This is great advice! I just resolved a lull issue that came from pulling down towards my body instead of towards the ball. It was so bad I almost had to take a step back from golf for a moment but glad we figured it out haha. Keep up the awesome content!
Interesting video Gabby! Golf requires so much daily practice and play to become a great ball striker. There are so many undulations to course architecture that one can never understand too much about ball striking. I find I need to play under pressure regularly in order to become consistent. Practice what I do well and manage my ball away from situations I do poorly in. If you can miss well your 3/4 of the way home to better scores. Next you have to spin the ball well to control trajectory and roll out. Lastly you have to have touch around the greens and on the greens. It’s truly a pleasure watching you adjust your swing as gain experience as a player 🫵😎
I have a consistent pull on my drives which I attribute to me being a natural left-hander who golfs with right-handed clubs. Also, when my shoulder muscles tire I develop a slice. I solved the pulling problem by placing my trailing foot half a foot-length behind my forward foot and the slice problem goes away as the season progresses because my shoulder muscles eventually get back in shape.
Thank you, thank you! Came to UA-cam today just for this short lesson! Shot the round of my life time this past weekend but was pulling all of iron shots. Luckily I didn't need to hit that many irons that day and finished with a 1 under. I was getting too shallow and shutting the face as well! Hopefully some straighter shots are due up for my tournament this Saturday!
i hit the same shot when my club head gets stuck behind my hands, i hadn't been the range in a while and i saw that i was doing this. i've been getting a little bit caught under the plane and even hitting the dreaded S word a few times, back to stressful range sessions 🙄
I feel that too! I have a nasty iron hook that I fixed by “pushing” my hands out. As you said with a shallow shot the tenancy is to close the face. Great drill and tip!
What has helped me is to have a passive left arm at impact but before that at the top of the backswing your right hand should be like holding a tray as the great Annika Sorenstam explained .
One problem I have and I've heard from others that the pull often comes when we are trying to add a little extra power in our swing, "kill the sucker." That probably results in the "super, over the top" This drill can help us address this by not trying to play out of control.
It’s not the power. It’s that the over swinging can cause you to fall back, hit the outside of the ball. Throw timing off. But you can also have those issues with normal speed
Awesome rn that seems to be my only weakness and I was going to find a fix and all off a sudden Gabby appeared and explained it. Can’t wait till tomorrow to try it out!
Weird how this popped up in my feed because I’ve been pulling my short irons lately too. Then started watching all the videos and they are great. True love for the game and 1000x more enjoyable than these other female golf UA-camrs. Keep it up!
Thank you Gabby. I think I am doing the first thing you talked about why I am doing a pull fade. I wonder what you would charge to be my swing coach?😂😂😂
I have been pulling a lot. I get going too fast and I don't concentrate on the whole hit. I am going to try your idea with the ball Infront for a straighter hit. Thank you for sharing beautiful!
If you don’t fully follow thru and you pull. I may be falling backwards a bit. Which also could make you hit the outside of the ball! Keep at it and let me know if it works!!
Pretty much exactly what I did, practiced over exaggerating my finish to make it feel like the club face was pointing at the sky post contact. Imo a lot of people hook cause they turnover too much through the ball
And reason #3 - your lower body moves more slowly causing the hands to outrace them causing a pull or pull hook... Clear the left hip earlier or faster and continue moving it out of the way to finish
@@gabbygolfgirl It was closed club face… I got a lesson from a pro at my club and we tweaked my take away a bit - now I’m drawing the ball with an open club face. 🤣 Just have to get used to the “feel” of an over the top swing that’s actually pretty level. Striping the ball though so overall happy. Appreciate the thought that led me to the Pro. 👍🏼
I’ve never had an issue with hooks or big jerk hooks until this year. It just started. I haven’t changed my grip but I can tell in my finish I am closing the clubface. I can’t fix it.
I’ve had to start doing this. My question becomes. How do we aim more precisely when we are purposely aiming to the right of our intended target. I can’t help but think it’s all guest work and I know there’s more to it
the biggest secret is: when the address plane and the impact plane are the same then it's pendulum(never swinging around the golf course) everything is going in a straight line at the target. Nothing to indicate going crooked whether that's left or right.
Golf is so annoying. Im either coming down too steep or Im now apparently coming in too shallow. How many years until I find the infamous swing plane that actually works
I have to ask how you can see the ball with that hair hanging in front of you? And I usually pick out a spot out in front of me as to where I would like the club to pass.
I get insane loft with great distances 8/10 swings. Obviously I’m cutting under the ball. But man I can get dead on with an 8 & 9 iron at 200 yards. And the ball will disappear in the sky and land 4-5 seconds later on the green. A lot of Par 3’s start as a “Hahaha and end up with a birdie mother plucker! You owe me!”
The energy is infectious.
Simplest explanation, but most effective. Thank you!
My 17 year old and I just practiced this… fixed our hooks! Thanks, Gabby! Great video!
Bright, talented, knowledgeable, engaging, adorable.
You're going to be a great player, coach and instructor someday!
She already is with these videos
She already is !
the sun is not your friend
It’s funny how you’re the youngest golfer I follow, but yet you are the most educated. I applaud you 👏🏼
The most educated 💀. Stick to football rob
You're awesome Gabby. So smart at such a young age. College golf is just a couple of years away. Stay amassing Gabby.

