  • This healthy tea-time namkeen is made in just 2 tbsp. oil and is packed with nutrients from dried nuts. Goes perfect with your evening chai.

    Ingredients for Healthy Namkeen:
    2 cups thin poha/flattened rice
    1 cup makhana fox nut
    ½ cup rolled oats
    2 tablespoons oil
    1 teaspoon mustard seeds
    20-22 curry leaves
    ½ cup raw peanuts
    ½ cup almonds
    ½ cup cashews
    ¼ cup raisins
    ½ cup pumpkin seeds
    ½ cup sunflower seeds
    salt to taste
    2 tablespoons powdered sugar
    1 teaspoon roasted cumin/jeera powder
    ¼ teaspoon red chilli powder
    1 tablespoon amchoor/dry mango powder
    1 teaspoon chaat masala
    ½ teaspoon turmeric powder

    What can we use to replace sugar... I don't wish to add Jaggery or stevia as well.

    Thank you for sharing such tasty recipe.
    Please let me know how to store it and when to transfer it to a container so that it remains fresh for longer...like after it cools down completely or slightly...and incase if it's saugy after few days...then is it possible to bring back it's crunchiness
    What are the reasons that make any namkeen go saugy after few days..
