      Because it’s considered on steady state and not from its initial starting point which would have been obviously 0 , after reaching the steady state the inductor has some residual charge in it

    Sir, kuch log inductor voltage polarity change nahi karte hai inductor discharge hote waqt. Aise kyu? Logically socha jaye toh polarity change honi chahiye, tabhi output voltage input se jyada hoga. Par polarity change karne se inductor ka average output voltage zero nahi aata hai jabki average inductor voltage zero hota hai. Koi bhi ye discuss nahi karta.

    When switch is on, only inductor conducts current, why not diode?

    Sir, output voltage won't be zero but equal to Vc (which is again equivalent to V0 for large capacitor) when diode is not conducting. Further way of showing V0>Vs is logically incorrect.

      You are wrong bro, sir is right.
      Out put voltage will be zero not equal to vc bcz when Switch is on at the Coil 's right end will get -ve thru the switch from ground thats y no voltage will comes to out put....!!!
      But the lackness of supply will not evident at the output bcz Switch OFF Switch ON function by the pwm will be very fast in a fraction of micro seconds....!!!

      Buck converter is used in SMPS circuits where the DC output voltage needs to be lower than the DC input voltage.
      The circuit of Buck regulator operates by varying the amount the amount of time in which inductor receives energy from the source.

    Why calculated V avg Instead of V out in duty cycle,
    For buck converter you calculated V out,
    Like as calculate V out for boost too

      V out avarage is greater then vs so this is boost converter

      Because diode is reverse biased and so current does not flow through diode as well as load

    Bhai mere pass 12 volt ki battary he mujhe 24 volt Lena chahta hu boost chonvairtair modulai ko laga kar 12 volt input de kar 24 volt output le kar ise amplifiair chalaaya ja sakata hai ise battery par kisee cheej ka lod padhate hain ya nahin battery kharaab hotee hai ya nahin

    Sir may I know why inductor current is never zero here.( even at start)

      I think this graph is taken at any random time..At that Time inductor stores energy ..so there will be a non zero inductor current..(Innorder to make the inductor zero we have to use free wheeling diode)..so there will be a non zero inductor current...I think so

      The inductor current waveform here is considered from the steady state point of view when it has some residual charge in it . If it were considered from its initial state then obviously it would’ve started from zero and also it’s never zero after reaching the steady state because there’s always some residual charge inside an inductor even after it completes its full discharge cycle
