It's not just to make a game look great, the developers can't add that level of detail most of the times due to system capabilities and time constraints, with a system like Nintendo 64 that wouldn't be possible.
thats why it is wished they would be hired to do remakes. With the advancements in tech and space. They could add this level of detail to the original game. Giving it a gigantic face lift and bringing it into the modern age of folks and kids alike. Who seem to think a game has to have hd graphics to be playable. I have heard so many say they can't play or refuse to play an amazing game cause it doesn't have 4k quadruple hd graphics. It saddens me that its becoming the social norm of games. Why i love the games so much. They couldn't do much with graphics. As you mentioned especially with constraints of the systems. So most all the effort went into the game play. I love the deep stories and complex adventures in the old games. As it gives me so much to play. I miss those good old days where as long as it looked like a game and didn't have bugs. You could spend hours playing.
Sadly it seems they pretty much only want people who do these kinds of things to stop doing it since it makes them look bad. Someone was a good way into production of a proper 2d Metroid game after that bad Wii U game, that they would release for free obviously and Nintendo stopped it. Not even thinking of maybe they could just let them finish and if the game turned out to be good they could just buy it before the release and have great new talent at their disposal. They seem like they are extremely lazy when it comes to remakes and only do it if their slate is looking weak. And they're terrible at letting you play older games on their next system. They could easily have a subscription service for 10 dollars a month with their entire back catalog and people would pay them until the end of time. But they want you to pay for the console and game when it's launching after that they will only do something sensible if it cost them pennies on the dollar to make it and have it be released. Like that mini snes with just 20 games, that was overpriced as hell. And they've been really picky about which games they ported from the Wii u to the switch. You can play better quality versions of Skyward swords and wind waker on pc, and they've not even bothered just porting them over when it wouldn't take much and just given them free money. Selling it at full price as they have done with the other releases. It's one of the problems of having Nintendo Japan run the business end, their great at making a quality product but they're not good at selling them or allowing people with better ideas to let them do things that clearly would be profitable and make fans happy. They're kinda like Disney pre Marvel but Disney now seems to understand that people won't mind them building an empire/monopoly as long as they continue to make quality products and have their back catalog work for their benefit and also to get people to go back since not everyone was around when certain things were released. It's like Nintendo doesn't understand that there are kids who weren't born when all of their consoles were new and could get players to go back once they've played their first Mario, Zelda, Smash or whatever other franchise they have. I can guarantee it if Disney somehow one day ended up buying Nintendo, there would be a subscription service with every Nintendo exclusive available, possibly using a combination of streaming and download within the first year. But I doubt anyone at Nintendo Japan will do something like that until the current leadership has to give up their position to the next generation who actually understands how the internet works :p

This was so freakin awesome i played all these games from back in the day and these are outstanding props to the guy who made this and it would be awesome if Nintendo really did this
I don’t know why I’m thinking this but you kept on saying that this game has an amazing amount of detail (which is 100% correct, not arguing), but your videos also have insane amount of detail. Sure you play and talk but it’s what you talk about that makes complex thing easier to understand and that level of detail of the things you describe are impeccable. This video has been up for 1 hour but for some strange reason there is 7 dislikes? Wha-why? What is there not to like? Not only is your voice so (strangely) entertaining but your kind and approach things other people wouldn’t. I’m a huge fan of emulation and what I have on my computer would be nothing if I hadn’t met your channel. Yes, I do have launchbox and yes, I am thinking about getting premium because launchbox is insanely helpful in sorting your games that have been lost in your computer files in one simple, easily accessible and fully customisable environment. I think the reason why I don’t have premium yet is because I don’t have enough money (in just a kid, that’s all) and I need to have launchbox long enough to see if it is worth the £50 (because I instantly got the app the moment I watched your video on launchbox and I’ve had it for a short time (yet I have customised as much as possible from the series to game music)). But I’m drifting off here, what I’m tryna say is some people don’t respect your videos enough to understand the insane thought that has gone through EVERY video you make. So keep up the good work and I wish you get as many subscribers as the amount of stars in the sky (sorry, that why quite cringeful)
