Guardian Rank literally means nothing when Apex literally has 2 Hour Crota's. Someone who's guardian rank 4 could have a quicker run than him. And that it's the only stuff he does on Destiny 2.
The guy, Apex, flexing his Guardian Rank reminds me of the kind of players in Warframe that flex their Mastery Rank. Both systems are useless in gauging someone's skill in the respective games because both aren't supposed to be used to measure skill. So, when people go around flexing on others over bigger number, they're really just bragging about their checklists being more complete. Like the dunce in the video flexing his GR10 - they're clueless. I've yet to do D2 raids, but I plan to. I stumbled upon your channel watching raid videos to basically observe on what not to do once the time comes. I used to raid in D1 with a raid group so I got some clue, but since I'm playing D2 fresh and solo without my old raid group I'll be relying on LFG to do raids. I guess all I gotta do is not be THAT guy that is clueless for starters, have a mic, communicate clearly and efficiently, shut up and listen to the guy on the team that's done the raid countless times because chances are he'll know what to do. Most important, I'll not join a LFG group that clearly states "experienced" and "fast" when I've not stepped a single pixel into the raid once before.

You look at warframe, everyone is so polite and eager to help and give advice, but those people seem to be a near extinct species in guardian space. The problem is the people that need to learn don’t want to take any responsibility upon themselves. They want to just hop in and put all the responsibility of teaching on the other people. Most of them join without watching a video. They come unprepared and then cry that no one wants to teach. Raids are unlike anything I’ve ever played in video games. You don’t just hop in and vibe it. Do your research and then sign up for a post without requirements. Plenty of posts don’t have a “kwtd” restriction. They could make their own posts. I guarantee if I logged on right not without experience/kwtd tags, I’d have a group in less than 10 mins even looking for 5. There are many options available to people other than joining a kwtd run and expecting to be carried. Most of these people don’t choose them.

It completely depends on the teacher. I did research for my first garden and it helped a lot. I did absolutely none for my first VOG, but the nice man that sherpad me patiently explained everything very well and we first tried all but 2 encounters with 3 new people. They can be taught (or at the very least, the easier raids), it just takes the right mindset from all parties involved

The fact that some people can find a person willing to teach people with zero knowledge doesn't change the fact that logging in and deciding to sign up for a raid without taking 20 mins to watch a video is rude and inconsiderate. And taking the 20 mins to watch a video could potentially save those teams hours in game. There's no justification for it. Someone not putting in the effort to get a basic understanding of raid mechanics is just being lazy and inconsiderate of other people's time. And a lot of these people will use the type of leader you found in your VoG as an example of how everyone should be and if experienced raiders don't do what he is doing then we're bad people. I have little sympathy anymore. Time and time again I get people with zero clears joining and guaranteeing that they won't be a problem and it almost always never turns out to be true. I will not help or feel bad for people that put in zero effort before starting a raid. There are too many resources and you're just being lazy.
