The build up over 3 games and the weight of having to face enemies that literally do not follow the laws of physics is just so HEAVY. They are so far beyond what you are capable of fighting that the only way to defeat them was to remove their motivation to fight you. Scenes like the hall of mirrors where Albedo is trying to goad Jr. into killing him. And Virgil the villain looking downward with disdain at Virgil the tragic hero, mourning Febronia in the rain. I haven't seen such powerful scenes in videogames ever since. Love the key change at 1:14 for the vocals which had been nearly monotone for the first minute. So subtle and yet so powerful. Kajiura is fantasic.
