Out of all the professors on You Tube, you are the best. Many of the teachers online will not repeat the rudiment or beat the way do so you have to constantly rewind the video to see what they are playing to pick it up. You should be teaching at Juilliard or Berklee. Thank you and keep up the good work.
You are a truly gifted teacher brother Rob!!
This is SO HARRRRD!!! But an incredible lesson. It's like combining everything you've taught me all year into two exercises! Thank you Dr. Beatdown!
It's simple, effective, and more importantly, when used properly, musical. Many thanks for sharing Rob.
started drumming at 12, got solid lessons from some great teachers up until university, at which point I played in bands but never really grew too too much as a player. getting back into playing and growing now at 25, and your videos are awesome man. keep up the good work!
Hi Rob! Its my first comnent here but i am following your channel since this year. Im trying to catch up your previous videos (its not easy) they are all GREAT! I've benn stopped from 15 years and Im getting back on drums. I have learned so much um this 4 months. I really like your videos, they are very well produced, you are very clear and relaxed, and you got a really great feeling! THANK YOU!
Ah, Bro!! Love it! I agree that while there is a huge value, long-term, to doing something like the Rudimental Ritual over foot ostenatos, you're going to spend months (or years) just working it up, and you will never use it on stage, it will only serve to remove technical limitations. This type of exercise is far more accessible for beginner to mid-level players, and can be easily written out for students. The next logical step, in my head, is to play it over a samba, and then a songo in the feet.
What I like most in your videos is that you present really practical stuff and all these drills don’t even sond like drills, they really do sound musical. Great stuff man!!!
You rock man!!!... really wise... thx heaps bro
Great exercises Rob..got your part 1, gonna get this for sure
Another Fantastic lesson ! Thank you, Rob :D
Love this!
Rob comes through again! I was lookin' for something to do tonite. Perfect....!
Always great info. Thanks Rob!!!
Great exercises!
genial Thanks, Thanks, what a lesson! Always teaching Cool things .
This is SO helpful - THANK YOU, Rob!!!
Great way to explain the exercise 👍🏿
This one’s gonna take a while , but I’m gonna have fun working it !
Great video! Your comment, especially your hand development exercises have really improved my playing. You also demystified drum tuning for me. Keep it up!
You're a gifted teacher bro. Thankyou.
Great stuff Rob.Have been going nuts on the only 3 rudiments in 2020 video. Now going to get stuck into this. Sweet.
Great follow up lesson. Thanks Rob
Ahh you made this look so easy.. Just getting the hats without the kick to stay constant and in time through the triplet/parradiddle thing took me a good hour or so!! Still working on getting the kick in there too. This is going to be a big help. Thanks!!
Great exercises. Love your teaching. You explain simple and easy to follow. A big fan for years. Thank you very much.
Nice job, Rob. Basic stuff but so vital to landing beats together b/t hands and feet.
This is one of your best videos for me. I've been looking to connect the feet and hands more now that I feel intermediate level. Thanks ten-thousand times for this musical exercise.
Hey Rob, thanks.
This exercise is perfect! Exactly where I left off.
Been at this for several months. But it coming. Thank you Jim. Hammond la. 60
Thank you, Rob. These exercises, along with those in Part 1 and your related individual lessons (single stroke, double, single paradiddle) will serve as my Shed Manna until end of year.
Still working my way through part 1, but this up next!
Excellent! I actually had started an ostinato of my own, "boom chick b-boom chick b-boom" but these are much nicer, and they are valuable because I get to do a lot of shuffles! Your videos are a tonic during lockdown. Best Wishes!
Love this guy..good instructor
...that´s the reason, I´m always practicing the content of Rob´s Vid´s !!!
Excellent instruction.
Love your videos!! Regards from Spain
Thanks man!👊
The second one is hard man...thanks!
So I've been working through your ostinato lessons, old one and the the new one for the best part of a week. Still just working at the basic 8th note ostinato (not the one with off beats yet), but at the start of the week, I couldn't do a parradiddle with it underneath. Can do pretty much all of it with the basic 8th feet ostinato now. Still getting comfortable at a slower tempo, and have encorporated other rudiments such as your two 6 stroke variants. Feels great, like I've levelled up! Will try the other ostinato pattern soon. Thanks my fave go to UA-cam teacher
Awesome lesson! Thanks so much for these great practice ideas! Now I can bring my feet to Planet Hands too!
Thanks again. I'll hit up the shop very soon. Hey, I am wondering about a vid posted awhile back on leading with the foot. I am wondering if you may consider updating that. Here's where I'm at. I played and studied (a lot) awhile back and somehow moved to a hand dominant type of playing. Lot's of jazz without learning from the old school four on the floor so I lead mostly with the ride. This transitioned into my funk and rock playing where I never had a really strong/dominant foot. Now I am doin' nothin' NO THING without my feet (RF mostly) feeling solid and that (your) previous vid really helped me solidify that. Anyway's I'm sure you are busy and have ideas but just really appreciated that emphasis.
Thanks for making your videos Rob. BEST drum channel by far!
Thanks man 🙂✌🏽
Awesome!!
Thankyou again Rob, always follow you. From India
Just grabbed myself the heavy grooves hoodie from the merch store. When COVID-19 blows over I'll be wearing this at my next gig for sure 🤘🏼🔥
Walter White Wicked🤘🏽Thanks for supporting, man
Great drill👏🏻👍🏻🤘🏻🥁
My master!!
Really nice
Love it. Rob, could you make another video about independence between both hands for intermediate?
Great Lesson. It seems the best way to wood shed is to paradiddle and ostinato while increasing the difference in rhythmic patterns as you progress.
Hello Rob, great video as always, my friend can you give me some advice of how to spent 2 hours of drums practice daily, I'm having a hard time on how to organize my practice time, thanks in advance
Thanks Rob..very funny
you've got new mics! Nice!
WOW.
classic "with the octopus feet "awesome lmfao
Sorry Rob, I have to save this video for tomorrow. Tonight is movie night! ;-)
As long as that movie wasn’t SW ‘The Rise Of Skywalker’ 👎🏽🤮

I've been searching if you have right foot exercise to develop speed and control... Can you give cause I really like the way you give suggestions. It's simple and effective.
thnx...
Hi Rob, thanks for the very nice exercise for the independence! Just to clarify, on the first ostinato you start with singles, but once you get to the accents part, you change to a RRL / LLR patern. Is that right?
Hey Rob, Do you play the new recording custom drums. I have a set in the Surf Green finish with the 5.5.14, 8x14 snare drums. These drums are so amazing to record on. I haven’t played them out yet, But they will be turning a lot of heads. Also great instructional video you have here. Thank you for Subscribing to my drum channel. Colin Cave
As always Mr B, excellent content. Stay safe and healthy.😘🥁🌻

Can you do a video of all of your cymbals please
Great video! What brand and model audio mixer is that behind you? Great setup! Best-Troy

Nice work. Let me know if you want to play drums for one of my songs. Thanks Philip

No more Evans red hydraulic?
Warren Stemphly It’s sitting on one of my other snares. This A&F ain’t goin nowhere.
Good to know, I’m thinking of buying a set for my sons drums. He’s only 9 and has no preference but I love the sound of the hydraulics.
first comment bro

Rob, always enjoy watching your exercises, I just wished you played match sticks instead of the traditional way; it’s confusing at times almost like watching a left hand drummer setup. Nevertheless your videos are beneficial. Thanks for sharing.
Start SLOW!
Relax and Think about nothing, then try to do it.
王泰熹 💯👌🏽
I can't think about nothing, i don't know how to do this.
Alpha Craft Meditation is the key 😏
