Do you guys use one shots in your beats? Or do you prefer VSTs for your sounds?
vst tbh, they already tuned so ye
I like one shots.
I think most people should do both (not necessarily at the same time😃 )
One shots are easier to control for me
I make every sound myself in serum!
Don't forget to turn OFF the 'Cut Itself' function, if you're trying to build chord progressions with one shot samples.

I use both, especially when it comes to chord stabs for house music, I love to load chord stabs into fruity Granulizer and automate the hold button. Great video by the way 👍

I always watch your vids even though I'm an Ableton user. It's cool how some concepts translate. I usually avoid portamento and opt for manually gliding, but I like how you used it here. Might have to work that into my melody sound design more often.

i use them all but have gotten more used to using my sampler to handle my one shots

@@NavieD I use Cubase but yes like Slice X. Cubase has a built in sampler and you can a also use groove agent five as a sampler
