'At times I operated without anaesthetic': British surgeon's harrowing Gaza account | ITV News

- A British surgeon who has just returned from Gaza has spoken to ITV News about the horrors he saw, the injured children he tried to save and moments 'he cannot take out his head’.
Dr Junaid Sultan worked at the last fully functioning hospital in the region, which is overwhelmed as the numbers of those injured in the conflict continues to rise daily, now reportedly exceeding 77,000 - of which the majority are women and children.
He spoke to ITV News reporter Martha Fairlie about his experience. This report contains some distressing images and accounts.

Yesterday, I saw an interview with an IDF soldier. His argument for shooting kids was that they blame the kids they didn't shoot back in 2016 for being amongst those who committed Oct. 7th. The "most moral" army in the world is absolutely sick to its core.
It's not just one kid... It's thou'sands of them, including babies and toddlers... It's a geno'cide of people who gave refuge to fleeing je'ws , exp'elled and pers'ecuted by civilsed Europeans!

I have seen a video of a 12 year old boy getting stitches on his arm with no anesthetic so they had him tell the coran while they were doing it. 😢
If we can remember for one second that time we got a bad splinter, a broken tooth, hit the hand with a hammer. How horrible was the pain. Then multiply it ONE THOUSAND TIMES. How the world can sit by and do nothing . . . Incredible.

I worked with ww1 and ww2 vets a while back and can't imagine the pain and trauma these humans are going thru.
Salute to this heroic doctor, despite knowing the risk involved he dedicated himself, humanity is here in everyone heart just need to acknowledge it
Here a some of the things Israel won't let into Gaza : wheelchairs, crutches. oxygen, diabetes tests, medical scissors, maternity kits, toys ( as witnessed by a US senator and a Tory MP)

Thank you so much for what you are doing! I've been doing similar and I believe that everyone needs to keep doing what they can. The combined efforts must surely have an effect? I believe that the US student protests are working. I believe that many people in the US are questioning their democracy and I agree that the fact that governments can so blatantly ignore the majority of their electors is a problem that needs serious addressing.
(Just yesterday, I had the idea of the US becoming more like the EU - with States becoming more self governing. Texas, alone, has a population of 25 million people, which is about the same size as where i live (Australia). Democracy requires education and people who aren't strangers to each other and I think that decisions that apply to such a large population can be much harder to prevent from being controlled by a corrupt elite, if that elite is a small and unapproachable number of people, in a very large population. Anyway, I'm "writing as I'm thinking of the idea" and I'll have to think of where/to whom I can suggest it. Anyone reading: feel free to plagiarise and expand on that idea (which others may hopefully, have coincidentally had)! ❤️☮️