Haha... not cringeful at all mate. Actually brought a tear to my eye reading that. Thank you very much for your kind words. Its easy for me to go into detail on some things as I have such a huge passion for anything like his where people get to make the most out of all their games. The devs all do the hard work, I just get to play it all and show em off. But I do understand what its like to have new things, especially more technical ones, not explained in the kind of way just the average guy who loves to play games would understand... kinda like a gatekeeper behind a technical wall. I just like to make content I know I would like o watch adn that I would like to know about things like this. Hopefully others get to learn quicker than I do at the end of it. Watching 1 overly long video saves you spending half a day figuring why or how things work so you guys can use them :D

DankSir ye I noticed that too after a video on why Mario's design looked weird because of the hair and mustache hair detail, basically I have memorised his facial hair
"even official nintendo games don't have that level of detail" that's literally the model from super mario odyssey, and whoever made this made his nose jiggly like a tiddy
DerpySnake >they don't have this level of detail! >barebone lightings >plastic mario >no pbr >bland recreations of the environment from sm64 >odyssey looks leagues better in every way, even if this is using the same model from there I hate this.
You praise this guy way too much. All he is doing is taking existing assets from games and putting textures and effects on it using Unreal, which has a frontend for it's engine which mean it can be created with not a lot of programming required.
@@CCCPFilmProductions If I did anything it wouldn't be based off another company's single most profitable IP so that it gets shut down after all the work I put into it.
@@kotong8090 But he's right it's stolen scripts, models, maps, and textures put together. Sure it took some work to debug and program cut scenes° but one or two stars in Bob-omb Battlefield would be a nice addition. Which I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt on them not doing it themselves. They may have even made a great project overseer that works on meshing everyone's work together. Well...if not for the lack of fully crediting other's work. _I am more impressed with the Zelda boss fight, at least at this time._
I think this guy should use these demos as proof of concept for when he applies for a job at a game company. Just as long as it's not EA or Activision.
The hair particles on Mario look good and the denim textures like pretty good too as well. This guy should totally be hired by Nintendo. I mean it would be stupid not to hire this guy.
@@garnet4253 cryzenx can look good but you are right he doesn't have a very solid art style. From what ive noticed he just uses premade models. I do find it interesting when its put together but I think Nintendo is well on their own with their own art team. The things that look the best about cryzenx's stuff are just the things that the switch can't handle but even then they don't fit too well.
Your specs weren't in the description, though. Also, you realize that these demos are pretty easy to make, right? You just use Unreal assets to plaster some textures around, like the grass texture in the Super Mario 64 remaster. It's not too hard.
If Christian Whitehead can get hired to make Sonic Mania off of fan demos then this guy NEEDS to get hired by Nintendo! They would be stupid not to hire CryZENx
He can't even finish one, because none of the assets are his own, meaning he can't continue unless the creator (which wasn't credited need I remind you) make more than just the known starting areas for the games, whiiiich most likely isn't going to happen, at least they won't make enough assets for the dude to steal and make a FULL game out of
Ok none of the Sonic assets were Christian Whitehead's either when he was making a fan game so my point still stands. Christian got hired by Sega to make a legit game so I'm saying Nintendo needs to hire CryZENx
I did not expect another Earthbound fan here! Well anyways, yeah, it’d be cool if we had a Mother game remade. Probably mother 1, since it’s on the nes.
I was a total Sega nerd too but my first Mario game is and will forever be my favorite and that's super Mario RPG Legend of the seven stars. Oh man what a game. Now I wanna play it again lmao
If you had quarter of a brain, you would understand than this is all stolen assets from nintendo, throwed in Unreal Engine, and putting every effect in. This guy hasn't done that much, other than horrible animations and unfinished/unpolished stuff by himself.
