    I love when people modify kits. Yours came out beautifully and I think the simpler lighting looks better!

    I had a tough time with the lights too! The wire kept snapping on me - and other than the sofa, for my first time making a kit, it went really well!

    I bought this exact kit today, got home, opened it and BAM! Bag #4 with the flowers & fabric part of the kit is missing. Kinda disappointing..

    Thanks for posting this. I wondered how easy or difficult these kits were. I didn't want super easy, but I didn't want super difficult. These seem just about right. I know this is an older video, but if you have time for a question, I have one. What kind of glue do they include? I feel like I might need to have extra on hand just in case I use too much early on.

      I dont know what kind of glue was included, but when I ran out of it I used some of that elmer's brand gel glue. The kind that is blue but dries clear. It has held everything great! Hope that helps!

    Hi! May I know the actual size of the wooden floor space? I'm thinking of ordering a miniature carpet for this library and I just want to make sure I get a carpet that fits the space. :) Love the wooden flooring!!

    • @hawj89
      @hawj89  6 років тому +2

      carpet would be cute! just make sure it's not too thick b/c the top of the shelves would be a bit tight of space to add or stack books if you wanted to do that. the floor space is 5.5" in x 7.25" in.

    • @GinaSales
      @GinaSales 6 років тому +1

      Mai Mai Ah yes, you are right. Will assemble the kit first and then decide later on if I can include a carpet or not. Thanks for the tip and for the floor space info!

      I'd say this is a great kit for a beginner. This one was my first kit I assembled and it wasn't too difficult aside from the lights lol!

    May, I ask, what is the thing that you use to paint the floor?, is it just normal brown paint? It looks dope. Love your version btw.

    • @hawj89
      @hawj89  6 років тому +1

      thank you! i used brown wood stain that you can find at the craft store. it comes in a tube ideal for smaller projects like staining a wooden picture frame and stuff like that.

      Hi Brook. The hear from a hair dryer could work. It will help dissolve the glue. Have you built one of these before? I am building mine now. I can tell you, it's a little tricky. I am struggling with the lighting, which is why I'm here. :)

      @@kbarton1360 Thank-you. No, this is my first time and I'm loving it. I watched another video and they actually used different lighting as they thought it was easier. I haven't arrived at that step yet. Good luck with yours!

    Can someone explain how do I know what part is in what bag, instructions on finding the bags is difficult to understand. HELP!

    • @renlish
      @renlish 3 роки тому +1

      There are sheets of paper at the bottom of the box with all the pieces labelled. The numbers on those sheets correspond with the items in the bags. Use them as a guide.

      yeah sometimes i have issues with instructions too and if my live google translate app can't help me and the pictures are confusing, then i just improvise. lol

    • @annuellem
      @annuellem 6 років тому

      I think the instruction book on this one is very good, I am currently on cabinet 5 haha. A little nervous about the lighting setup but hopefully I'll figure it out.

    • @hawj89
      @hawj89  6 років тому

      yeah for me, the instructions were good, but i found the wires for this kit to be SUPER unreasonably fragile and it was sooooo hard to connect the wires to each other without breaking them so hopefully you'll have better luck!

      Open the box and inventory the items. Be sure not to lose anything. It also looks like putting together the "paper" books/decorations/framed pictures was not covered. You could start there, or build the bookcases.

    • @amvisions1
      @amvisions1 4 роки тому

      You can start wherever you like. Take some time on the booklet. Everything is well explained if you take some time to really look at the pictures and all the parts needed!
