Seeing the high iso shot of the bear (as well as the AF capabilities in the dragonfly shot) has changed my mind -- I have a Z6-II on order because I've been reading that the low light capabilities of this body far exceed that of the Z-7II. I shoot primarily birds and other wildlife -- not only BIF but small birds as well, and I needed high ISO capabilities to gain high shutter speed. But -- I also wanted the ability to crop in for smaller birds. I finally settled on the 6-II because of everything I read on the internet, but have now changed my mind. My question is this: a bear is not necessarily a fast moving subject (like a bird) so the shutter speed can be a lot slower. Would I still be better off with the Z-6II? Or would the Z-7II give me what I want in terms of pairing low light and high shutter speed? I need to know so I can change my order if need be.
Hi Beverly, there’s no simple answer for this because it depends on a lot of factors; what you consider to be acceptable noise levels, how long/quickly you tend to take while editing your photos, where you plan on using the images (web-only, small prints, larger prints), etc… The short answer is that the Z 6II will give better high ISO quality. But if you shoot raw and take the time to properly utilize noise reduction software/algorithms, then all of the extra data found in a Z 7II file can actually help you get a final image that’s very close (some will say even better) than what the Z 6II can provide. Now this also depends on how much you’re cropping in (the more you crop in, the more NR processing will be needed or else the noise will show more prominently), and also what the use of the prints are for (lower resolution web-use will provide better quality than a very large print). While some photographers require the extra resolution, and are willing to spend a bit more time processing their files when shooting at very high ISO’s, others will want a file straight out of camera that doesn’t need much tweaking. I hope that helps.
Real world reviews have shown the af tracking on the new Z’s have not improved As an owner of a Z7 I am disappointed Nikon have forgot about us and not give us a firmware update, they could easily have passed down at least some benefits from the 7ii’s like longer exposure etc
4:10, add that as firmware upgrade to Z6 and Z7. Sony has it also... 😇 And make the eye AF of 6 and 7 (the “mark ones”) focussing the pupils rather than the eye brows 😉
Being an Ambassador for any camera company isn’t about what Nikon can do for you, but what you can do for Nikon. So go produce stunning, unique images, post them on social media (tagging Nikon), write blog posts about how you created those photos using their gear, create UA-cam videos highlighting what their gear is capable of, and do that over a period of years. And then be able to produce 50 stunning images like the ones in this video in the space of two weeks with almost no notice. Then, maybe, Nikon will start to notice you and will reach out to you. Maybe.
It's funny that they didn't include eye autofocus of other animals than cats and dogs yet. Really wonder, if that's the end of Artificial Intelligence.:))
Hi Samuel! Until Adobe’s Camera Raw is updated, you can edit your Z 7II/6II raw files using Nikon’s free software: downloadcenter.nikonimglib.com/en/products/261/VCNXSP.html
I have recently purchased the nikon z6 ii, but when I use 3rd party flash like godox v1 or godox 860 ii, it doesn't support i-ttl mode, only manual and slave mode works, can you tell me what is the issue, it also doesn't support my ronin sc gimbal as the record button doesn't work on z6 ii, has nikon made a big blunder, or any update pertaining to the same
I’m planning to purchase my very first DSLR which is Nikon D750 along with 85mm 1.8 + 50mm 1.8 G lens. I’m wondering is it still worth to buy this camera considering 5 years old?. The concern I have is from D750 is - 1. Slower AF, 2. Shutter speed 1/4000 which is half the D780/Z6ii/Z5 1/8000. Are these show stopper for D750?. Is Nikon DSLR is going to END!!! Purpose of buying a camera is for taking Portraits, Still, Landscape, Bird, Product photography (learning) and of course my kids. It would be really great if you throw some lights on my concern to make a wise decision.... other options I have considered is Nikon D780 with one of the lens and Z6ii with the kit lens... apart from D780 and Z6ii I have been suggesting to go with D850 with the kit lens. Thank you and looking forward to your suggestion.
If you have budget don't go for d750. I used it 5 years back & sold it. I bought d810. Few years back I replaced it with d850. If you are on tight budget look for d810. No camera will come to comparison in case of picture quality even in 2021.
I bought a z6ii two weeks ago and am positively BLOWN away. I freaking love this camera so much
Thank you for your infoirmation and the wonderful shots from Chris. Excellent photography, lots of great features to learn about the new Z7II. 👍
Excited for my very first high megpix Z7ii..

Thank you for this video!
I like the idea of longer exposure times. That alone is wort the price of updating one of my Z6s.
Love the Z6II - but I really love that coffee mug that Kristian has, I want lol.
Can we please get a link to see the images in this video?
Great tube photo, eric pare would be proud

Is The fraomware update option from snap bridge available for original z6 and z7?
Can the nikon z7 ll offer the option of 2.7k 60 frames per second?
Hi Seans! The Z 7II has the option of shooting at 4K 60p, 1080 60p, or 1080 120p.
@@NikonCanada ok is the nikon z6ii 4k 60p compatible with the Atomos ninja 5?, and if so, and what bit rate?

@@markolwick2223 Thank You Sir, I will try
Please fix the animal eye focus and also please fix the Depth of view in photo mode above the f/5.6

When can we edit raw files in LR?
Yep
It's not up to Nikon, it's up to Adobe 😉 go ask them
It's a workaround but this works fine. node14.com/Public/Blog/OpenNikonZ6IIRaw.aspx

@Earl James off topic
why did not you provide fully articulated screen ?
Because they’re lame
I shoot portrait, should i go with Z6 ii or Z7 ii ?
Either
I would say z7ii because youll get a better resolution
Z7ii for better resolution
Why picture look darker in pc and brighter in z62.... And even in 3400 d nikon
Would like to see the non-ytube picture!
Odd to not credit Eric Pare who has been posting videos about tube shots for years.
Zed not Zee in Canada.
Please and Thank You.
Wow 👍

You have to update the firmware for your V1. I had that same issue and after updating the firmware, it worked fine.
Thank you so much, was very helpful
@@parkviewphotography7529 Thank you so much
It’s not just straps getting in the way 😂 sometimes the camera switches to the evf for seemingly no reason at all
Nikon 2021 and uploading in HD instead of 4K..... really Nikon??

Looks like Apple logo on monitor is covered Nikon logo? If yes, then it means that Nikon didn't cover Apple's ass..
No way he did the whole thing on Camera, unless he means by that the he took the pictureS with the camera. 😂😂😂😂
