Highly recommend The Syndrome Mix, which not only has useful strategies but also discusses how to determine which cause the behavior stems from IN THAT MOMENT - because it may be caused by something different each situation, and this allows caregivers to choose a strategy more likely to be successful. Many don’t realize that multiple syndromes may affect the same individual, and in fact this is extremely common. As discussed in this video, when going over diagnosis and services, clinicians may see symptoms while it doesn’t rise to the level of diagnosis - it IS present and services will still be helpful.