Yeah the graphics do look great but i think there's still alot of polishing to be done before it can be compared to Nintendo's work. The animations look stiff and lifeless and there's empty gaps in the walls / ground ... Idk it feels rushed to me.
Simply Austin It’s odd how you say in two weeks when it wouldn’t take much time at all to rip graphics and models from other games, and using basic textures and the basic unreal engine lighting.
It would have to be recompiled for ARM and packaged as an APK so I wouldn't bet on it. And if you need even a 1050 then it most likely wouldn't give a playable experience with this level of fidelity.
Nintendo, Sega, and whomever else's games that he has remastered, sign this man up to your team (or atleast to do remasters) to do shit like this, i was in awe for every single one, the nostalgia that these bring to me is unsurpassed, take my fucking money 💰

fans all around the world: *create awesome remakes*
Nintendo: *NUKE IT FROM ABOVE*
Wow I'm just amazed on how modern engine can do i don't blame you if you get too excited lol I'd do the same you do you man
That tunnel vision-esque effect would make me motion sick while playing. But besides that, everything else is outstanding!
one word.
*EYEGASM*
I cant believe he did that Mario 64 one in 2 weeks!!!
Nor me! i saw the original a few days ago and i was blown away!
This was so freakin awesome i played all these games from back in the day and these are outstanding props to the guy who made this and it would be awesome if Nintendo really did this
The Guy Who Remastered This Beauties Deserves The Noble Peace prize!!!!! 😱😱😱
Simply Austin, and the fact that u replied, proves how connected to your audience you are. Most youtubers regardless of popularity just post there video and ignore the comments section as if it doesn’t even exist. But the fact that you still interact with the audience proves that you care and that’s something that makes people like me subscribe to your channel. I cannot wait to see how incredibly far you will go in the future and I’m looking forward to being by your side the entire time 👍🏻
Thank you mate. As long as we all get to play all our games and make the most PUSHING THEM TO THE MAX!!! Im just a happy chappy :D
Simply Austin your enthusiasm shines through on every video :)
This is amazing Austin. Thanks for sharing
thank you for stopping on by mate
i played it like when he released it and chatted with him really nice guy he does a great job nintendo should definitly have people like him
Unbelievable, I know what I’m doing tonight, before a hyperspin tutorial of course
hehe... nice way to unwind :D
I really wish Nintendo would just take notes and put these on the switch along with all of the other N64 classics. Idk what is holding them back :/
Emil Vrana Well this is obviously a quick demo but if they took the time and put their hands on it they would probably make it great.
Emil Vrana the sad truth smh
Damn man they should make 007 goldeneye remake that would be cool 😙👌
goldeneye source
damn seeing those games really takes me back
2:41 you know that's the model from super mario odyssey right?
DankSir nope, actually Mario odyssey’s animations are so small limited. (Which is actually sad when you think about it).
Lion The Mood he is talking about models
DankSir ye I noticed that too after a video on why Mario's design looked weird because of the hair and mustache hair detail, basically I have memorised his facial hair
Yes, it's the model from the opening cutscene of Mario Odyssey, individual hairs and all
Lion The Mood models not animations ffs
I love the music in this game it just takes me back!
"even official nintendo games don't have that level of detail" that's literally the model from super mario odyssey, and whoever made this made his nose jiggly like a tiddy
It's not from Odyssey. It may look like it, but it isn't
DerpySnake >they don't have this level of detail!
>barebone lightings
>plastic mario
>no pbr
>bland recreations of the environment from sm64
>odyssey looks leagues better in every way, even if this is using the same model from there
I hate this.
Ok
the creator said that he used the mario odyessy model look at his video on his channel
Garnet please leave greentexting on your Burmese basket weaving forum. Thanks
"The amount of detail"
- Austin
He needs to make Banjo-Kazooie in the ur engine
Also remember this is the guy who did the amazing Crysis 1 photo realistic graphics mod.
