Semaphores were adopted and widely used (with hand-held flags replacing the mechanical arms of Shutter Semaphores) in the Maritime world in the Ninteenth century. It is still used during Underway Replenishment at sea and is acceptable for emergency communication in daylight or using lighted wands instead of flags at night." In addition to this unique detail regarding Xatu, both Natu and Xatu are not only based on Totem Poles and the Oriental Quetzal (the national bird of the Country Guatemala), but also a special type of Ceremonial figurine or doll know as the Kachina Doll. Kachina Dolls were widely used by groups within the Pueblo Tribes and cultures of Native Americans. These groups consisted of the Hopi, Zuni, Hopi-Tewa, and certain Keresan Tribes as well as other within the region of New Mexico. The dolls themselves were made to resemble beings know as the Kachina, who were essentially the spiritual personification of things in the real world usually in nature. The worst thing to happen to Xatu were Aerial battles, forcing X and Y to give it that stupid forward-dipped floating model which we are now stuck with. It's a totem pole, its default pose should be it standing upright on the ground.
I’m not quite sure that heavy duty boots were quite the reason it was so popular in gen 8 RU. Its primary job is to keep stealth rock off the field in the first place, making such an item redundant compared to the residual damage from rocky helmet or even stuffing knock off/poltergeist via not running an item.
Based on all these videos I've seen, it seems Abilities have a greater weight on deciding what ends up in OU than almost anything else. In the case of Xatu, its jump to OU came as the result of acquiring Magic Bounce, which more than makes up for its mediocre stats. On the flipside, we have Regigigas and Slaking, who have amazing stats, but whose horrible Abilities just make them more or less un-viable for competitive play. This channel will alway give me a way to entertain since we have so many pokemon to see that were good or are good are starting to be good or being bad etc
Gen 5 sun teams always amazed me. Ninetales was on life support, Dugtrio was a glass cannon that could easily be taken out if you didn't have very good judgement, and Xatu was essentially a sacrifice slot. Then you have Donphan and Fortress which don't have much presence outside their specific roles. So sun teams basically used half their team to simply put up sun and keep the field clean. Yet despite all this, the sun abusers were so powerful that the other half of the team made the effort worth it.
I would give Xatu Will-o-Wisp to add on its moveset to cripple physical attackers, and have a maybe some moves like Hex, Energy Ball, Aura Sphere and Hurricane
I remember all the way back in Sapphire, where I caught a shiny Natu in the Safari Zone. But since this is a Pokemon obtained in Generation III, it is without Magic Bounce, still a cool catch though. As for Magic Bounce itself, it really turned the whole game of entry hazards on its head, with Xatu being an exceptional bearer of the ability.
There seems to be an item in the Crown Tundra DLC that can give a Pokemon its hidden ability (though it doesn't work in reverse) I mean y'know we don't know for sure yet, but if it is real, that'll be great

idk why but your picture being a baby...chicken? Makes your comment that much funnier to me when you're talking about these 2 bird Pokemon.
Mewseeker stop! She’s already dead!
@@ReventonSpeed It's a duck. I never knew how different the responses to my questions would be when I changed it to a duck.
This channel will alway give me a way to entertain since we have so many pokemon to see that were good or are good are starting to be good or being bad etc
How good was Ferrothorn actually? Im ready for the feature film.
He's going to have to make a whole series
*laughs in Rotom video length*
“How good was Ferrothorn actually?” The movie
@@Neucher correct me if I'm wrong but is that a mothman pfp? :o
@@patrickstar8132 yes
YES!! One of my favorite mons lol thank you!
I would really love to see a Meloetta video! I love her so much, and she is super fun to use!
Gen 2-4: u >u I sleep
Gen 5+: O >O *YOUR RECKONING COMES*
My boy finally getting the love he deserves after months of my failure. Thank you patreons!
We got it!
Ah yes, little natu standing up to the legendary Regirock in gen 7 PU, seems legit
Back in Johto now? So, how good was Ursaring actually? Gonna keep trying.
How good was Xatu actually?
Xatu: If you don’t mind. Let me introduce my little brave, as well. The future of my race.
Natu: *appears*
I just think it’s so cool that little Natu could hold it’s own against Pokemon like Mudsale & Regirock
Xatu freezes in fear cause he foresees humanity’s downfall
Why didn't he warn us not to eat zubats?
I'm sorry but just the idea of diglett being an OU threat is just hilarious
After seeing all the battle animations from battle revolution, It makes ne imagine Xatu just smacking away the entry hazards once it got magic bounce.
I'm so glad that Xatu and even natu got some much-needed recognition. Yay
As much as I like Xatu, I feel like it needs an evolution.
Xatu is probably my favorite Psychic type pokemon, and one of my favorite pokemon in general. Glad he's good :)
I love Xatu :)
Same:)
Awesome improvement
I would give Xatu Will-o-Wisp to add on its moveset to cripple physical attackers, and have a maybe some moves like Hex, Energy Ball, Aura Sphere and Hurricane
Don't Wish wow Xatu in existence
@@Mepphy99 I mean, Gardevoir has it (WOW) why Xatu can't?
@@thekikiofficial because gardevoir isn't a wall
@@thekikiofficial because She isn't a mediocre bulky Wall Who can pivot millions of time
Just big brain play & use psycho shift while holding flame orb. You don't even have to worry about accuracy.
YES, IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS ONE
I remember all the way back in Sapphire, where I caught a shiny Natu in the Safari Zone.
But since this is a Pokemon obtained in Generation III, it is without Magic Bounce, still a cool catch though.
As for Magic Bounce itself, it really turned the whole game of entry hazards on its head, with Xatu being an exceptional bearer of the ability.
There seems to be an item in the Crown Tundra DLC that can give a Pokemon its hidden ability (though it doesn't work in reverse)
I mean y'know we don't know for sure yet, but if it is real, that'll be great

Did a Natu just tank a HJK from Medicham of all mons?
Quad Resist
@@r3io4mf Yeah quad resist, but that's still impressive for a stage 1 mon.
Eviolite
Very Interesting Pokémon to review. Excited to see what it’s capable of!
Idk why but something about cute lil Natu finding an actually useful niche makes me really happy
Sad he didn't upload this on Xaturday
Yeah, that would have been legendary.
But it was upload on the Pkm MysteryDungeon days
Thanks FSG! Very cool.
My best birdy boi
The psychic type that predicts the future
True that! The movepool is good, imo, just the stats that needs a bit of tinkering. I love this birb.
Xatu the pokemon with a hidden Treecko in his chest
Xatu's cry sounds like its saying Noot Noot.
Xatu just shooting up in Gen 5 feels like a past from the past to earlier seasons of FSG
Your “unfortunately” always has me laughing 😂
Me 2. I always wait for it when he's saying it and then I think : ah there it is😂
Congrats on 300K subs
Please do a “how good was Jellicent actually.”
*sees Natu*
Fucking superb, you funky little grape
