1st, I love your room. Painting the inside of the table the same color of the walls would help with contrast and show any spiders on the table better. Plus, it'll tie in with the walls and make it a design element. 2nd, as a suggestion to help with all of the lighting glare on the tank on the bench when filming, consider installing a curved shower pole on the ceiling with a blackout curtain. You can keep it closed against the wall when not filming, and it'll be out of the way. But when you are filming, you can open it up and cordon off the filming area. That way, you won't get the reflection glare from the other tanks in the room. Camera Lady struggles sometimes to get a view with all the light pollution, and I think that could really help her out. Happy New Year. Wishing you big, wondeful things for you guys in 2025!
Yes I agree too it would definitely break up the black and when those munchkins manage to get on the table we will be able to see them very well Great idea
Love it! Finally, All the bits and pieces are coming together! Been such a joy watching this whole project coming together!!! Almost time for spiders to make the move! Congrats and glad you and camaralady enjoyed the holiday! Cheers!
The new room is coming along so nicely. I can't wait to see all the enclosures and everything set up. So much hard work but it's starting to look beautiful!!!!
Hey Dave! Really enjoyed this video. Once again, you and Camera Lady make me smile. I loved when you brought her a stool with a big smile on your face to stand on and she looked so annoyed but gave you a little kiss. You’re definitely a lucky man Dave. I just hope I’m lucky enough to have a good wife like her someday. The room looks fantastic man. I noticed there’s a big empty space behind the desk, behind where you’re standing. Could we see a comeback for the world map? I loved the world map and the significance behind it man. The map is your subscribers. Hope to see the Q&A soon Dave. I’ve been excited for it since you mentioned it. Hopefully a few of my questions made the cut. Also I’ve always found it so funny how we Canadians have different names for things than you British guys have. For examples: instead of a Hoover, here it’s called a vacuum. You called the certain attachment of the vacuum “the Henry”, we call it a nozzle. And the list goes on. I don’t know, I find it amusing to hear what you guys call things that we call completely different things in Canada. Much love from Ontario, Canada (which is frozen hell right now but that’s besides the point). -Noah.
I have a great idea for your table, yoh should put your logo on the front, but really big, i think that would look awesome! Can't wait til its finished and you can move all your beasties in. Also Camera Lady, your painting is spotless, you did such a great job, and Dave, your hoovering was...sucky 😂 i can't imagine having to hoover all that sawdust! Great job both of you 👌❤
🎉Happy New Year!🎉 I held my breath while you were painting without a drop cloth! Maybe consider using the shelves to the side of your bench for premier builds - things to showcase for viewers. If this is the angle you’ll be using for future videos, it would be so nice for your viewers to see your beautiful enclosures rather than sling pots off to the side. You might also want to do some tests on lighting and reflections at your station as camera lady has had to contend with this over the years. You might turn off some sidelights or consider a black stage curtain to give you a clean backdrop and eliminate glare and reflections. I also vote for the inside of the table to match the walls for continuity of design and visibility of the runaways. The room is looking AMAZING!!🎉
Keep at it Dave and Kelly. I am looking forward to a video explaining the heating cables as I am building my own beastie room and want to also heat my enclosures and I am taking a lot of advice from your build. Cheers Dave
I love watching this room come together, and how you sweet talk Camera Lady on how much she helps and supports you. So sweet! To satisfy my own OCD though, you get a "Yes please" from me about painting the inside of the desk. The mismatch is a bit of a bother. Hell, underside of shelves too😂Can't wait to see you start your roach shed too and to finally see spiders in the room🥰🥰🥰
Looking amazing. May not be in keeping with the room aesthetic…but a brilliant white for the inside of the desk would show off the spiders so well! The photos you could get would be amazing.
Fantastic stuff Dave, it's almost ready Dave, brilliant idea about the heating, it should be more comfortable for working in anyway Dave another super job by yourself and camera 📷 lady Dave.
Happy New Year! I have great admiration for you and Camera Lady. You both work wonderfully well together. it is so heartwarming. I'm really excited about your new room. Thank you for sharing this build with all of us. All your hard work is coming to fruition. I am happy for you both.
I wouldn't do black on the inside of the table. If you do itll be kinda hard to see slings and spiders on that black background. I would do a lighter color so they stand out. But thats just me. Thanks for the video. Big thumbs up 👍 👌
You have done such amazing job on building the new room really can't wait till you get to add all the tarantulas and other critters you have into the room.
getting to the end PROFF where the new room is almost ready for the big opening. love the way you go around to explain the why amd how . CAMERA LADY you done well. love the idea of a video for the heating ideas for the future hopefully in the near future due to winter coming. many thanks guys and take care---PS HAPPY NEW YEAR😂😂
A happy New Year to yourself & cameralady. 2025 is going to be epic once you finally finish the spider room, it looks absolutely brilliant so far Dave 👏
I bought a second hand Kirby Sentria 2 just for such purposes. Under £200 shipped in mint condition. Vacuuming carpets with a motor driven brush and lot of suction power is close to miraculous on carpets. Only use it for that purpose really. The vacuum itself has a motor drive so very easy to move around. I'm your age and that is one of the best things for cleaning I ever got. In any case there are other good uprights with motor drives like Sebo and such. But try one out, you won't regret it!
