Aot teaches one thing and it does exceptionally well, it's perspective. In the earlier seasons you hated Reiner, Annie and bertholdt. Later on you hated Zeke and Marleyans. And story goes on. Until the worst thing comes to light, Eren is the anti hero. Just goes to show you can't judge people unless you know entirely about them
You aren’t supposed to judge anyone. Even someone as bad as Eren. Everyone has their reasoning for their beliefs and actions, whether it’s upbringing, genetics, and brain structure.

@@deeegeeekay I did read your comment and I disagree. I didn't say eren is evil just because I can, but I've delved deep into his character. Dude is fucked up. Freedom for him shifted from freeing world from titans to eliminating everyone because they saw eldians as devils. He feels bad for his actions but he won't back down from rumbling. Hes so selfless to save his people from perspection but it's selfish enough to eliminate 80% of population of the World. It's a very easy sentence to say to not judge anyone. But given the context and evidence, you can judge. By your definition I would be bad judging Hitler. But we all know what he did to the Jews. So Hitler is a bad mofo. No doubts about that. Same goes for Eren. Bruh you d suffer lot in life if you don't learn how to judge people. Not the prejudicial judgement, but the one based on facts and evidence. Hope you got what I'm saying. Just ask yourself why Erens closest of friend's wanted to stop him? Because means don't justify ends. His idea of freedom was flawed
@@deeegeeekay nothing in this world is Black or white. Don't take my "Pure evil" comment on face value. Ofcourse no one's 100% evil. But 50% Evil is evil. A person who kills in the night and sells ice cream during the day can't be called a good person. Talking about beliefs, actions and upbringings. Everything that has happened is caused by Eren himself. All of it.
There's only 1 HUGE, GIGANTIC PROBLEM with this show... it is TOO GOOD, it's practically PERFECT (from, scripts, music, directing arts, and voice acting) that it makes you SEE how MEDIOCRE other shows are. I've LITERALLY rewatched aot for about 100 ➕ times already... STILL feels new. Others... MEH. 🙄😏😒

may I ask what anime you watched after AOT , I feel afraid to start another as I don't think I'll find something as engaging through in and through out
That's a great question and it's all down to what you're into, if I remember correctly I watched Death note after AOT and essentially made my way through the most popular shows (which at the time was Tokyo ghoul, SAO etc) but now there's a HUGE amount of options. Death notes timeless and great for beginners, but if you want something dark and fantastical I'd recommend 'Made in abyss', if you like music and slice of life elements, your lie in April is a beautiful series, if you want something darker, Parasite is pretty great, I'd recommend thinking about the genre you enjoy the most and picking out one of the most popular series under that umbrella (since they're usually popular for a reason, whether it be because of the writing or the concept)
All I'd say is if you try a few episodes of something and it doesn't pull you in, feel free to drop it, I've dropped countless series but there's so much out there. Not even just anime but animation in general so I'm sure you'll find something you absolutely love (I personally found myself loving slice of life shows since they were the most grounded but to each their own)

How much do you think the studio change and the production issues and release shenaingans (final season part 3 part 2) affects AoT's popularity right now? After the masterpiece 10/10 that was S3P2, I feel the industry really let down this series. Even though AoT is so popular and was the face of anime, they still messed it up with all these issues. The story is as spectacular as ever (until now) but I do feel like the anime adaptation messed it up and has lead to a "don't care anymore" attitude from many as its better to just read the manga and no care about messed up anime adaptations
Oh I definitely think the franchise took a hit in terms of losing some of its dedicated fans, when something as significant as a studio change happens (especially when most people loved and were familiar with WIT) I'd say it put the franchise in an uncomfortable spot, I'm guessing a lot of people would immediately assume Mappa would ruin the story so theyd switch off there and then, similar situation to what happened with OPM. Change isnt always welcome if it runs the risk of harming the story people have become so passionate about, for sure the early seasons were peak.
