Congratulations to the fine ensemble, the superb soloist and conductor, also to the unique mobile pipe organ with its phenomenal swell effects, and not least to the magnificent recording technique: bravo: it's great fun to listen to you, as cuckoo and nightingale whir lively through the church ... 🪶
Disappointing - the organ sounds like an electronic instrument and didn't do justice to Gunther Rost's technique; and the orchestra [excellent musicians by the sound of it] were so muted that it was difficult at times even to hear them. Lovely music and good musicians spoilt by a poor organ and strange interpretation.
