tutorials as of late. It'd be neat, though, to see more of it. Really like his explaining.

One year later and I still can't draw the leg...
@@Palmirosse kinda happy I found this channel recently 😭😭

watching these videos over and over have helped me a lot undertanding how perspective works and to be more aware of it as well.
hell yeah! Glad they could help you :D
Will any more videos come to this series? I'd love to see some videos focusing on areas such as the *hips, legs, and feet.*
Yes, I just haven't been motivated to make tutorials as of late!
@@moderndayjames we definitely look forward to the rest of the series!
You sir are underrated as hell!

You must roll a charisma check to successfully make this great comment
great videos! love the Bridgeman series! I have all his books but you break them down beautifully! thanks... will share these on Twitter!
I would love to see you make a breakdown of geometric patterns - its an analysis I haven´t seen anyone do before... like islamic geometry design and viking knotwork for example
It's really funny that you bring that up because I've been scripting a video on symbology. That should be done this month
@@moderndayjames wow am I in luck then xDD great, can´t wait to see it
This is the best channel on youtube.
Thank you for this! Bridgman's drawings are a little difficult to understand sometimes.
Is there more? We’ve got faces feet and legs still!
I’m studying hands right now I have a hard time knowing what to draw and what to omit for an appealing drawing
James, thank you today, and tomorrow.
Another great vid mate!!
Hey can you make a tutorial about legs and foot
For people who struggle with drawing hands, it's not that hard once you get the hang of it
Rage Studios 🤔
Once you get the hand of it
I still suck at it so, would you mind giving me a hand?
Or at least help me step foot in the right direction.
helped me understand how fingers bend!!!
Awesome series. I do struggle drawing hands.
loved this video james, keep it up
why isn't part 4 in the playlist?
Hey James, I noticed #3 is missing in the playlist.
daamnn, I wish I have a lecturer like you on my campus bruh.
Sir for your challenge please suggest any source for figure modal reference
very usefull video i hope you will continue this series of video :3
You are a Great help
I don’t think Bridgman was exaggerating the shapes, I think that some of the models he used for his drawings were suffering from arthritis.
