LNER C12 4-4-2T, LNER J50 0-6-0T and M&GN 0-6-0

The layout is ‘O’ gauge ‘standard’ or ‘coarse’ scale, i.e. 7mm to 1 ft, 32mm gauge. Current collection is by stud contact. All trackwork is scratch built. Locos, rolling stock, signals etc. are a mixture of scratch built, kit built, second-hand purchases and a few commissions.
The layout represents the approach to Stamford East from the south. Because of space constraints, and the wish to create an air of spaciousness for the sake of realism, Stamford East and the Water End goods depots are ‘offstage’. The Engineer’s sidings are modelled, as are Stamford Priory Sidings with their cattle dock and coal yard.
