Fantastic video, thanks ! I managed to replace my screen with its help. A piece of advice for anyone else trying this at home : After your rebuild, if your phone doesn't work at first, don't worry just take it apart and build it again. This happened to me and after the rebuild everything was fine. There is one small error in the video. The screw inserted at 17:01 should not be black, it's a normal silver one. The place for this black screw is at the top of the line of screws leading up from the exposed NFC connection. For another visual reference, It is located in a sort of white "H" shape made from the old adhesive. You'll find it easily at the end of the build so don't worry (the author of the video has inserted a silver screw in its place). Cheers !

It's totally fake..... If a phone display is replaced No matter what the repairer will have to re_download software for that particular phone. Sorry No hate toh.
Plus no one in the right mind would send a phone in that it would just make it more damaged and it’s more common to use boxes

Hey I dropped my Asus rog phone 2 accidentally today and then the screen went completely black, my data in the phone is very important, so what are the chances of my phone not getting reset? Don't worry, just give it to service center
They replace display and touch which cost 16000 rupees
And they will call for ask your screen lock password
Because they will go to setting for serial no. And they will use calculator for check display proper work.
Keep calm nothing will delete ( if you forget your screen lock than they will reset your device after your permission because serial no. Is important for company)

Nope mostly these are the Chinese or so called high copy parts. that's why he connects the display before gluing it to the board, just to check touch part, brightness any weired spots etc. I know coz I do that too

hello my rog 2 had a broken screen I replaced it with a new screen from a dead rog 2 I took the screen and frame and reinstalled my rog 2 on it I charged it it lights up orange and screen turns on with logo of charging and tells me to press power button to turn the device on but whatever I press the phone doesn't turn on can you please help me I hope I didn't kill the phone
edit:(i meant by the orange light the -led light-) but the first 5 seconds i connected the power cable it blinked a red led then went to orange and screen turns on just to show me that its charging and 86% charged and the message i mentioned earlier
