- My A* A Level Exam Sketchbook tour/ Art exam book flip through that achieved an A* in 2020 (highest grade). Senior year UK equivalent (I was 17 - 18 years old). This work was completed in the last year of my Art course. For my A level art I was working on exploring mythology and the role of fire within art. I looked at artists such as Rembrandt and Mucha. these are STUNNING. I'm sure I read about an old Rembrandt that people thought was a night time scene but then it turned out it had just been coated in a dark varnish and when it was restored it was much lighter

I did the same thing for my final project at GCSE before starting A levels of ignoring what my teacher's ideas were and they ended up loving it! In the end, you know what you're passionate about and art is so subjective.

I'm about to finish my GCSE art course in under 20 days and I'm so stressed. I'm predicted an 8-9, but I have no clue how. I'm never happy with the quality of my work or the actual theme!!

ALSO, if you see this, did you have to buy the canvas/wooden boards you painted on? They look so good.
Of course you got an A* it's an awesome sketchbook 😁 with amazing work (I know you think it's s**t 🤣) think your being a bit harsh on yourself....A- level art feels like such a long time ago. I didn't do any art since then, until I started the UA-cam channel. So glad I did because I missed it so much 😀💛

I’m taking art a levels in college next year and I’m just wondering is painting like the main part of it or can you choose because I’m way more advanced in pen and pencil than paints and also prefers wood than canvas to draw on
Pretty sure you can as it’s a level are not fine art. Fine art used to pigeon hole people into painting but with a level art you can do more what you prefer

How long does it take you to do your paintings? As an artist I always worry i spend too long on a piece and don't focus on the quantity of work I focus on quality more? Your artwork is amazing btw! 🤩
Wow these are amazing, im debating whether I should take it ary not, with health and social care and psychology, would you say the amount of time you have to spend interferes with other subjects like not getting time to revise on them or not?
