Many videos come out of he UK, but yours are some of the best! Your accent (to us Yanks) is lovely and easy to understand but your idioms and cheerful chastisements are so fun to listen to!! I tend to watch your channel when I need some new ideas or feel a little down about my lack of creativity. Thanks for being honest in your videos. Honestly it is a bit of fresh air to know others make mistakes like me.
Oh Marion never apologise, I love watching your videos, you make me giggle when you giggle lol. It all comes across so natural, I think that’s your secret, no bells or whistles. ❤

I like to use powders on wax paper or parchment paper. Sprinkle with a little water and then put down card stock paper over it, give it a little rub then lift.
You brighten my day and put a silly smile on my face! Thank you ❤ Same technique, using nail polish in water is fun, makes some lovely patterns 😊 Oh, and the acetate one takes the prize 🙂

Hi. That was a whole lot of fun packed into an hour and so many lovely cards to show for it so not a wasted moment in there! Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful work and video, I really enjoyed that. Have a great day and I look forward to seeing what other magical creations you conjure up. 😊
Love your long videos, Marion…I could happily watch your videos for 2 hours while having my coffee in the morning (with my cat on my lap 😂)…one thing I wish you would include at the very end is a picture of all your completed cards at once as I like to take a screenshot. I do now, but have to take a screenshot for each card 🥴. Also, is there an easy way to set the mica so it doesn’t brush off? Thank you so much…I am in the US, and you are in the top 5 of my very favorite UA-cam card makers (and I watch a lot of card makers!).
Love coming on UA-cam and seeing your videos. I sit here smiling and laughing to myself, my hubby thinks I'm crazy lol. Love your creativity, don't ever change please, your wonderful 💖
Hi Marion - what a fab video!! I do love playing with alcohol inks, you never get two prints the same. I agree the acetate cards are absolutely beautiful ❤. You never fail to make me smile, no way are you boring Marion, I absolutely love your videos!! Take care , Much love. Ann ❤❤❤
It was loads of fun. I love the way you play with things. I do agree that the acetate worked the best. I wondered what would happen if you dropped the card directly in and pulled it straight out. The same results I think.
Please don’t feel the need to apologize for veering off topic because all your experiments help us learn, too. You achieved great results and made lovely cards.
The acetate was my favorite too!!! I love that!!!! I always wanted to figure a way to make an acetate front panel of a base. Jennifer McGuire did it- of course!
Oh Marion that was great, I've laughed along with you because l do all those things as well, it's so refreshing to have someone real to watch. The cards are fantastic and l agree the acetate ones are my favourite as well. I'm sure you know but a little Brad in the corners adds interest and holds the acetate on really well. Keep up the fantastic work you're an inspiration 'Thank you'. See what l did there, used the words on your cards from today 😂
This was great. I love the acetate and the vellum. If you’d like to use pigment inks, try a binder in the water so they float. I think a ‘marbling paper at home for beginners “ would be helpful for what to use exactly. These are lovely - and fun!

