Firstly, Mr Rovanpera is still the best driver in 2024 ( telling people Fourmaux performed better than Kalle in 2024 is laughable. No disrespect to Adrien ! He is the most improved driver of the season but better than Kalle ? yeah you need to get your eyes checked !!) Secondly, the people in the comments that are saying "Kalle had a better road position" did not watch the rallies at all. Do y'all know despite Kalle had a superior road position advantage, he only used it in Safari ? Sweden he crashed, Portugal he was struggling on Friday. Latvia, Finland and Chile were not also perfect for Kalle on Friday. Kalle won those rallies by dominating Saturdays. I will also tell the "casuals" that Kalle won a lot of rallies by first on the road as well (more than Thierry I can tell you that). That Poland win tells you why he is the best in the world. Top 3: 1)Kalle 2)Thierry 3)Ogier
i wouldve put kalle first because he always had the apce to win, then thierry second because he always did what he needed to do, was consistent all season and thats what won him the championship
I think Elvin did better than Ott this year. They both are in a competitive car, have a lot of experience and have basically the same position in their respective team. But still Elvin just straight up scored more points.
I disagree with it. Ott is a better driver than elfyn this year . Ott took the championship to Japan and was fighting the whole season. the problem with elfyn he has 3 or 4 good rounds after words he had a stinker of rallies . And by the time he fights back on finland or after its too late and damage is done. He did it in 2021,2022,2023 and 2024 and sometimes towards the end errors. This year was his big opportunity to win since 2020 . Even if he's 2nd he wasn't better than neuville and ott and ott took it the final round and was fighting from start to the end. Even the part timers like kalle and seb and even full time driver like fourmaux. My money is on kalle ott and theirry and this year I lost faith seeing elfyn fight for a title
Loved it, especially Colin's ability to try and justify his reasoning. Looking forward to Monte but hoping you get the news site sorted as it doesn't seem to be updating on any of my browsers, still showing 12th Dec as last piece of news???
@@nooaala-turkia5642 Hard to say when u dont really drive for points but Kalle was minutes faster then others again...retirements from 1st place only, two of those his fault or Jonnes.
Kalle by far the best driver of the season. He was a part time "tourist" this season & he was always leading & winning rallies. He's always the big favourite of the 2025 crown.
@@prod.thomas7415 Thierry wouldn't win nothing more than he already did with better road positions like all these 12 previous years. He always had mediocre Fridays. Sundays saved him the title, because he was mediocre on all Fridays-Saturdays of the season apart from Monte Carlo.

Colin's comment about Ott in Japan being "hard to forgive". I totally agree. I can't imagine it will be easy for Hyundai to trust Ott next year..

Watching these 2 giants (David & Colin) have a debate is a treat.
🍿
3:55 Romet Jürgenson almost didn't have any experience compared to Gill. Only two starts before FIA rally star programm

And he didn't cost the manufacturer championship to his team.
100% - Elfyn might not be a winner at heart, but he's a super dependable points factory

Don't forget the deer in Poland and banner in Latvia
Overall its a good List, but some places of the individual ones are something between interesting and almost delusional.

Kinda crazy how Colin is the only one who makes ANY sense of this lot.

Ten best are the ten who scored most points, of course.
En mi opinión, el mejor fue Kalle Rovanperä

Kalle was favored by his starting position. 1. Neuville, 2. Adrien, 3-4-5 Ott, Sev, Evans, then rest.
@hannessalu Kalle can win from any place, Neuville cant.
@@aanttila867 and this year he was crashing from any position, not like Neuville. Rating Kalles performance higher than Neuville for 2024 is nonsens.

Half part drivers SHOULD START first, tarmac rallies last. That simple.