2:20 look at those jiggle physics
Mario's nose has jiggle physics and that disturbs me.
You praise this guy way too much. All he is doing is taking existing assets from games and putting textures and effects on it using Unreal, which has a frontend for it's engine which mean it can be created with not a lot of programming required.
then do it
@@CCCPFilmProductions If I did anything it wouldn't be based off another company's single most profitable IP so that it gets shut down after all the work I put into it.
Jacob Shuster so you can’t criticize about anything you don’t know? Put some thought into it Before trying to make a ‘I’m badass’ comment
@@kotong8090 But he's right it's stolen scripts, models, maps, and textures put together. Sure it took some work to debug and program cut scenes° but one or two stars in Bob-omb Battlefield would be a nice addition. Maybe they expect to attract help in doing that though it'll be harder to do due to the lack of crediting all other's work used for this "demo".
°If that wasn't a pre-made script.
2:41 actually that looks like it's been ripped from odyssey
Those nose physics are whack tho. Dem jiggly nose
Incredible. Splendid work, mate
Hi random person scrolling trough the comments, have a great day!
Never lose this attitude! You are awesome :)
Thank you! I hope you have a great day too! God bless. :)
Same to you! MAGA
Have a great day to
U too man!
The hair particles on Mario look good and the denim textures like pretty good too as well. This guy should totally be hired by Nintendo. I mean it would be stupid not to hire this guy.
he did a great job....
thank you
All his magic mate :D
Nintendo needs to hire that guy to make beautiful looking games
Nintendo should hire CryZENx. It's a shame they haven't!
One day..... I hope :D
Crepe Maister
Yeah usually Sega are the people who do that kind of stuff but it would be wonderful to have Nintendo let fans help out
Nintendo is too stubborn to do that but,who knows) maybe one day they will consider it.
They shouldn't...why are people so impressed by plastic visuals and shitty motion blur?? Why is this treated as anything more than fangame quality?
@@garnet4253 cryzenx can look good but you are right he doesn't have a very solid art style. From what ive noticed he just uses premade models. I do find it interesting when its put together but I think Nintendo is well on their own with their own art team. The things that look the best about cryzenx's stuff are just the things that the switch can't handle but even then they don't fit too well.
This is how I remember this game on my first playthrough lol
Damn. If someone was unfamiliar with SM64 or the other games mentioned in the video. They could confuse it with a brand new realistic fanmade game.
hell yeah... and his work is done so fast, not sure how he does it :D
Simply Austin Honestly I would love it if he worked on getting the full game to that kind of standard.
@Essasetic your vids are creepy I looked on ur channel
@@sircubfredericks3304 ???
Still can't believe fans are caring more than the actual companies to remake those games. This is what would sell like hell, best classics!
Your specs weren't in the description, though. Also, you realize that these demos are pretty easy to make, right? You just use Unreal assets to plaster some textures around, like the grass texture in the Super Mario 64 remaster. It's not too hard.
I loved that you could be conker in diddy kong racing. When I was a kid I would never choose anyone else lol
I hope he makes Banjo-Kazooie.
I cannot believe how amazing these remake look! How the hell he did it in two weeks!?
Very nice!
yeah, he made magic! Hows you mate?
Busy busy thats why not many uploads ;) but overall good, and you?
yeah all good mate. Know the feeling of busy.... not enough hours in the day :D
It amazes me how one single individual did all this.
If Christian Whitehead can get hired to make Sonic Mania off of fan demos then this guy NEEDS to get hired by Nintendo! They would be stupid not to hire CryZENx
MrMysterious he has to finish a game first
well you know what they say. Sega does what Nintendon't
@@xdjrunner Nintendo wouldn't let him finish a game XD
He can't even finish one, because none of the assets are his own, meaning he can't continue unless the creator (which wasn't credited need I remind you) make more than just the known starting areas for the games, whiiiich most likely isn't going to happen, at least they won't make enough assets for the dude to steal and make a FULL game out of
Ok none of the Sonic assets were Christian Whitehead's either when he was making a fan game so my point still stands. Christian got hired by Sega to make a legit game so I'm saying Nintendo needs to hire CryZENx
That Amstrad CPC's Robocop music makes me dance all night!!!