They were my favourite also, we’ll have to get you on the next live and let people know where you are, there maybe a crafter round the corner to you, I hope so, it’s so lovely to craft together, I know as most of the time I’m on my own, so I feel you 😍😍😍
wow Marion I'm so pleased that you shared this with us all, I've not seen this done before with water and must admit I don't tend to play with my alcohol inks very often but I'm certainly going to trying out some these, my faves were they one you did on the velum too the colours really seemed to pop once you added them to the white card base.............beautiful makes.
I’ve added pearls to my paint backgrounds before. I did it in clumps that stayed and just in streams. It will get on your hands after it’s dry so put a fixative over. I bought a Krylon clear that was recommended from another YT creator. I tried it and it worked great! It was gloss but never made it glossy which was great!
Oh! Guess what! I ordered my first alcohol inks!!! I used your code-thank you! I got the 26 and an extra sinker white! I also ordered some grafix kraft plastic from Amazon. A girl on UA-cam, Tiffany Solorio, is outrageously talented with alcohol inks and she highly recommends it. I’ve been watching her here n there for a long time. Not my style but what she can do with even sprays will blow your mind! But I don’t think you are as patient. I don’t think I am either. But thank you for the great videos on alcohol inks! I have wanted these for years! Truly my favorite background technique. Now I hope I’ll get some time to use them! My CP inks are getting dry from not using them! Aaahhh!!!
@@marionemberson I had to help my son with so much money and I don’t have any so I wrote to let’s resin on Friday before they even arrived to return them. As long as it doesn’t cost the price of the inks! They never got back to me yet. The inks came Sat. Things are not good right now. So not much excites me. My sons fiancée is disrespectful to me and he always sides with her. Yes I’m at fault too for lashing back but I can’t stand their lack of respect for me. I just maxed out all debt and gave him every penny and he won’t answer my text. Anyway, so I have to see if it’s feasible to return the inks. I’m returning the little bottles for alcohol ink and Graffix paper, so I’ll have to! Probably cost me almost as much as the inks. 😢
Tip: I bought the WeRmemory makers paper trays a long time ago. I absolutely hated them but couldn’t return them. So here’s the tip. I set them up with a paper towel on each tray to use for a drying rack. I can pull the paper towel to get them out to check if they’re dry or whatever and it protects the acrylic.
Your playing videos are the best my friend. 💜 I wonder if you use a mix of alcohol & water for the die reinkers, if you’d get more of the results you were going for. Great video.
Not sure if it’s already been suggested but was the channel you saw Myriam’s Nature, by any chance? Even if not, she is definitely worth a watch! Love watching you experiment, thank you 😊
Just a thought. With dye based reinkers, what if you poured rubbing alcohol in the tray? Would they dissolve in alcohol because they’re dye? That would be a fun technique with alcohol and alcohol inks to try in the tray. Just a thought.
@marionemberson ok sweet lady I gave it a try... the acrylic ink sinks in the water however I got the same looks as you did using reg cardstock the alcohol inks. Didn't get around to the photo paper yet. I tried it on vellum and it didn't work the same,I ended up with one color that stained it. I did notice that it didn't matter if the water got muddy whatever ink i dropped in that is what attached to the paper. I didn't try with acetate so that and photo paper I will try another time. It sure was fun to see what would happen❤️
Ok, I’m excited to see any video you do. But if ranger works better I’m not gonna be happy! I waited years and years to buy alcohol inks and just ordered let’s resin! Btw, I heard on another YT channel that their micas are great!!! I checked those out too. But didn’t buy.
The Ranger inks gave more vivid results. I much prefer it. Nice vid, though. I wish you had spent more time with the Ranger. It would have been interesting to see what would happen if you put the mica in 1st, then the AI on top. Thanks for the vid. But you really underrated the Ranger product.
I liked that they gave different results, I got frustrated with the Ranger ones as mine are so dried up and blocked, not Rangers fault, but I’m not in a financial position to purchase new ones 😢😢 I also liked the other alcohol inks purely on price, I like the idea of mica first 🧐🧐 thanks for the feedback Mary 🥰🥰🥰
I bought Zsokas alphabet does that were this “disco” style she calls it. They’re great! I bought a bunch of words first then she made the alphabet! Lol
These are like the marbling inks except that people probably already have some alcohol inks. If they don't have alcohol inks, crafters should get some because they can be used so many different ways. Skip the marbling inks and just get these.
I wanted to cry when you cut up those pretty photo paper backgrounds! You silly! That’s what patterned papers for is behind cut outs! You could stencil in paste or paint over just a few areas on those backgrounds and they’d be awesome!!! I hated to see you cut them up and hide them.
I could watch you for hours. Love your talent and how you share it with us. And you make me laugh don’t ever think you’re boring us cause you’re not.

Ok, I’m excited to see any video you do. But if ranger works better I’m not gonna be happy! I waited years and years to buy alcohol inks and just ordered let’s resin! Btw, I heard on another YT channel that their micas are great!!! I checked those out too. But didn’t buy.
I really like the let’s resin, especially the price !!!
What if you put your paper in the water first, push it to the bottom, then drop ink on top, then pull up the paper?
Ohhh that’s a good idea, thanks 🤗🤗🤗
Lol
I LOVE your videos!
Thanks so much 🤗🤗🤗
The dye based ink would work better with shaving cream
Ohh yes, I need to revisit that, thank you 🥰🥰
Thanks for sharing I have been watching you make beautiful paper. While watching President Trump accept the honor for running for President 😊😊😊
Thank you, I had fun making these panels 🥰🥰🥰
Thought I’d have a look using your link and the site states it only ships to the US.
Hi Jill, sorry, they do have a UK site but they don’t sell, those on there 😢😢😢🥰🥰🥰
Oh that’s a shame they don’t ship worldwide 😕
When they first contacted me I checked they did, but it seems it’s the alcohol inks that they don’t 🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️🥰🥰🥰
@@marionemberson oh well never mind. I can still enjoy watching your exploits. I will check out the UK site though.
I love to watch you play 🎉
Thanks Yvonne 🥰🥰🥰
I would drop the card on the top and slide it out , I have watched someone do that but don’t remember who
Yes, I think that would look good Dot, thanks 🤗🤗🤗
Thought that was great
Thank you 🥰🥰🥰
I have never seen this technique
It really was a lot of fun 🥰🥰🥰
These are like the marbling inks except that people probably already have some alcohol inks. If they don't have alcohol inks, crafters should get some because they can be used so many different ways. Skip the marbling inks and just get these.
Absolutely, I don’t have marbling inks, but used my alcohol and dye based, I was pleased with the results 🥰🥰
I'm a total pound shop crafter :)
You can get sooooo many things for craft in there 🥰🥰🥰
I wanted to cry when you cut up those pretty photo paper backgrounds! You silly! That’s what patterned papers for is behind cut outs! You could stencil in paste or paint over just a few areas on those backgrounds and they’d be awesome!!! I hated to see you cut them up and hide them.
I just like to make different cards, I was happy with them 🤗🤗🤗
