I wonder about something. What about jaguars? Jaguires live in the jungles of Central and South America. The Amazon is an enormous river. So I would think that jagures would be good with water. They are similar to tiger in being large jungle cats. I Googled it. I confirm that jagurws are good swimmers.

Now, she's old and can't always clean her butt fur so we are considering shaving or trimming the fur to keep her clean. Yes, cats can generally bathe themselves, but just like humans, the senior ones can sometimes need some help. Lastly, hairless cats have to be given baths because of the oil their skin produces. However, because they start out young, most of them don't mind and may actually enjoy bath time.

If you start them as kittens and bathe them at least once per week they will get used to it and not be bothered by it. Same works with having your cat in the car. Just take them with you every time you drive somewhere starting when they are kittens. I had a Tom cat named Meow Meow. I took him in as stray and was already about 1.5 years old. He was so chill and was awesome when it came to shower time! He would try to get out of the tub sometimes, but always used soft paws. By far the best cat I ever owned and I do not think I’ll have a better behaved cat. I miss you Meow Meow! 🥲

Scottish Folds are well known to like water.

I caught a stray covered in what looked like used motor oil. Gave it a bath and it was cool with it. It knew I was helping it. Made a friend.
