Fwiw, I'm publishing a book chapter on some Wes Craven films, including Serpent and the Rainbow. It doesn't hold up as well as some other 80s horror movies (it's better than Shocker anyway, but no where near as good as Last House on the Left), but just Pullman whispering, "don't bury me: I'm not dead" is worth watching :) Anyway: 3:44 omg sick! listen to it over and over until you realize everything you grasp to in life it futile! let go and enter the void!