Does the beginning have the part where you can play with his face?
hehe yeah, hat would be a nice touch. I atually seen someone else recreat that to... unfotunately not in this one :(
Simply Austin you realize you misspelled some words right? :P
Or was it meant as a joke?
Nintendo can you hire the people that made these and make this happen! Amazing!
Talks about attention to detail.
Walks by blocky trees.
OMG!!! this is absolutely mind blowing!!! can you guys remaster Killer Instinct arcade version!!! Great video!!! Mario 64 looks amazing!!!
His work is jaw dropping! I hope he can remaster well a part of Earthbound or Mother idc it'd just be awesome for me
I did not expect another Earthbound fan here! Well anyways, yeah, it’d be cool if we had a Mother game remade. Probably mother 1, since it’s on the nes.
Praising plastic mario, lmao
I was a total Sega nerd too but my first Mario game is and will forever be my favorite and that's super Mario RPG Legend of the seven stars. Oh man what a game. Now I wanna play it again lmao
Take a drink every time he says "appreciation".
Good Day Austin!
good day mate!
I hope Nintendo hires this dude and he can make it full on, they can easily sell this for 30 bucks or more.
WOW. THIS. LOOKS. AMAZING!
yeah, magic was made today with his work
wind and light/shadow effects lookin soo good with this engine
aha those are Unity engine graphics :o
Unreal Engine 4 mate
that one, I get them confused :P
Nice video Thx!
The Mario model was not made by Cryzen it was made by Nintendo
I want a remake in full of MegaMan Legends 1 (aka MegaMan 64 from the N64 console!) and 2 with extra terrain and more side quests!
If they had half a brain, they would hire the guy
If you had quarter of a brain, you would understand than this is all stolen assets from nintendo, throwed in Unreal Engine, and putting every effect in.
This guy hasn't done that much, other than horrible animations and unfinished/unpolished stuff by himself.
Awesome, Mario looked heavenly.
Yeah the graphics do look great but i think there's still alot of polishing to be done before it can be compared to Nintendo's work. The animations look stiff and lifeless and there's empty gaps in the walls / ground ... Idk it feels rushed to me.
@@justmeandmydrawingpad1843 well he hasnt finished it yet has he but i agree
He did it in two weeks so...
Steeven V. You realize he hasn't spent years on making the DEMO right? He is one single person.. at least recognize the work he has done..
Isn't this a reskin? The animations are the same. I think it's just outdated.
Love your passion Austin! Great video.
That SM64 demo looks better than odyssey. Dang.
Matthew Stephen Graphically yes, but it looks wonky as hell to control.
edit and the trees look bad too.
i wouldnt say that good.
to do what he did in two weeks, I cant knock imperfections at this point
Matthew Stephen no but it still looks great
Simply Austin It’s odd how you say in two weeks when it wouldn’t take much time at all to rip graphics and models from other games, and using basic textures and the basic unreal engine lighting.
they should hire this guy to release full games like this on pc
Can this be runned on emulator for nvidia shield?
just windows as far as I know mate. But Im not pro with these kind of fan based projects
I don't think anything can be runned??
These are specifically designed for Windows. This isn't a ROM you can just fire up in an emulator. lmao
It would have to be recompiled for ARM and packaged as an APK so I wouldn't bet on it. And if you need even a 1050 then it most likely wouldn't give a playable experience with this level of fidelity.
?
Nintendo, Sega, and whomever else's games that he has remastered, sign this man up to your team (or atleast to do remasters) to do shit like this, i was in awe for every single one, the nostalgia that these bring to me is unsurpassed, take my fucking money 💰