Good to see it quickly comming together (as far as starting to be able to start bringing in some spiders, anyway). Reminds me alot of me building a reptile/ cricket, giant mealworm, etc./mouse,etc., breeding room. I think it only makes sense to heat the spider habitats as one would with reptiles. After all, they are also cold "blooded" one could say and most are from tropical or subtropical areas too. Nice to see both of you working so well together. For a minite thought there was a bit of hanky panky going on, then realized you two were just checking the hight of the stepping stool! Happy New Year to both of you and the viewers every were.
WOW, this is just turning out brilliant. What a transformation from a bit of dirt in the backyard etc. To what it is turning into now. Hope you and Camera Lady had a brilliant xmas and enjoyed the bringing in of the new year
Do it outside (or use a dust sheet) you naughty beastie Dave! It must be a devil of a job to get the wood shavings completely out of the carpet tile fibres! Ah, I see you addressed the issue later in the video 😂😂😂
It's gonna look really good with the original beastie room olive and the black shelving and the way you do your lighting and the plants every thing is gonna just POP out at you it's gonna look really really good mr. Dave! Although not sure how mrs.camera lady got away with not being covered in blackboard paint! I'm no painter and would have had that paint everywhere on me lol great video mr. Dave and Mrs camera lady!! Its gonna look really great! Excellent job!
I haven't seen you and Camera Lady since last year😂. Thank you for sharing your building progress. I find it's interesting how different the British construction progress is compared to how the Americans do things. I can't wait to see how you set up your heating for your spiders😊
You guys are so awesome makes me smile I kinda got teared up when you got her the stool she stood out and gave you a kiss cause it reminds me of me and my wife she's so short she has to do the same thing but I'm also short so it's just awesome
In Sweden, we say, "god fortsättning på det nya året", and it means best wishes for the continuation of the new year, dear Dave and Sweet Camera Lady! The 🕷🏡 looks absolutely amazing both inside and outside! 👏♥️
I like the table how it is: a bit of contrast is nice, and if it were black, the visibility of an escaped spider would be very poor. The camera would not pick it up at all unless it was a very light coloured beastie.
Dave and camera lady; It has been such an amazing journey with you this far. I remember you had 100 subs when I subbed to your channel, and I have not once regretted it 😊. The room looks great with the black shelves and bench, good choice. Happy New Year y'all ❤
@daveslittlebeasties COVID lockdown was good for some things, I do miss the lives. I remember when you decided to do the map, you were so excited for all the new members from around the world and now look at you 💜
I've really really enjoyed the build videos Dave but those carpet tiles are murder to keep clean.😁 I can't wait to see what your going to do this year, I wish you and camera lady nothing but success.😊
13 minute mark made me laugh and go aaawwwww all at the same time 😊 you and camera lady are just made for each other and seeing how happy you guys are and the care you show for one an other makes me want to be a better wife to my darling hubby. OK now that the soppy stuff is dealt with 😂😂 let's talk about this amazing new room, you guys have done such a fantastic job with it working your fingers to the bone to get it done and I'm so happy for you both you both should be really proud of yourselves 😃 Can you please please please film the very first spider going into the new room 🙏 As always another great video guys 😊👍
You could probably park a car on those brackets those things it's crazy they don't look like they're very strong but they are very strong when installed properly
I like be able to make my own shelfs and enclosures .. u can make them as big or small and for just about anything.,.Dave and camera lady it's looking good
Will be interesting to see if the heating system works, i have shelfs with heating cables but there on the back wall not underneath, my logic was that they can move away from the heat source also spiders go down to escape the heat, but maybe they will the opposite for you, good luck as always 🙂
I have the perfect remedy for overeating during the holidays. I got the Flu for Christmas and have lost over 1 stone in weight in just over a week. Starting to feel a bit better now though....!
If you ever need to vacuum like this again, use something that vibrates like a back massager and make the floor vibrate, the dust will jump out and you can just have the hoover next to it. Would have been done in less than an hour with no effort. Tools work for you :P
Hi dave and camera lady! Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and New year! Great to see you guys back at it! 😊 Could you please do an in depth video on conditioning males and especially females in the build up to breeding them. I heard some species require a dip or spike in temperatures and/or humidity. This would be a great thing to understand more about. Your videos are amazing and very informative. I think it would look nice if you painted the inside of the desk with the olive wall paint. Whatever you choose it's looking really smart.
I agree and maybe easier to see the spider?
Yes I agree too it would definitely break up the black and when those munchkins manage to get on the table we will be able to see them very well
Great idea
I agree, the olive colour would look nice
I agree. The olive would look really great.
Definitely olive...
Camera lady did a bang up job on them shelves.
Love it! Finally, All the bits and pieces are coming together! Been such a joy watching this whole project coming together!!! Almost time for spiders to make the move!
Congrats and glad you and camaralady enjoyed the holiday! Cheers!
9:16 ohmy😅
Nice colors 🤗 it is cool to have a hobby and the partner loves it also.😎 best wishes for you 2❤

