I went through a terrible loss a few months ago and I haven't really been able to take care of myself properly since. its hard to get out of bed, its hard to get in the shower, its hard to brush my teeth. don't ask me the last time I had a healthy meal or mopped. but this gave me initiative to clean up my room a bit and start a grocery order with actual vegetables. i don't have specific reasons why this helped so much but it did, so thank you queen

Also if you are not already doing it plastic draw liners, save the insides keep them clean and white.
I still can't believe Stok didn't reach out to you girl!! I know for a dang fact, their sales increased because of you!!!! I had my fridge so nice and neat and cute, but no one on the house would help me keep it that way! 😢😅 I have a household of 8! I gave up trying! Lol It does help to wash and cut up fruit and veggies in my house. If that part is done already, someone will grab and eat them more often and less waste. I HATE Cling wrap! Mine always ends up being a ball of mess! 😂

You inspired me to be more of a minimalist when it comes to buying things. I started buying in excess, because it conforted me in my times of feeling low, but spending this amount of $ on things that are mostly up on FB marketplace just gave me more work to do. I enjoy selling, so I am focusing more on the joy I feel to declutter, help people get a discount on things they need, and putting my kid's needs first, which I did before, but got carried away with the spending sometimes. The way we eat beets in my home is by making a Costa Rican dish called “Ensalada Rusa” make sure you type “Costa Rica” but it’s basically potato salad with beets super good 🤤
We eat beets on the regular, and we simply boil them! Cut off the stem and simmer until their tender, immediately rinse in cold water and you can use your fingers to peel the skin off. Then slice and pop in the fridge. We usually end up eating them cold. Their soo good in salads with goat cheese.
Beets are good on salads, especially if you add a grain, and a creamy dressing. Also, I forget to eat things if i prep them because I share a fridge with roommates, and everyone is always moving things around. And I agree roasted or baked sweet potatoes are the bomb!
GARLIC HACK!!!! i store my garlic in a baby food jar or mason jar depending on how much I peel with water all the way to the top with no air in it and the garlic stays shelf-stable way way longer. since I have been doing this I have not had to throw out any garlic

I LOVE eating beets sliced on top of a spring mix salad with toasted walnuts and sauteed onions. SOUNDS weird, but it is SOSO good. Dressing is sour cream watered down and then topped with salt pepper. (OR beets with dill and sour cream on their own)
I’ve heard frozen blueberries maintain more of their nutrients than fresh because they’re frozen at their ripest when antioxidants are most available, and they retain the vitamins and minerals that they can lose from sitting on the shelf. You can use a lemon with baking soda to clean the haziness off of headlights. I wonder if that would work on refrigerator drawers as well.
Sarah, can you talk about your kids and screen time. I just wanna hear different perspectives, you know. Is it only on weekends, or anytime as long as their tasks are done. Or go with the flow. Just advice? Thank you😊
we don't have super strict rules on it, and since they don't really have social media it's not been an issue. They can't use screens while they eat/drink unless it's a weekend and obviously if we are in the middle of a conversation or something they know not to take it out. And they aren't free to go leave and sit in front of their computers until a certain time each night. They're off everything by a specific time during the week and weekends.
I really, really appreciated this video! Sometimes it’s stuff you kinda already knew, but you just needed reminded. Even though it’s just my husband and I, it’s 100% true that he won’t wash a blueberry to eat it. 😂 I’m pretty good about prepping fruits and veggies but I’m definitely going to start with prepackaged items as well. I grew up eating a lot of beetroot. We made slice beetroot sandwiches (bread, butter and beetroot), cubed/quartered beetroot on salads, add some slices to burgers, beetroot with some feta parsley and a lemon vinaigrette and maybe some walnuts, roasted beets and root veggies goes well with steak.

I am on a health lifestyle… you are completely right prepping your food or to meal prepping have a higher chance of being eaten then for food to sit in your refrigerator to look pretty temporarily till it goes bad of course lol….. girl on tiktok there is a sweet potato recipe where you cut the sweet potato in cubes or the whole sweet potatoes season them put in oven …cook ground beef place it over sweet potatoes with mozzarella….. giirl so good … pickling is so much fun. I love pickling, red onion, and putting it in a chicken salad or sandwich….. I know that meal prepping isn’t for everybody and everyone’s household is different but for me. I hate thinking too much on what I’m gonna eat for the next few days but I like to freely do a cooking whatever I want day which would be either a Saturday or Sunday. I love the idea of your kids putting what they do and don’t have and what they like and don’t like on a list and that it’s shared amongst everybody so that way everyone would be on the same page. Love it love it….. definitely need to get those containers. I just purged all my old ones that seen better days.😂 love this Vlog look forward to more ❤
have you tried Grillo's pickles? also i reuse pickle brine and simply add extra fresh dill, spices and the new item i want to pickle. let it sit in the fridge for a little and there you have it. i do it with onions mainly and i enjoy them!

I can do things that I need to get done and just have you playing either on the TV (If my toddler son isn't in school) or I'll just put my headphones on and watch you on my laptop. I don't know if you have shown all your cookbooks but if you haven't can you show them. I am trying to keep things simple and easy for me, baby steps lol (I was diagnosed with ADHD in May 2024 at the age of 30 which was last year). Thank you for posting and being me without any problems. You've shown me that it's okay to be a single mom and get things done. Now that you have been in a relationship for a few years now, I'm like when my time comes, it will be great until then focus on me and my son. I am in college working on my bachelor's in psychology, which hopefully will be done in 2026. have you tried Grillo's pickles? also i reuse pickle brine and simply add extra fresh dill, spices and the new item i want to pickle. let it sit in the fridge for a little and there you have it. i do it with onions mainly and i enjoy them!

I use Pinterest to track recipes. I have one section for to track recipes I want to try and another (smaller) board for recipes that were good that I want to make again.
I eat beets that are pickled, usually in a can. Low iron here.
I love this content and the way you set it up! I have been watching you for years and this is the 1st time that I have commented on your video lol. You are one of my top 5 favorite UA-camrs! I can do things that I need to get done and just have you playing either on the TV (If my toddler son isn't in school) or I'll just put my headphones on and watch you on my laptop. Keep making your videos, I love all your videos, but especially this kind of food shopping one. I got back into wanting to use cookbooks and I plan on making some of my homemade ones like you did. I don't know if you have shown all your cookbooks but if you haven't can you show them. I am trying to keep things simple and easy for me, baby steps lol (I was diagnosed with ADHD in May 2024 at the age of 30 which was last year). Thank you for posting and being me without any problems. You've shown me that it's okay to be a single mom and get things done. Now that you have been in a relationship for a few years now, I'm like when my time comes, it will be great until then focus on me and my son. I am in college working on my bachelor's in psychology, which hopefully will be done in 2026. Anyway, lol here I am rambling; do you have any advice, last thing I just started to figure out some hobbies so I can start finding myself and what I like (Your content helps me a lot Thank you for being you!