Gabby ...thanks you have most probably explained my problem and given me a fix for same.
Keep these guidance coming !
Bests
This helped me a lot and was simple and to the point
Thank you. This visual of the second ball will help! Will try it when I am playing tomorrow
Gabby I so appreciate the golf tips.
Best lesson I've ever had. Immediate success!
You have helped me with this drill to stop my pulled shots! Thank you 😊
Gabby is a superstar in the making.

Hogan did that.

Gabby I have totally been doing this lately, thank you for the tip!
Let me know how it works!
That’s a very interesting point I wondered how to correct that thanks Gabby your great help
Same miss for me! It comes from an offset timing of getting slightly quicker on the drop from the down swing!
What has helped me is to have a passive left arm at impact but before that at the top of the backswing your right hand should be like holding a tray as the great Annika Sorenstam explained .
You’re a great person ❤️
Such a great page. Keep it up
Thanks you so much!!
Omg. Why have I not thought of this. Thank you 😊
Wow that was incredibly helpful! Thank you!
I have the same problem, thanks for the drill Gaby.
I love your tutorials 🩷
Needed this right now! Thank you!
The educational video I needed. Thank you
Great tip! Forces you to keep your arms straight and close to your body through and past impact.
Thanks for the lesson because I've been pulling shots real bad...🏌🏿♂️⛳️
Nice. Trying this today.
Super simple old school trick your the shot girl

Thanks gabby! Seriously helped out! You’re going to be a legend on tour 👍🙌
She will end up on the pro tour, hands down. Great tips.
I will try this, also with me I feel I get a bit to quick with my down swing which causes me to turn my hands over which leads to a pull or hook.
Awesome rn that seems to be my only weakness and I was going to find a fix and all off a sudden Gabby appeared and explained it. Can’t wait till tomorrow to try it out!

Thank you Gabby. I think I am doing the first thing you talked about why I am doing a pull fade. I wonder what you would charge to be my swing coach?😂😂😂
Or your spin angle is to straight at the start? Setup slight back shoulder down and start downswing with lead hip sliding and turning
Please show foot placement for best swings driving and putting.
Omg!!! I love the music ❤
Lovely swing Gabby
I've got the same problem. These shut face ones go a mile too
Yeah. They go far… far to the left! 😂

Really good short vids. You've got a career ahead of you.👍
🙏
Such a pleasant young lady. Great job!
You have a very smooth swing.
Love these tips
very true !😊
I’m a natural fader, but I’ve been drawing/pulling it left lately. I was thinking closed clubface I’ll give this one a try.
Let me know how it goes

Awesome work, Kid
Yes good advice.
Hi gabby. Great info, but how do I turn that pull into a cut
Open stance, keep that face open thru the shot
I’ve had to start doing this. My question becomes. How do we aim more precisely when we are purposely aiming to the right of our intended target. I can’t help but think it’s all guest work and I know there’s more to it
My pull left is caused by too quick of rotation. I'm slowing my torso/ shoulder rotation to allow my arms time to fall
Pulling also is due to early extension
Hey Gabby, u do a amazing job on your golf channel. I been praying for you
🙏
@@gabbygolfgirl Hey Gabby, u also got lovely outfits and lovely hair
I’m gonna have to try this one
I think I learn more from this young girl than watching golf channel

Do I line up the ball at centre or toe on setup?
Wow, that's nice. I am learning a lot from you. 👌
🙏🙏
Good song choice bro
Good tip!
Your awesome ❤
I notice I'd I don't turn I will pull or hook
That’s exactly what my dad made me do and it worked!

You know instead of using clubs at the range I have been waiting too buy a seven iron
I will try it
Focus on swinging towards the hole is how I prevent pulls.
Under the plane line, not shallow :)
Nurture sight training,maturing outset program.
Looking beautiful cutie as always 🥰