The vacuum is a Henry its the brand 😂👍
@ My mistake my friend, I assumed you were talking about the attachment 😂😂😂👍.
Happy new year to you two !

Wheew! A lot of work. But it will be worth it. Looking forward for things to come.

A happy New Year to yourself & cameralady. 2025 is going to be epic once you finally finish the spider room, it looks absolutely brilliant so far Dave 👏

I agree Olive for the inside of the table. Or a colour that won't camouflage any slings lol
It looks so nice. I'm really excited for you guys!

Happy new year I remember those old days some fun lives too. ❤️
I used these in my old reptile room and found them better than anything I had used 😂👍
Good luck!!! Thank you ❤🙏

As always another great video guys 😊👍
Thank you ❤️❤️❤️
Pleased for you. It’s been a long hard road but the beastie room looks very impressive
Thank you
Looking great!
You could probably park a car on those brackets those things it's crazy they don't look like they're very strong but they are very strong when installed properly
Should have used a tarp.
I like be able to make my own shelfs and enclosures .. u can make them as big or small and for just about anything.,.Dave and camera lady it's looking good
One thing for sure Camera lady works accurately and fast. She’s running circles around you Dave. Lol.
😂😂😂😂❤️
That's one truly amazing place, Dave!
Thank you 🙏
Will be interesting to see if the heating system works, i have shelfs with heating cables but there on the back wall not underneath, my logic was that they can move away from the heat source also spiders go down to escape the heat, but maybe they will the opposite for you, good luck as always 🙂
Paint desk top olive. Black would be tricky to see escapees
It’s all coming together now Dave looking rather good
And pot noodle as well hope you had bread and butter and made a pot noodle sandwich 😋
That was great fun to watch ❤❤❤
I have the perfect remedy for overeating during the holidays. I got the Flu for Christmas and have lost over 1 stone in weight in just over a week. Starting to feel a bit better now though....!
Happy New Year Dave and Camera Lady ❤ can't wait for your website and UA-cam lives from the new Beastie Room 🎉

Yay! Thank you!❤❤❤❤
It’s going to be amazing. Nice work!
Happy new year to you, cam lady and all the little beasties 🤗 Cant wait to see what 2025 brings 😊
Happy new year!!

Same to you!
good job! 👍
Happy New Year Dave and Camera Lady . 2025 is going to be a great year for the Beastie Room and Daves Little Beasties You Tube Channel
❤❤❤
Love the lay out you give me inspiration to do the same kind of room , now I will have to build it lol
Go for it!
Happy new year! 🎉🫶🏻
If you want to really darken the shelves up what about using something like Black 4.0 paint on the front of them?
Happy New Year to you and Camera Lady, can't wait to see what's next.
Happy new year!!
Hi Dave & Camara Lady, how about and insert to go inside the top of your desk with a sliding lid.
Very nice
Hi dave and camera lady! Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and New year! Great to see you guys back at it! 😊
Could you please do an in depth video on conditioning males and especially females in the build up to breeding them. I heard some species require a dip or spike in temperatures and/or humidity. This would be a great thing to understand more about. Your videos are amazing and very informative. But this is an idea is one I haven't seen any where and think your viewers as well as my self would find absolutely fascinating! What do you think?
Have a nice weekend, everyone. I'm looking forward to the spiders moving in.
I do not have a table like you but i move mine in the bath and mist the sides so if they do leg it they don’t get very far
